MY REVIEW: I usually only get to-go here... but it has always been excellent! As a note, I am not really found of most suchi because of the seaweed wrap - they will substitute the soybean paper in all of their sushi - and mmmm tht is good! My favorite is the sweet fruit filled CoCo Roll for desert! Yum!

MY REVIEW: This was my first time here...GREAT, authentic sushi. Nigiri like my grandma use to make. Yes, the service is on the slow side, so don't go if you are in a hurry. Part of the problem is that the sushi chefs are perfectionist, which you will see upon presentation of your plate- so it is worth the wait to me! I'll definitely be back!

MY REVIEW: Hikari is by far my favorite sushi place. If you are in it for the trend, go get your california rolls at I*ron Chef, but their traditional sushi is definitely the freshest we've had in all of Houston. My friends and I find ourselves craving their salmon (sake) because it melts like butter in your mouth. It really shows how they go out of their way every time we take our three year old they take time out to make him feel special, soup, balloons, etc. I've been there about a million times, and I've never had trouble with their service, and even if they may take "ten minutes" like someone said, their friendliness, and the amazing presentation of their food more than makes up for it. Whoever said to try the green tea mochi for dessert, was right on... that's if you have room after trying all the incredible sushi.

MY REVIEW: We were "ignored" too, for nearly 20 minutes. It was a Friday night, they were busy-ish, and we cut them some slack. The food, however, was excellent. Fresh and beautifully presented. We got 3 specialty rolls and nigiri. Hopefully they will hire more waitstaff or the service will improve, as I definitely intend to go back.

MY REVIEW: After being a regular Lunch & Dinner patron for months now, went in tonight and was ignored for approx 10 minutes before walking out. There were only 4 tables, and was ignored for that long.....turned out to be a blessing, as we found a much better place (MUCH better food, atmosphere, EXCELLENT ATTENTIVE SERVICE & Live Music !) around the corner on 529 at Queenston.....

Safe to say we won't be back.

MY REVIEW: First time eating sushi EVER, service was wonderful and the atmosphere was great. Restaurant was a bit small but seemed to be popular during lunch hour. Ordered the crunchy LA roll and dragon roll which were delicious!! Were served miso soup and salad before and a complimentary orange after.

Will DEFINITELY stop by again!!

MY REVIEW: This has become our favorite sushi place for my mom and I to go after a day of shopping. We have been during both lunch and dinner. Service is always the same. We have never ordered grilled items, but the appetizers and sushi are one of the best on this side of town. Our favorite is the shaggy dog.

Pros: Great, fresh sushi. Very reasonable priced. All lunch/dinners include complimentary miso soup, salad, and half decorated orange for dessert. If you sit at bar, chef will accommodate custom orders and will let you taste different types before making your choice. Prompt and very friendly service.

Cons: Have not found any yet.

MY REVIEW: I tend to be skeptical when it comes to "sushi"; having seen it show up everywhere from Chinese buffets to the deli section of your local supermarket. I was pleasantly surprised to find this little gem in the West suburbs.

I started off with the included miso soup it was lightly salted but didn't require more than a splash of soy sauce to make it perfect. I then ordered a skydiver roll(softshell crab and unagi)and a small pot of hot green tea. It was amazing to look at and even better tasting. Presentation was incredible, portions were generous and the service was excellent. The meal was topped of with half a fresh orange. This incredible meal and great service only cost $15.00. This will become a regualr destination.

MY REVIEW: Super friendly staff, excellent always fresh sushi, very accomodating, even had a toy for my 2 yr old wehn she got fussy.

This staff is great--they will do whatever you need them to do, substituting, etc. I love that the salad, soup, and dessert fruit are all free with you meal-haven't found that at ANY other sushi place. They even bring soup and fruit to our toddlers at no extra charge. Some people think the service is slow, but if you ever go sit and watch the sushi chefs, you'll realize it's that they are meticulous in presenting a great dish to you-they take pride in their work and if that make it take a bit longer, so be it. Also, I LOVE never being rushed. Most places bring your entree while you are just starting your soup. Not here, they know the meaning of courses and allow you to finish each leisurely!!

Always clean, always fresh. We go here almost every week and they know our names and our kids names.

MY REVIEW: At Hikari Sushi Bar their food is delicious, especially the rainbow sushi. The other good ones I tried were; crunchy shrimp roll, Hikari roll, and this new thing on the menu called japchei. I was so suprised at how everything looked clean and new. All the workers were so nice and the owner always greets me when i walk in, she is so polite. At Hikari they have a friendly environment. I am glad that they separate bathrooms for males and females. The food came out on time, and I didnt have to wait long for it.

I am definetly going there again for lunch.

MY REVIEW: I was not impress the first time i went there, but decided to give them another try again. I was upset that the "lunch special" chicken teri. bento box came out to $10.00. There were only 4 pieces of chicken, the tempura was not very flavorable, and the miso soup only had one tiny piece of tofu and three slices of onion. I will not be returning.

MY REVIEW: Went back and gave them another try. Very different experience. Service was relaxed, efficient and helpful. It was a Friday night and the place was PACKED! Good for Hikari!

Sat at the Sushi Bar and was very impressed with the older man running things...he had two other workers with him. His work was very masterful and you could tell he took pride in his art. Sashimi was fresh and well presented. We ordered Salmon (Sake), Unagi and Toro. All very good. Two rolls, Sky Diver and Dragon were both tasty and the Appetizers, gyoza and Shrimp dumplings (which I will be ordering again) were yummy. The gyoza sauce was just "ok" though.

Hikari does not have their liquor license and are happy to have you B.Y.O.B.!

MY REVIEW: We decided to try this new sushi joint in Copperfield. We've been long time customers of Iron Chef but decided to give Hikari a try. We were weary how well they'd do with their location, but found it to be just fine after dining there.

Ambiance was great. Decor was very modern with an asian influence. The staff greeted you and were all very attentive.

We didn't find miso soup on the menu and found out they serve you complimentary miso soup AND salad. We ordered three rolls: Dragon Roll, Viva Las Vegas and a spicy tuna...ALL were DELICIOUS. After all the rolls, we were given some canteloupe.

We were very pleased with our visit and highly recommend this restaurant for a quick sushi fix. Mind you we did come on a Monday, but it was pretty busy. Be sure to check Hikari out when you're in the Copperfield area.

MY REVIEW: Saw Hikari was open and wanted to give them a try. My daughter and I stopped in for a quick bite to check it out. We frequent I*ron Chef a great deal but are always willing to spread the wealth.

I would say it was o.k. The service was good, you can tell they are trying. Maybe if the wait staff and owners relaxe a bit...the nervous-ness was rubbing off!

My daughter had Salmon Sashimi wich was good and fresh. The presentation was lovely. I had a tempura roll...which was an i/o and ok. It was served on a bed of crunchies which was weird but ok! The Miso soup was nice, the salad was just iceberg with a scant amount of dressing.

I was not bowled over by any means and will certainly give them another try with the rest of the family.

MY REVIEW: Copperfield area sushi at reasonable prices. They haven't been open a month yet and we've been there four times already.

Great lunch combo bento boxes. Miso soup and salad comes with each entree/sushi roll. The cucumber suno is a great light summer salad. The sushi was fresh and generously portioned.

The Viva Las Vegas roll is a sight to see as well as eat with it's spicy and sweet combination with Pringles (it works!) fanning out on top.

Service has improved each time we have gone as they are working out the kinks. They seem very eager to take care of their patrons.

Try the green tea mochi for dessert.
