MY REVIEW: I dont think JEFF visited the same Baileys that the rest of us have enjoyed. That being said many in our area were without power for up to 16 days. My family and i enjoyed the food at Baileys whether it was in the restaurant or takeout.
I actually went there on Friday when the Hurricane was beiginning to come on shore. Everyone seemed in a panic and most businesses were closing early. I heard one of the ladys tell someone on the phone that they would be open until the power went out. Now thats working for your customers!!!

MY REVIEW: My first time to visit Bailey's. I chose it for our 16th wedding anniversary.
I turned down reservations at another upscale restaurant to eat here. Being in the restaurant industry and a native houstonian, I know the good and the bad. Let me tell everyone that this place is devine!!!! Everything was exceptionally good. The personal attention, the quality of food, atmosphere, ambiance, everthing was perfect!!! I am a restaurant critic. My wife hates going out to eat with me cuz I always complain. Not this time folks. The waiter was very attentive, johnny on the spot and left us along when we wanted. The food is the best I ever had. Beats The S*trip House, V*ic and Anthonys, F*lemings, ect..
The banana's fosters for desert set off like an explosion. 5 Stars everyone, you can't go wrong w/ this one.

MY REVIEW: Ate there tonight & was not impressed. The jumbo cheese burger was not jumbo & kind of bland (no ooze factor). I did not like the onion rings & the fries were just ok. service was good, probablly because we were the only ones there. this place is way over priced. Cheese burger basket $7.95 plus $1.10 for onion rings. For 4 people bill was $45.00 that's just too much for an OK burger. I will not be back.

MY REVIEW: Went for breakfast Saturday.
Strong Point: PLENTY of time to read the newspaper cover to cover before you can hope to see any food. I was lucky to get the attention of a waiter for water or a menu. 20 minutes before I was able to place an order; 45 minutes later the food arrived. This is eggs, people - they take three minutes to cook.
Weak point: The food. Huevos Racheros were two over medium eggs with two tablespoons of out-of-the jar salsa on them. There was glop of very greasy chorizo on the side, two tortillas, refried beans in a bowl, and some protatoes. The potatoes were okay... $10
Summary: Overall it took one and a quarter hours to eat breakfast, and the food was lousy.

MY REVIEW: This is one of the best places to eat in the area. The "home of the jumbo" is typical diner look on the inside, nothing fancy but tables and chairs, photos of the days gone by when there were several Bailey's Restaurants around Houston by the register...but the food is like nothing you will find in a chain fast food place or restaurant. It is 10 times better.
"The Jumbo" is a traditional Southeast Texas burger with all the fixin's and seasoned fries that are good to the last crispy bite. The fried Shrimp is some of the best I have ever had, and even the club sandwich is better than your normal club. Highly recommend stopping by for food that you can't find too often anymore. These people really do want you to come back, unlike the fast food places that are everywhere.
