MY REVIEW: I LOVE THIS PLACE. Very tasty and fresh burgers, they make them each day from beef that has never been frozen. I particularly like the 'spicy' meat. The french fries are cooked when you order them so no cold limp fries there. Soooo tasty! Only small problem is patty sizes are a little bit on the wimpy side. But is cheap and good!

MY REVIEW: After reading the reviews, I was eager to check out Tornado Burger. Big disappointment. I tried the spicy double meat burger. The spicy dressing overpowers the meat. You end up tasting mostly the sauce. Not only that, the size of the meat patties was disappointing. The fries seemed to be freshly cut but was way, way too greasy. Don't think I'll be going back. Besides, the construction and traffic around the restaurant are a bit too much.

MY REVIEW: We were craving a great burger last week and I remembered reading great reviews of Tornado Burger on here. I dragged my credulous husband here to get burgers-to-go for the family, and we were not disappointed. We both had the double meat/double cheeseburgers and fries, singles for the kids. Fantastic burgers and at a great price! The only downside is that traffic is pretty heavy on that part of Murphy Road, which can make it difficult to get into the lot and takes too long to get home, smelling the burgers all the way! I can't wait to go back!

MY REVIEW: This was my first visit to this restaurant and as it turns out it won't be my last. I had the double meat, double cheese spicy burger which I found to be unique and delicious. In a nutshell it's a quality burger that is reasonably priced.

MY REVIEW: A place we can afford to take the whole family (7). Burgers taste good, and the fries are skinny, crispy, and very tasty. You might want to order the double because they burgers aren't real big, but the flavor makes up for the size.

MY REVIEW: after reading a review, i made my way over to murphy road for a look/taste-see. i ordered a single pattie w/cheese and after devouring it, ordered another just like it. this is the real deal with tasty non frozen no-soy beef and a nice bun that isn't massive bun overkill or sourdough (YUK!!) the spice factor only adds to the taste.

when will we get a tornado burger in north houston?

MY REVIEW: I heard about this place a little over a month ago and finally made the drive today to try one of their burgers. I must say, I was quite impressed. Although I live 20 minutes away, I will undoubtedly go back.

On the negative side, the fries were on the greasy side, but their deliciousness clearly made up for that. Also, I agree with a reviewer below, if you're looking for I*n-n-Out, they're not really comparable other than the wording used to sell the burgers. Burgers were more similar to two of my favorite places, B*ubba's and Bellaire B*roiler Burger.

MY REVIEW: How can you trust a review that comes from someone who names himself after another hamburger chain?? The burgers are extremely good and fresh, the fries are different than usual, in a good way. The price is outstanding. The only drawback is that there is not much variety -- the menu is simply burgers, fries and drinks. But everything is very good and a great value. The inside of the place is decorated well but hopefully after they start turning some profit, they will get rid of the fast food style benches they inherited, and get real tables and chairs.

MY REVIEW: I found this to be a most refreshing and satisfying burger. On my way to Alvin I make it a point to drop in and pick one up for myself. It's so good I sometimes have to just look at it for a little before eating it. Their shakes are also refreshing.

MY REVIEW: This is my second time posting on Tornado Burger. For some unknown reason, my first post was never posted/approved. Don't know why.

Here's the real deal: their burgers are okay. Nothing special. Inexpensive as well. But anyone who compares Tornado Burger to In*NOut Burger is out of his mind. Doesn't even come close. And Tornado Burger's fries are some of the worst I've ever had. They were greasy and soggy and way too salty. I have a suspicion that many of the positive reviews below are from Tornado Burger themselves.

MY REVIEW: I pass Tornado Burger everyday on my way home. Read the reviews in the Houston Chronicle. Decided I would try it. My sister and I went to gether. She ordered cheeseburger spicy. I ordered regular double spicy. LOVED IT! The french fries are fantastic. Don't know which we liked better. After we ate, had to resist urge to go through drive-thru and get orders to go. Better than any homemade burgers I ever ate. The large fast food chains in area...better look out! Atmosphere is very cozy and laid-back...no pretense. Soda pop machine may need a little upgrade...but no big deal. Told my young adult son about it last night. He wants to go today. May try the homemade shakes next time. WILL BE BACK AGAIN & AGAIN!

MY REVIEW: Great hamburgers the regular and spicy versions are wonderful.Great French fries. Good service. On the negative place has a large coca cola sign up but only serves Pepsi. I think that is wrong.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I treat ourselves to a Tornado Burger at least once a week. It is absolutely the BEST burger we've ever had. They have homemade buns, fresh ground chuck and the mystery sauce is to die for. The french fries are incredible. This is the best buy in Houston and is well worth the trip to the heart of First Colony for dinner. If you live in the area, skip all the howty towty restaurants in town and stop on by for some decent food for a change. A fair price and fabulous food....very trendy.

MY REVIEW: These burgers are mouthwatering delicious. I drove my daughtert here after school and had the cheeseburger combo and I felt like I was back in IN n OUT burger in San Francisco, Ca. I agree with the review below, they taste much like In n OUt Burger. Juicy, fresh, and the cheese is so silky. If you like classic american tasting burgers, this is the place to go, most definately.

I left the brown bag in my car and got in this morning and it smelled soo good. The fries, try and find fries better than Tornado's in Houston. Fast- really, cheap, fresh, and BIG burgers. My daughter is picky but had no complaints about these burgers. I hope Tornado stays around a while. I don't have a taste for any other burger selling fast food place than this. Also, if you're a vegetarian, they have veggie patties as well, another thing I love about them. Give it a try, you'll never know how good they taste till you do.

MY REVIEW: This stand is owned by the same people who own Tornado T*aco and used to own C*howmeister's. They claim they ground their own beef and fresh cut their fries. The best part is the cost of a hamburger is only $1.65, and a cheeseburger is only $1.85. Their food reminds me a lot of I*n-N-Out - the secret sauce tastes a lot like I*n-N-Out and they like to load fresh lettuce and other veggies onto the burger. The meat was a little disappointing, didn't look to be fresh ground and a little chintzy, but for $1.85, it's not a bad deal. The fries are excellent - good consistency, and they do taste fresh cut.

The location has a lot of fast food and car related stuff on the walls, and it's nice and clean (although it was hot). It's in an area where traffic's tough because of Highway 90A construction, but hopefully they will survive that. I'd go back again, it's not the best burger I've had in Houston but it's good, cheap and close by.
