MY REVIEW: This is a great little place. I have tried the Chicken Katsu, Mahi Mahi, Aloha Salad and Macaroni salad and it was all very tasty. The staff is really nice and it is reasonably priced.

MY REVIEW: Great chicken katsu! Awesome papaya salad! Cannot wait to try the kahlua pork next time! Got some malasada's to go....so good! Made to order food, not sitting under a heat lamp waiting for you! Wish this location was closer to me in Katy!

MY REVIEW: My parents took me to this gem of a restaurant during my recent trip to Houston to see them...I was half-expecting them to take to me one of the big Pappa's-chair restaurants & was very pleased that I discovered Aloha Grill instead! I had a dinner combo, getting delicious green papaya salad, Aloha salad w/ excellent sesame dressing, grilled salmon & brown rice. All the food was absolutely scrumptious & FRESH. Plus it was all flavored so nicely - I usually like to add lemon juice, salt & pepper to any fish I eat but this was already perfectly seasoned as is. I also enjoyed a refreshing watermelon slush to combat the heat (these are big enough to share, by the way). Bites of my parents' beef teriyaki & (fried) mahi mahi were also super. The counter woman/waitress was friendly (& the bathrooms were really clean too!). I loved this awesome & delicious place & I wish them MUCH success so I can eat here again when I return to Houston! So tell all your friends about it! :)

MY REVIEW: My boyfriend and I moved from Oahu 2 years ago. We were excited to try this place. It's the real deal! Even down to the Shoyu and Aloha juices! They even have Manapua!! I was too full to try it but will pick some up the next time.

MY REVIEW: Have been meaning to eat here. In the same mall as the HEB grocery I shop at, Royal Oaks. I had the garlic shrimp. Came with 2 sides, I had brown rice and papaya salad. There were 6 large shrimp, very good. The salad, lettuce and papaya, had a sweet vinegar dressing that was very good. Rice, plenty of rice. Meal without drink came to $7.31. The meal was filling. Their lunch specials vary from $4.95 to $6.95. I thought inexpensive and more than worth the price.
Service was very good and friendly. I will eat there again to try some pork and beef entrees.

MY REVIEW: Good food, just like my mother used to cook.... reminds me of home cooking. Definitely recommend this place if you like Hawaiian (a bit of Japanese flavour added to it) food.

MY REVIEW: Was my first time and was quite pleased. Good service, prices were pretty cheap. I had the mixed teriyaki plate and it was really good. Strawberry smoothie was so-so but definately not bad. And the mahi murubi was good. Will definately be back there again.

MY REVIEW: OH SO ONO! Took two of my friends and we wen' pig out! One friend had musubi for the first time - he opted for chicken - and loved it. Between the three of us we had the kalua pork, garlic shrimp and the mixed plate. Everything was fantastic - including the island staple, macaroni salad! I had the green papaya salad, and my friend had the Aloha salad - nice, tangy dressings! the kalua pork does have cabbage, too! Broke da' mouth - I'll definitely be back, even though I have to make the drive from the Inner Loop - well worth it!

MY REVIEW: This is a great little restaurant. My favorite dish is the Mixed Grill Platter and I just can't get enough of the Macaroni Salad. I guess that is an Island favorite. The only down side is I have to drive 30 minutes to get over there, but I plan to do so at least one a week. Be sure to try the Spam Musubi, which I really like.

MY REVIEW: This small new Hawaiian BBQ joint features a basic menu that includes pork kalua, chicken and ribs teryaki, and beef. Each entree includes a choice of two (from three) salads: "macaronni", "papaya" (very fresh and crispy) and "hawaiian", and one side of rice (white or brown) At 8-10$ per entree, the price is a real deal because every plate is more than enough for one. Next time, we will probably ask for one plate to share and add a salad, and extra rice.
The service is fairly fast; you ask your order at the counter, and they serve your choice in 10'.

MY REVIEW: Ate here for lunch on opening day. The owner (who lives in Hawaii) was working the counter. I had the Ahi tuna. For $8.00, this comes with rice and salad and pasta - a great value. Very fresh and well seasoned. A great taste of Hawaii in west Houston. I will defiantly return
