MY REVIEW: Best breakfast tacos in the area! The Philly Cheesesteak is the bomb! Ironically I have not had a burger or fries there, but my husband has, and he loves the spicy burgers!

MY REVIEW: I have been going here since this location opened. The first time I went there I ordered a spicy burger and fries. The burger was excellent, however the fries were soggy. Every visit since, I cannot find one thing to complain about, and I am a VERY critical person... I have ordered everything on the menu and often find myself ordering two entrees because they are all that good and reasonably priced. The philly cheesesteaks are amazing and even the chicken phillys are excellent. I was hesitant to try the gyro at a place called Tornado Burger, but it gives the big name Greek restaurant in montrose a serious run for the money. And then theres the breakfast tacos...wow. Quality ingredients truly make a world of difference.

OWNER RESPONSE: Folks, I am the owner of the burger joint. Day one, we had a problem with the potatoes. They sent us Colorado instead of Idaho that was labelled Idaho. If you go to our face book page, we posted immediately that we were having issues with fries. The meat is fresh-ground beef chuck, the buns are made by hand, and if you had a bad experience, just let us know. We'll make up for it.

As new businesses go, we've worked out all the kinks. We opened without any fanfare, but even then we got busy. Try us again. If you wish, I'll personally give a nickel tour of my premises...show you how we make the meat, and what you are getting for your money. You'll get the best burgers and fries in Houston...BAR NONE!

MY REVIEW: We live around the corner from the new Long Point location, and my hubby had been eagerly (understatement!)awaiting this opening, since he loves the Stafford location. We went the first week they opened. I am impressed that they grind their own beef; that's a major plus for me- both for flavor and safety reasons. The patty was hand-formed and tasted as if we'd grilled it at home on the pit! It was however over-salted and a little dry, but the great flavor trumped everything. We've sent two other Spring Branch families over there, and they both complained that the fries were delicious, but way too greasy and weren't otherwise impressed with the hamburgers or Philly Cheese steak (strange seasoning). I have to agree about the greasy fries, but that's something easily remedied. The hope is that the kinks will get worked out soon. When you're making fresh food, not fast food, there are always more variables. Happy to hear that they're adding shakes and malts! Try it and let them know what you think! We want Tornado Burger to succeed!

MY REVIEW: After reading all the hype on the new location and how good these burgers are I could not wait to try one. I will give it to the young Asian man that takes your order...very nice and great at explaining the menu and happy to help you..but that is where the good stuff ends.

This has got to be the worst burger and fries I have ever had in my life.

If you like double fried fries that are so heavy with grease and look like they are dirty from the grease being old...this is the place for you.

The burger patty is so thin it is like there is no meat on the bun at all.

I do not understand how anyone could compare this place to I*n and Out Burger....please NO WAY.

Spend $15 for two people to eat and only ate the burger...I did not think my acid reflux medicine could take care of all that grease on the fries.

Wish I would have went to F*ive Guys or S*mashburger...and had my $15 back.

MY REVIEW: After a long wait, the “famous” Tornado burger opened for business. All of us in Spring Branch have been waiting to give them a try. I went on day one, had the spicy burger with fries and drink. Quickly I realized that I should have waited for them to get organized and their cooks trained. I have to say it was disappointing all around, with the exception of the super large drink. I returned yesterday for one of the Philly steak sandwiches, the place was busy and it took a long time to get my food. Again soggy fries, the overly salty & soggy burger was replaced with over cooked steak that had no flavor at all. The drink was the best thing on the menu. Hope they get it together, because I love a good burger!

MY REVIEW: Tripple meat spicey, pickles and bacon only reg fries and 2- octerberfest beers, you cant go wrong. I also drive at least 30 miles round trip for this place they had me at(can I help you).I have eaten there almost as long as they have been in business, and will continue to eat there as long as quality and freshness are consistent.Crew is for the most part consistent ,have met owner and son who owns and runs the place.I eat there at least once a week thats alot for a burger joint but if it feels and taste good just do it.

MY REVIEW: Well, I couldn't resist and had to go back the next day for another one. And guess what folks, I've been informed by the owner that they will be ordering SAN-DEL peppers for the true Philly Cheesesteak connoisseurs - so what we have here now is the ONLY real-deal Philly Cheesesteak in the entire Houston/Harris County area and beyond! NOBODY else has the peppers used in Philly. I'm super happy about this new development so I had to come back and add to my initial review. :-D Tornado Burger will now be 10/10, the PERFECT Philly Cheesesteak - as good as it can get! Thanks so much Tornado Burger!!

MY REVIEW: After moving to Misery City from the Galleria area, home of Jake's Philly Steaks, which are way overpriced for the poor rendition they offer, I happened to be driving along Murphy Road in Stafford and saw the Tornado Burger sign with the word "Cheesesteaks" listed below. Then I passed it a few more times. Having grown up on Philly cheesesteaks, I couldn't pass this place another time. After ordering a "shaved rib-eye" cheesesteak with provolone and grilled onions, I happened to meet the owner who was assisting with turning a key to turn on the soda fountain. He's a very personable guy who obviously takes a lot of pride in his business and his menu. When my order was ready, I could immediately see a cheesesteak prepared as if I'd ordered it in Philly. It was served very hot with the cheese melted nicely over the meat. The first bite told the tale -- this was absolutely delicious and done perfectly. After years of grumbling that there wasn't anything in the Houston area that could compare to what you get in Philly, I was transported home. I told the owner that my seal of approval wasn't easy to get, but he got it! I also mentioned the ONLY detractor: They don't have the San-Del peppers (sweet or hot) that are available in mostly any shop you walk into in Philly. Other than that, this is perfection I give them 9 stars out of 10, the peppers being the only thing that would make it 10/10. Way to go Tornado Burger - I will be a frequent customer!!!

MY REVIEW: i completely agree w/Brett about the nasty change in what used to be a great burger. it was rubbery, just like it had been frozen after it had been cooked.

way to go tornado burger, you screwed up a very good thing!

MY REVIEW: The inside had been remodeled since we were there last and it was a nice clean look. However, the burgers were horrible. No longer were the patties hand made, but were very obviously pre-made and frozen. They had the consistancy of rubber and no flavor to speak of. I would no longer recommend this as a good place to get a decent burger. M*cDonalds, B*urger King, or W*endy's are all better choices.

MY REVIEW: By far the best burgers in town! So much better than In and Out Burger, been going to this restaurant since it opened, and the renovations the store is going through will only enhance their business
