MY REVIEW: geat food.great food, great food. that's all i have to say.
P.S. For appetizer try their kashke bodemjan (smashed eggplants) simply the best. This is not a fancy restaurant, its average, but foods in excellent, people are friendly, and price is reasonable.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I went to Hafez with his family for mother's day (my father-in-law is Persian). Since there were 7 of us, we ordered a ton of food and shared. We had eggplant kashke, sabzi, eggplant and split pea stew, chicken barg kebab, lots of warm bread, and cucumber yogurt to name some - all delicious. The prices are great for the amount of food you get. My only complaint is the service. They are very slow, but it will not keep us from going back since there aren't good Persian restaurants on every corner.

MY REVIEW: I have been to many Persian restaurants for the past 20 years in Texas and California. I know the menu inside out and quite familiar with the type and the quality value system. One of the best bench mark menu item for most of the true Persian food (kabob) fan is the fillet or as they say it in Persian Barg (kabob). Hafez had one of the the worst one that I have ever tried. There were four in my party. Three of us ordered the Barg kabob. Honesty, it was the toughest meat (steak/kabob)that any of us has ever tried. Another disappointment for us and I am certain for most of the Fillet fan was that they had fair amount of sumac on the meat. It is customary for the meat to be untouched by the sumac and have the person seasoned it to his/her taste. That is the main reason that there are containers of the spice sumac on all the Persian restaurant tables. When one of my party member pointed this out, the wait person with an angry look on her face said "you should have asked for your Kabob to be without the sumac seasoning". How was she supposed to have guessed that this restaurant out of ordinarily prepares the Fillet kabob this way. At the end of the day, the experience was quite disappointing. The only thing that I must say is that the price was very reasonable. But the atmosphere was not any good. As the old saying "you get what you've paid for". We got what we paid for but not what we asked for.

MY REVIEW: I will start with the restaurant's one positive point which was that the food was delicious (beef kebab). Unfortunately, there is nothing else positive that could be said about the experience. The service was not bad, it was non-existent. Requested a diet coke, it was flat. Filled my own ice water, got my own silverware. The server took our order, then the same server returned 15 minutes later and asked if our order had been taken yet? Then about 30 minutes later a man came to the table and asked again what our order was. One of the three main courses for our table was brought out. The rice was cold. About 15 minutes later the 2 other main courses for our table were brought out. The rice was cold but the beef kebab was excellent. But, not good enough that I would return to the restaurant or recommend it to anyone. It's been many years since I did not leave a tip but it was seriously warranted in this case.
