MY REVIEW: First time there with a few friends was not impressed. Atmosphere was nothing to rave about. Did not live up to expectations. Steak was slightly overcooked (asked for med rare). I cook better steak than that. Service was excellent though oh yea baked potato meant to be shared was a joke.

MY REVIEW: We went there for Valentine's Day and it was fabulous. I normally won't do a steak, because everywhere I go, they can't get it right. They got my rib-eye perfect the first time. I'm telling you that is major kudo's in my book. The food was fantastic and the waiters were fabulous. I will definetely go back. I can't wait.

MY REVIEW: I'll start off by saying , my steak was delicious and my wife says hers was as well.I had the Prime Ribeye ans she had the filet. Now, on to my comments. As nice of a place that this is -- I did find it VERY noisy also. We sat upstairs. If you want an intimate setting , go to M*orton's or somewhere else. Our waiter was not the bst of the bunch -- he seemed irritated that he had our table so I did not like his service. He also kept bumping my chair leg everytime he walked by to attend to another of his tables -- I finally moved to the other side of the table - Yes they take a while to bring your food. Our appetizers were the Crab Cake and Shrimp Remoulade - -although those onion rings did look good! . Overall I think the food was fantastic. I think $3 for a 6 oz bottle of Coca-Cola is ridiculous.. We will go back, but probably get there when the open.

MY REVIEW: The first time we went there it was excellent. The second time we went it was "so-so" so we decided to give it another chance. Here's the scoop. For the price you pay, both the food and service should be excellent. However, on our last time to visit it was none of the above. Appetizers took 30 minutes to get to the table. Entrees took 45 minutes. The food just just o.k. at best. the decor is nice but loud and cold. I'm going to drop my big bucks somewhere else!

MY REVIEW: I have been to Del Frisco's two times since they opened. My dining experineces has been excellent. I did not have any of the issues that "happy35" had. The window view on the second floor makes feel like your in another city. The 8oz Filet was great and I do not recall the restaurant offering a sizzling platter like Ruth's Ch*ris does. I guess that's something "happy35" has brought to my attention.

MY REVIEW: If you go, keep your expectations low. My husband and I went for my birthday and I had extremely high expectations as my Mom had told me all about how great Del Frisco's in Ft. Worth is.

Shortly after we arrived, a cocktail glass was knocked off a table in front of the maitre d's podium. While we waited, three parties were seated and the shattered glass remained on the floor with restaurant patrons slogging through it.

We asked for bread, and our waiter literally shouted across two tables to a young man to bring us bread. It happened to be extremely loud in the dining area as a holiday party had occurred earlier in the day and several people stayed over in the bar downstairs and upstairs; regardless I did't think the shouting was appropriate.

We ordered appetizer and salad then entrees. The waiter remembered he forgot to ask us what sides we wanted and came back for that order later. I asked for no bacon on my salad (and had a bit of a conversation about what else was on the salad). Re-iterated that everything else would be fine, but please, no bacon. My house salad WITH bacon was served to my husband and I got his wedge salad.

The filets were fine. My husband LOVED his. Mine was good. The plate was not sizzling hot like my Mom said it would be, just warm. Our sides were served in reverse again. My husband was presented with my asparagus and I was presented with his baked potato.

We're not sure who our waiter was. They guy who helped us at first informed us he was not really our waiter and that he was just helping out. The person who might have been our actual waiter never introduced himself or noted that he would be the person responsible for taking care of us that evening.

Despite the poor service and freezing cold temperature in the dining area, I was still looking forward to dessert and coffee - afterall it was my birthday and I only finished half my filet to save room for dessert. An after dinner menu of desserts and drinks was never offered, and I was served a complimentary piece of Lemon Cake; after one bite, I was not impressed as I was looking forward to choosing my own dessert and savoring it with a cup of coffee...

We were ready to go and the waiter was no where to be found. My husband got up from the table to track him down. When he found him, the waiter had no idea who he was. Seriously! After returning home and sharing our thoughts about what occurred and how much we paid for the dismal experience, my husband called the manager. The manager said he'd look into it and call us back. We never heard from him again. How's that for exceptional customer service?

MY REVIEW: on my third visit, i decided it would be my last. nothing on the menu is exceptional enough to warrant their prices, although i must admit the filet is tasty. the waitstaff is awkward, service unbareably slow, the crabcakes are better at v*c and anthony's, the lobster tails seem to always be overcooked (had it twice), the steak tartare is bland and has a scary color, the sides are just decent at best. not worth the money or the hassle of dealing with galleria traffic.

MY REVIEW: Came here for the prime strip and I was not disappointed. I went to their Dallas location about 2 years ago, and I was really looking forward to eating that excellent NY strip again.

The service was very good. We were a party of 4 (with 2 kids) and our waiter made us feel very welcome. He was very attentive and the entire staff was on top of everything.

The atmosphere is also great here with good music at the right volume. All in all, this is a keeper. I will alternate it with my other favorite steakhouse here in Houston..P*appas Bros.

MY REVIEW: 1)The table we'd reserved had the wrong number of seats. 2)I asked the waitress if the lobster was live Maine. She said yes and brought a frozen lobster tail. She didn't seem to understand the difference. No offer to exchange. 3)The kobe steak for $90 was the toughest kobe I've ever eaten. I asked for the Kobe and Lobster to be split with my companion (surf and turf) which was not done. 4)Ordered hot tea with desert which was never delivered. The tuna tartar and house salad were good but overall a dismal experience for the price...

MY REVIEW: We had a group dinner here and were excited about trying it out. The service was slow. The VIP martini was guite good, though.

Dinner was at 6:30PM. We had 7 people to our table and kept on asking for some bread and for them to take our orders. They didn't take our orders until 7:30pm. When they brought out the bread, it was one tiny piece that was palm sized. Their house salad was okay. The filet and ribeye were good, but we weren't that impressed with the potatoes or spinach. Once again, the side plate came out to be enough for only 2 people. When we asked for more, the waiters seem surpised and seemed bothered that we were asking for more.

The atmosphere seems great, but I think they need to improve their service for large parties. There's potential there.

MY REVIEW: Hands down the BEST steakhouse to hit Houston and I can honestly say the BEST steakhouse I have ever been to-anywhere (and i travel a lot)! Here's a tip - arrive by 630 because its madness after that. My family and I had reservations at 6 on a Saturday night and it calm and quiet. Since Galleria traffic is a nightmare, pull your car right at the door and valet park for $5. By 7 the crowd of steak lovers poured in. We couldnt believe how quickly it got crowded but after you taste the drinks and steak you'll see why.

For me, first impression of the restaurant is always the waiter. I hate getting people that look like they hate their jobs and make you feel like you're bothering them. This was not the case at Del Friscos. We had a fabulous waiter named Mario. He had a great personality and made everyone feel welcomed. He knew his stuff and always made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely ask for him if its possible.

We started off with the crab cakes and shrimp cocktail - both fabulous. The crab cakes were not the usually batter with a couple of pieces of crab meat. Here, the entire plate were chunks of juicy pieces. Then we had the house dinner salad. Even that was amazing! We then recieved our steaks - filet mignons, prime ribeye, veal chop. All cooked to perfection! FYI - if you ask for medium rare - it will be a little more rare than other places. For me, it was fine but for others you might want to stick with the medium.

Moving on to dessert....it was my parents birthday so they brought out the best lemon cake ever...and i hate anything lemon flavored! What does that tell you??? We also ordered the strawberry romanoff served with vanilla icec cream- excellent. By the end of the meal my family could not stop raving about the restaurant. Everything from the service to food was beyond fabulous. Usually after a steak dinner I tell myself that I cant have another piece for weeks but here I actually crave for it the next day!

On another note - if you're a young professional single ...the bar area is happening. Good looking people, dressed to impress, and ready to have a good time! This is not a stuffy restaurant but be sure to put on your best outfits. Thank You Del Frisco's for landing in Houston! Enjoy Everyone!
