MY REVIEW: very disappointed.we went tonight and we felt harassed by the employees who the only thing that care is going home.they didnt have oysters ,so I told them I wasnt going to pay full price.after that they were back and get 18 oysters.
this is not all you can eat.it should be better called all we let you eat.

MY REVIEW: WEAK POINTS: Gen.Tso chicken was rubbery, green beans had a oyster sauce on them that tasted old, cantaloupes were tasteless and not ripe. There were many particles of food on the floor that had been stepped on allot and not cleaned up. Even the chocolate pudding had no taste of chocolate.
STRONG POINT: Inside looked very good.
When I pointed out the above all the woman said was "Have a nice day."
I will not be back.

MY REVIEW: Everything taste gr8. I especially love the fried fish. Its so tender and juicy! The beef ribs and mussels and clam tastes fab. Their seafood is very fresh and the enviroment is very clean.
This is a child and toddler friendly plc. The manager handles everything nicely and all the waiters and service ppl try their best to get to know their frequent customers. The waiters know me so well they know what I want to drink, my favorite dish, and mine and my family member's names.

MY REVIEW: Sushi, regular Chinese food, American Food, Desserts, and Soups - this place has it all. Great service, great food - usually packed during regular dinner hours.
This is my "go-to" place to bring out-of-town friends to eat and sample the food. Something there for everyone's taste.
Upscale decorating, compared to other buffets. It's a buffet, not a high-style restaurant, though. The food is the draw.

MY REVIEW: Visiting Katy from the Philadelphia, PA area we found this restaurant to have excellent value and good food. The un;limited Gulf Oysters alone were worth the cost of the meal. The sushi and sashmie were fresh and there was an excellent variety. Our grandchildren (ages 4 and 7) had several choices that met their needs. Access to I-10 makes it an excellent choise of where to eat.

MY REVIEW: My wife and myself, have ate at this location many times before. The food is always good and fresh. The Ice cream needs to be a creamer style,as it taste like frozen milk with water. The staff are eager to help you but they are also eager to collect your money. As for having a group party at this restaurant.Don't do it!
We had a retirement party for my aunt (regular tables as the party room was occupied), party of 20 people. After 1 hr and 20 minutes, the cashier came to our table and told us, that those people that are done eating can wait outside. I know that this restaurant can get busy at times but kicking us out like that is rude and besides we were only been there for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

MY REVIEW: I love this buffet. I'm on skeptic when it comes to trying new buffets, because let be honest, they are usually gross! Not the case at E-star. I have loved it everytime. So much variety, its fresh, and the quality of the food is bomb. Fresh isi the key word! I love it love it.

MY REVIEW: I have to say this restaurant has very good food. Unlike others buffet restaurant, their food always stay fresh.
The only issue that make me stop going there is the way they charge a 2 years old. While others restaurant mainly let kid under 3 eat free or a reasonable charge of $2.99, E-Sta has started to charge your 2 years old for $5.00 while your kid only care about french fries and ice cream.
It's a good way for the owner to bring up the bill but bad for family with kids.

MY REVIEW: I'd been here before, and as with most Chinese buffets, it is somewhat Americanized. (Unless you go to the Bellaire district). A friend wanted to go, so we went after a game (yup, he is a referee too...).
Imagine my surprise at the EXCELLENT SUSHI AND SASHIMI. WOW! Three kinds of sashimi (snapper, tuna, and red fish). Plus, the sushi was fresh, and the hand rolls (the "ice cream cone" kind) were fresh and excellent. For this price? This is and excellent value, AND the food was good. Another pleasant surprise was the seaweed salad. Again, wow!
Enough other things to pick through, and basically anyone would find enough here to satisfy themselves. Even vegetarians. Good stuff

MY REVIEW: ALL GOOD. THIS IS AMONG THE BEST WRT CHINESE BUFFET it is not really buffet food - mre rather like menu dish quality and flavor. The restaurant is generally busy, hence the fast turnover = fresh hot food. I have NEVER seen stale, dry food.
If you enjoy sushi - the array is fresh and adequate, surely not 1st class Japanese sushi in variety/assortment yet fine enough. Note that a proper sushi house could run into $20-30 per person anywhere in Houston. Here the max is $12.
The staff is just friendly enough - all business and traditionally humble. Very clean, well maintained and adherent to health dept. standards. Cleanly serviced restrooms.
The complaint about the deserts - please understand that Chinese culture is not all about gorging on processed, sugary, fattening junk. Look at the average Chinese - slim. I do not eat Chinese for the deserts. Do know that there is an assortment of banana, mandarin tangerine, honeydew, cantaloupe, grapes and of course the sweets that are garnering the complaints.
Also - complaints about constricted pathways??? Totally untrue and absurd.
The restaurant is very well managed - oh and the will teach you Mandarin and Cantonese - give it a try!

MY REVIEW: We just celebrated my husband's birthday there and many of our children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren were with us. They made room for us and everyone had something they liked. They even accommodated one with special dietary needs.

MY REVIEW: I had lunch today at E*Star for the first and final time. The food was fairly good: their salmon, chicken fingers and clams were actually quite tasty.
My biggest complaint is directed towards the extremely cramped quarters. The walkway between the side-by-side serving tables is about three feet wide. There was two-way traffic attempting to navigate through this three foot wide catwalk.
After enduring the serving table traffic jam, you take your plate to your dining table and discover that most of the neighboring dining tables and chairs are only about two feet apart from each other.
I am not claustrophobic, but please give me a break E*Star. The serving tables were so close together there was no way to avoid physically bumping into fellow diners. I had to walk sideways to navigate between the dining tables. Today’s lunch was nearly a full-body-contact experience.
If you wish to discover what it is like dining inside a sardine can, E*Star is the place for you. But I will not be returning.

MY REVIEW: I live on Jones road a minute away from this place!
I'm a very picky asian food eater, since I don't eat out much (usually cook my own food for my husband, 3 year old daughter, and myself- as a nursing student I want to be healthy so I cook healthy for all of us), so when I splurge, I have to find something I REALLY like that I trust to go back to. This place is clean with a more modern look than usual resturants of this nature. It's got plenty of room, restrooms very clean, wait-staff are kind and friendly.
The buffet is big and varied with shushi of all kinds (even though I'm not into that), fried rice, steamed white rice, lo mein, meats like peanut chicken, mongolian beef, all the classics, even bar-b-que pork and pizza (the classic soups you expect too)!...my husband loves the ice cream. Since I've been there recently they DO have crab puffs, LOTs of fresh fruit, salad, and varied desserts. There are even oysters (I tried), mussels, last time I saw crawfish!
LOVE this place! (2-3 times within the last year)

MY REVIEW: Love this place, there sushi (which I'm very picky about) is always fresh and tastes amazing. Service is great, never have to wait for a drink re-fill (only other place I've never had to wait for a drink re-fill was a restaurant in Atlanta that cost over $2500 for 3). Their selection is very vast and everything is fresh and delicious. Estar is always clean and everyone always has a smile on their face. I only wish they had food as good as this in MRE's!
