Railroad Cafe
105 N Railroad Ave, Humble, Texas 77338
MY REVIEW: I was disappointed to say the least. The service was good my dish was really good, however I don't think it was worth the money. It supposed to be a fine dining establishment but the menus had white out and prices were corrected with an ink pen. The place was very small and it was not all that comfortable. On a scale from 1-10 I give Railroad Cafe a 5.

MY REVIEW: I read all the reviews for this establishment. I arrived with my girlfriend and with an overall opinion that this was going to a fantastic meal. We were truely disappointed. While the resturant is cozy, it is a bit hard to have a conversation and be able to hear the other person with everyone else talking. The place is simply too too small. I found the meu to be overwhelmed with seafood dishes. No steaks whatsoever and the pasta dishes are limited, unless of course you like seafood. The food was good, but not fantastic. The owner was quite charming and helpful BUT for the money, I would go somewhere else.

MY REVIEW: When we want to treat ourselves to a decadent Italian dinner, we drive out to Humble. Wayne and his wife (our chef and waitress for the evening) make us feel right at home. Our meal begins with an antipasto platter that is off menu - but is always available to those who ask. Homemade mozzarella, chunks of gorgonzola cheese, olives, tomato slices, marinated red peppers, raw garlic- all eaten with the lovely bottomless basket of bread. The veal dishes are superb, and are an easy choice for my husband. I always struggle to choose my main course - debating between the farfalle carbonara and a shrimp and scallop dishes. Sherri had an easy solution, combine them both. I am licking my lips just thinking about how delicious it was. No room for dessert this time, but the chocolate cake was divine last time around. Intimate setting with just a handful of tables ensures you will get wonderful service and attention to every detail of your meal. I wish it weren't so far away - but absolutely worth the drive!
