MY REVIEW: First time to review this restaurant. Work near La Porte and have eaten here about 10 times. They have an awesome loaded potato an it is great to see freshly chopped beef instead of two day old sliced conversion. The 9.99 everyday Ribeye, Incredible taste and tenderness. Don't let the price fool you and keep you away. Last night I had the half chicken and both grilled veggies. As usual, chicken was some of best tasting grilled chicken ever. Wife had the red beans and rice, the portion was insane. Her little brother showed up unexpectedly and got an all you can eat meal out of our left-overs. Even the toddlers scarfed their chicken tenders, all the while saying,"this yummy, this yummy." I noticed that on Thursday from 4-Close it's all you can eat BBQ for 10.25. I must go try their Ribs. C-Ya There. star-star-star-star-star

MY REVIEW: We usually go to the one on Underwood but tried the one in La Porte since it is closer. Both locations have been amazing with extremely friendly staff. The portions are pretty massive which is great for leftovers. I usually get the brisket plate with 2 sides & roll & it's always been really good.
My favorite thing about these restaurants is that we have ordered to go orders & the portion in the to go orders is just as much as when you eat it there. Usually when you order to go at other places they skimp out on the portions but here they don't. We have tried many BBQ places but none have yet to beat Kings as our favorite BBQ place to go to.

MY REVIEW: Best BBQ in the Bay Area and some of the best in the State! I like the new location better, but A/C was really struggling the evening I was there. Sides are ok, the creamed corn may be the best of the lot. I usually judge a BBQ joint by the sliced brisket and this is some of the best. The sliced here can stand with what I've had at famous places in Lockhart, Elgin and Taylor---although the sausage doesn't compare as well. Chicken and pork ribs are as good or better than any I have ever had.
Besides the A/C, my only complaint: if I have to endure one more meal where a soccer game is blaring in Spanish.........

MY REVIEW: This was our first visit to the new location. Everything was as good as at the old location but the new place has more room & is nicer. We both had the BBQ stuffed potato. HUGE & WONDERFUL! They slice up brisket, chop it and load your potato right in front of you. I've eaten at all the well known spots in Texas except S*nows' in Lexington. This place just might be the best in Texas. And the folks are great! My wife & I live in the 290/Jones area. We are planning to drive to LaPort to get BBQ for our next family gathering. That's how great it is.

MY REVIEW: Just a couple days ago I was in Lockhart at world famous S*mitty's Market, and I think the ribs at King's have S*mitty's beat. This was my 1st visit to King's so I got the Hungry Man plate so I could sample 4 meats. Pork ribs are big and tender. They may be the best meat at King's, although brisket, chicken and sausage were way above average. And they didn't skimp on the portions. Sides of red beans & rice and dirty rice were just ok---it's the meat that shines at this little BBQ joint run by nice folks.

MY REVIEW: This was our 3rd visit (we live far away). This is one of very few places that slices off meat and chops it up for a chopped beef sandwich or stuffed potatos. Most places serve chopped beef out of a crock pot, (read left overs, ends and pieces, loaded with sauce). I NEVER order anything with chopped beef if I see them spoon it out of a crock pot or turkey roaster. This visit, we had the best stuffed potatos we ever ate anywhere. (I do not know how they do chopped beef at the other locations.) This place is a winner! Nice folks as well.

MY REVIEW: As the other reviews spoke, there is no better barbque. I had the 1/2 chicken and it was the best I have ever had. Ribs are fall off the bone tender. Their new location in Deer Park (Pasadena Blvd and Underwood) is much closer and more tables. Kings is open Sundays and has become our after church eatery. I can think of no weak points. Enjoy All

MY REVIEW: I am a barbecue hound. I'll go out of my way for good barbecue and King's is where I go. It's about 20 miles from my home, and whenever I want ribs or brisket, this is where I go. The ribs are fantastic! The brisket is tender, smoky and never fatty. The sides are great! The sauce is well above average. Get the rolls. Darn, now I want to go get me some King's BBQ!!!

MY REVIEW: We've been going there once a month or so for about 2 years. Always good, friendly service. Reasonable prices. I'm picky and place special orders (plain and dry) and usually get it to go. They have never messed up an order.

MY REVIEW: Good BBQ! I recently moved to La Porte & was looking for something nearby. It's convenient, good food, lots of variety as far as sides, and extremely nice folks. Will definitely go back.

MY REVIEW: Had some great BBQ here right after Ike. They were cooking outside and it tasted great. I've ordered takeout several Fridays in a row from here now and they always get it right, with big portions and good prices. Dan likes the big potatoes and Bobby likes the ribs. I like the brisket, the sauce and the okra. Super nice people, stop in and give them a try!

MY REVIEW: Based on the postings at B4U Eat, my wife and I ate here a couple of weeks back. My wife had the chopped beef & I had the sliced. We both like our sandwiches. My wife said it was the best BBQ she ever ate in a resturant. While I can think of a couple of places I prefer, liked my sandwich a lot. The people are very nice and you get a lot of meat for the price. Highly recommended.

MY REVIEW: Small hole in the wall BBQ restaurant. The staff is very friendly and service was quick. I had the chopped beef sandwich, fries and ice tea. The sauce on the sandwich has a nice flavor, however the fries were cold and only half cooked. I would go here again but probably try the onion rings instead. Prices were average.
