No Small Affair Restaurant & Catering

MY REVIEW: I can't say enough about this place - just try it! The menu varies daily, but stays the same weekly. No matter what day I go, the food is always wonderful, hot, fresh and served with a smile. Even her ice tea is great. Cheeseburgers? The absolute best. Chicken fried steak on Thursday, fish and shrimp on Friday - my favorites. Her fried okra and onion rings are OMG good. Love her carrots and she even shared her recipe with me. Five stars in my book - the only 5 star restaurant I know, and I eat there A LOT!

MY REVIEW: I am so in love with this place. It is near my subdivision and is my home away from home when I don't have the time to cook a good meal for my family. I will sometimes plan their weekly menus into my weekly menu for the don't cook night. Ms. Sharon is always friendly and welcomes you with a smile. The staff is very professional as well as down to earth.

We have eaten almost everything on the menu. However, I had the pleasure of visiting on a Tuesday night for the first time and had a couple of orders of the Smothered Ox Tails, Collard Greens, Yams & cornbread. OMG!!! It tasted like I was at my Grandmother's kithcen table. The two orders were large portions and was enough to feed my family of four. The tails were very tender with perfect seasoning. The YAMS were the best (just right)added to the combination of the greens left our taste buds screaming for more.

My family loves this place and requests it weekly. Everything is good on the menu but some of the family favorites are Fish Fridays (Grilled or Fried) with Shrimp, BBQ Sat, Peach Cobbler, Chicken Fried Steak, Meatloaf, Fried Winglet Chicken, and the fried okra is the best. Even if you are not in this area of Hwy 6 - trust me that it would be well worth the trip to try out No Small Affair. (Had my ox-tails this week on Tuesday and am still thinking about them.) Enjoy! MY REVIEW: Went out to get donuts at business next door to them and saw them. Looked at menu posted on the window and decided to get lunch too and give them a try. WHAT A FIND!! Had the Sunday buffet to go. Everything looked good, but looks can deceive. They didn't! What great food! Loved the roast and mashed potatos, and their banana pudding is spot on! I tried a little of everything and loved those too, but that roast reminded me of home! Thinking about making this my Sunday place for food. Service was great from the time I walked in the door to the time I left. Everyone is very friendly and professional. They made me feel welcomed, even though I was getting food to go. Only weakness...I didn't know about them sooner! This is GREAT home cooked food without ME having to cook it. Can't wait to try all the other days menus!

MY REVIEW: Went there for a late lunch, plenty of tables with no wait. Sharon, the owner was a wonderful hostess explaining the dishes and the weekly menu. The food was like a Sunday dinner at grandmas, a good solid meal seasoned just right. This place serves great southern cooking the way I like it. We cannot wait to try Saturday breakfast buffet.

MY REVIEW: I am not able to visit as often because we moved last year March 2008. The gumbo on Friday's is good. And the Sunday dinner is very tasty. The manager of the restaurant knows my whole family. And besides my son use to work there. I would definitely reccommend to try and you might like it!

MY REVIEW: Great family style food is prepared and presented in a very nice atmosphere. Hamburger, pasta and meatballs, pork chops are my favorites. Desserts are just as great. Banana pudding, peach cobbler and/or oatmeal cookies will put a smile on your face. Everything I try is really good and everyone is friendly.

MY REVIEW: I would highly recommended this restaurant to anyone looking for excellent quality food at a reasonable price. This is a relaxed, peaceful and very clean restarant. And the service is always wonderful. You will want to go back again and again. I go here 2-3 times a week. My favorite days are Tuesday (Pork Chops) and Fridays (Catfish). But I must say that everything on the menu is absolutely delicious!

I rate this restaurant as a 10 out of 10.

MY REVIEW: This soul food place is absolutely marvelous, the food is always fresh and delicious. I could eat there everyday it is so good. The workers and cooks are very friendly and the owners make you feel at home. The service is also great. Thumbs up to this wonderful establishment. May you cook many, many, many more meals for the communnity.
