MY REVIEW: I've read many of the other reviews, and I don't know what type of Cajun food those people are used to eating, but it surely isn't the real thing. My wife decided to try Cajun Tails one afternoon for an early dinner. I got the blackened chicken topped with crawfish etouffee, and I started off with the seafood gumbo. The one overall problem was that everything was so incredibly flavorless. The gumbo was so salty that you couldn't taste anything else. I don't exactly know how you blacken chicken and still make it bland, BUT THIS WAS!!! And the etouffee topping on the chicken was almost all more like a celery and onion goo. I wound up just scraping it off. The original R*agin Cajun down on Richmond by the railroad tracks is still the best cajun food in town. Make the drive and wait in line...it's worth it. But definitely stay away from this place!!!

MY REVIEW: Doesnt take much talent to fry food and add a bunch of salt. The fried aligator (The reason I went because I wanted to try it) is mostly bread with a chewy center. I wasnt impressed. I was a little disgusted at the amount of oil all the other fried food we had soaked up. I could literally taste the oil over the food. Ive had better cajun food from places that dont even mainstream cajun.

MY REVIEW: We tried the boudin, blackened tilapia, fried shrimp, etouffee, jambalaya, seafood gumbo... EVERYTHING was good. There was a woman at another table who said she had been there at least once a day for the past 10 days. Pleasant staff, courteous service. The only drawback, if you can even count this, is that you pay before you eat. This means you either pay the tip separately or guess at how the service will be.

MY REVIEW: Great restaurant! The food is fresh & delicious at about 1/2 the price of more expensive cajun restaurants (starts with P*appa...). The corn maque choux is absolutely wonderful. A wide variety of choices. Finally a decent restaurant in this part of town.

MY REVIEW: Good Cajun food. low prices. I still miss the old French Q*uarter on 1960 but this spinoff is highly recommended though. this place is good.

MY REVIEW: The restaurant has a couple of minor kinks to work out as does any new restaurant, but overall, it is the same food as its sister restaurant, the French Q*uarter Cajun Restaurant on 529 and Highway 6. The food choices are slightly different than French Q*uarter and the restaurant only has counter service instead of waiters and waitresses, but Cajun Tails is closer to my house and the prices are slightly cheaper. The atmosphere is casual and laid back too. I'll be going back until everybody knows my name.

MY REVIEW: The beer was ice cold as I watched the Texans game on one of the two flat screen t.v.s in the dining room. I had some boudin balls for an appetizer which I have never had before and they were so good. My wife had the blackened catfish with dirty rice and she loved it. The chicken fried steak was great and I was so excited that I didn't need three people to finish it. The atmosphere was laid back. My wife and I got a bucket of beer and watched the game we had a good time. I will definitley go back. Soon everyone will know my name!!!!!!!!

MY REVIEW: The Food is great and the Desserts are even BETTER! The desserts are home made!!! Lots of choices on the food menu and lots of choices for desserts usually over 10)! Reasonably priced. Desserts start at only $ 1.50. I get to go food and desserts about 1 a week and eat in every 2 weeks.

In order to find it you need to go through the W*endy's parking lot on 529 or U Turn on Barker Cypress (if you coming from I-10). Shopping center next to the Gas Station on the corner.
