Profile Description: Gelato Blu - Houston's newest gelateria & coffee shop. Our Gelato (Italian Ice Cream) is made inhouse from scratch - no mixes & no prepackaged ingredients. Described as the very best Gelato in Houston, our craft was taught to us by some of the very best gelato makers in Italy. We use these secrets to provide Houstonians the most wonderful, tasty, & authentic Gelato available. Our imported Italian coffee & espresso has also been described as "best in town."
MY REVIEW: Yummo! I tried the ACAI gelato (Brazilian berry) and now I'm addicted. My fiancee and I luckily got a seat -- not that many. Perhaps they could add more outdoor seating (only one table & 2 seats!). Come by before we eat all of it!!! Very fun, blue atmosphere.

MY REVIEW: I had the peaches and cream. Wife got raspberry-peach. Both were great. They only had one outdoor table, which I found strange, but we claimed it and enjoyed the cool evening.

MY REVIEW: Simply excellent. Every gelato flavor is so intense and wonderful- it's SO much better than ice cream, and I'm an ice cream lover. My husband and I went in last night, and they gave him a FREE gelato for his birthday! He had the Hazelnut, which he raved about, and I had Sinful Pistacio (it's pistacio with chocolate covered pistacios in it). LOVED IT ALL! We live in Rice Military and will be frequenting this shop often. Nice staff, too. Very clean. They have free wifi, for those interested. Please go and visit this great shop- you will NOT be disappointed!

MY REVIEW: So my fiancee and I stopped by on Friday night and the place was packed!!! The gelato -- we tried the Italian coffee/peppermint/amaretto -- and they didn't have any decaff coffee. It's nice to have a local place to hang out. Bring some friends and support local business!!!

MY REVIEW: So my fiance and I came back for coffee and more gelato. Can we say amazing???? We did a trio of chocolate peanut butter fudge/pumpkin pie/amaretto...Yummo. They ran out of decaf coffee though...We saw small flat screen TV up and wonder what they'll put on.
Look forward to coming back and telling more friends. Support local business! You won't be disappointed! We live in Rice Military and it's so refreshing to see non-chain in the area.

MY REVIEW: A recent trip to Rome introduced me to the delights of fig flavored gelato. It's so delicious! I recently tried Gelato Blu's version, and it was very tasty. They call it the Michaelangelo flavor (it's fig and ricotta I believe). I will have to drive into town every once in awhile to get my fig gelato fix. I'm glad at least one place in Houston has it!

MY REVIEW: We live in Rice Military and had been hoping that this place would open! The blue and white colors are quite refreshing. We had the chocolate gelato with macadamia nuts and it was quite yummy. I had a very pleasant decaf capuccino. I say hoorah and can't wait to return. Perhaps to try the waffles!

MY REVIEW: I'm just gonna parrot all the other comments. Nice decor, extremely friendly staff, & WONDERFUL gelato (which they'll let you taste pretty much to your heart's content).
My wife & I were extremely impressed with the entire experience, and look forward to our next visit.

MY REVIEW: Excellent gelato... fresh, exciting and different flavors. This is the best gelato we've had outside of Italy. Chuck and Eddie provide wonderful service and they greet every customer. The decor, stainless steel and electric blue, is spotless. Make sure to get a combination of two flavors.

MY REVIEW: I was very impressed by this little establishment. It is beautifully furnished. The two partners have done their homework, as they spent time in Northern Italy studying the art of gelato-making. Additionally, the make a Liege style yeast gaufrette (waffle) that is about as authentic as you can get. It is a sugar waffle, but, will not be the type that you are used to. It's an acquired taste but well worth the try.
Coffee: imported Italian Manuel brand. They also make gelato malts and shakes and that gets a big gold star from me. Currently my favorite flavor is Italian Rocky Road. My wife's is Passion Fruit.
Very nice people, very dedicated to their craft. It's a wonderful addition to our city. Houston is fortunate now to have two world class gelato establishments, Gelato Blu being one of them.

MY REVIEW: The two gentlemen working the counter were very nice and graciously offered samples of flavors. The waffles are wonderful, you must get one to complete your delish gelato experience. They had such a variety of flavors it was hard to narrow down my selction. I will be returning for sure as a healthier alternative to ice cream.
