MY REVIEW: The cook was really friendly and the food was good and the prices were good too. The tea and hummus was delicious. Sometimes they have a waiter and sometimes they don't so you never know what to do when you get there. hehe. : )

MY REVIEW: I was glad to see a positive review of this place as I’d noticed it before passing by but never remembered to try it. I’m very glad I did.
I was surprised upon entering to discover it’s a counter service restaurant - and a nicely appointed one. I had expected a secluded, white-table cloth type place because of the 2nd floor location. The staff has been very friendly, especially the waitress who, despite it being counter service, checks on you regularly to be sure everything is okay. There is difficulty in understanding however so I recommend studying the menu on the website before going to have a better idea of what you want.
The complimentary plate of herbs and veggies is nice - parsley, mint, panir (Iranian feta), walnut, radish, onion. Apparently the deal is, with a paid appetizer you also get a pot of hot tea if you want it (other beverages are for a price), a cup of aash jo (creamy barley soup), and taftoon, the Persian version of a Middle Eastern flat bread. I like the taftoon here better than what I’ve had at K*asra.
I’ve had the tah deeg, the Persian crispy rice, as an appetizer, topped with ghormeh sabzi, a signature stew with beef chuck, pureed parsley, Perian lemons, and fenugreek. The rice was over done I think but the ghormeh was very unique and very good. I’ve also tried the kubideh - too easy a choice at a Persian restaurant! It was good but not adventuresome enough for me - this place is more than just a kabobberie like the dingy little place across the street.
On another visit I had the tabouli for an appetizer - their version is very, very lemony and has very little oil. I also tried the gheymeh, another beef stew with yellow split peas and tomatoes. It too was good but I prefer the sabzi. It was accompanied by a generous plate of saffron rice. I have been told by a gourmet acquaintance that no one does rice like the Persians and I was completely blown away by the rice at K*asra but the rice here is not as spectacular.
Nevertheless this is a very nice restaurant and I’ll definitely be going back to try more items.

MY REVIEW: I took a family member to dinner there the other night. It was generally a good place and we will be back at some point. They are on the second floor of a strip mall located on Hillcroft ave.
Chicken Soltani was excellent, two different varieties of chicken on a bed of basmati rice. The soup was very unique and tasty. The tea was excellent, the best tea I have had in a long time. Only down point was that we did not receive any bread.
Overall, a good value for your money. Tasty food. I would recommend it.
