MY REVIEW: It was okay Sushi for the price. 3 and under free was very nice and the wait staff loved our kids. It was comfortable setting and had different food for everyone. I was happy and will most likely go back.

MY REVIEW: My family and I love this restaurant. To me it's not like your typical buffet restaurant. I took my mother there one day for lunch and since then, she's gone several times, and has taken new people with her each time. The restaurant is really clean and very well designed. I love the decor. However, I think as much as we love the restaurant, I have a toddler (3 years old)and we were charged $4.86 for him to eat. He's very small and doesn't eat more than a bird almost and, I kind of feel that children that young should not be charged especially for a buffet meal. I really love their ice cream, it kind of taste like M*cDonald's and their strawberries are fairly good. The staff is really kind and even their restrooms are SPIC-AND-SPAN, you could eat in them there so clean. Overall my rating for this place is a *****.

MY REVIEW: Really good Chinese/Japanese food. The buffet is large, frequently refreshed, and tasty. The sushi is very good. They even have french fries and pizza for the kids. My wife is Asian (but not Chinese) - she goes there to get great food! It is back a way from the access road (down from S*pec's), so you might miss it the first time. All-in-all, good food at good price.

MY REVIEW: Hi. I LOVE this place. I live near by and am a stay at home mommy. A friend that woks near by and myself lunch here at least 3 times a week. I would go more but she likes variety more than I do. I have brought my husband for dinner a few times and he loves it as well. They have everything you could want (except crab puffs) and more. My 2&1/2yr old loves the pizza and so do I. They have at least 6 California roll variations. I always over eat when I come. I get a plate from the sushi bar and a plate from the regular buffet. You would think I would fat by now! I am actually craving it so much now that I want to go for dinner! I think the reason I havent gotten burned out is because of the huge selection they offer. The staff is awesome and the decor superb. It doesn't have dragons all over and cheesey chandeliers! LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!

MY REVIEW: If you like sushi then this is the place to go. They have a wide variety and they are very fresh. Other than that I don't think the selection is any big deal. They food are very salty to me. They don't have much selection for dessert. K*ing Plalace on 249 is much better.

MY REVIEW: Wide variety of Asian / Chinese dishes and extensive selection of creative sushi. Steam tables are replenished throughout the day -- even late in the afternoon when I stopped in. How many other Chinese buffets served shrimp or seafood dishes?? No more driving to League City!!

MY REVIEW: Resturant was clean, staff friendly. Food was good; however, too much red sauce used on ribs. Sushi, good selection.

MY REVIEW: This place has been open for about a year as of this post. So far, he food has been above average compared to other mid-class chinese buffets. Decent sushi bar (Selection) for the price, but not the best sushi. You might want to check this place out while the eat'n is good!

MY REVIEW: LOVED IT! The restaurant is at 290 & Jones, not as close to the beltway as our map put it. The restaurant is very clean and attractive. Creative décor, marble buffets, etc. It was fairly busy for a weeknight (maybe half full?), but the service was excellent! As soon as you moved your plate to the side, it was removed. Refills were offered when the glass was half empty, and the glasses were huge, so no worries there. We’re water drinkers, and the water was good, if you care about such things. CNN was on the big flat screen. Families, teens, and couples all seemed to like it. $9.95 was the cost per person, I believe, and it was worth every penny!

Like someone else mentioned, the dessert bar is lacking, but if you have room for sugar when you’re done, I’m impressed. (The fruit was very good, or the fried sugar rolls and ice-cream are also available if you really have to satisfy a sweet tooth.) There was plenty of variety - even taking small portions, I didn’t get to everything. They actually had salmon, and it was made with spices I hadn’t had before, not dried out, and very good! Other stand-outs to me: peanut chicken, general tso chicken (not too spicy, but I like to be able to taste other things later), fried wings, mushrooms in onion sauce, string beans, and many more. My husband was very impressed with the mussels, saying they aren’t good at most buffets. He shocked me by saying that “everything is good” - he is normally very critical of buffets, so I felt very justified in loving it myself after that!

There are a number of foods for children and other non-adventurous eaters: the sausage, seasoned fries, garlic bread, fried fish, and chicken strips were good, and I also noticed pizza, of all things. The only things I tried that were not to my liking were the ribs (the sweet sauce overpowered the meat), and the pork egg rolls (just not exceptional). I did sample some sushi, but I’m really no expert. (I liked one with avocado in it, and another had a spicy kick, but that’s really all I can tell you.) There were at least a couple dozen very attractive choices for those who like sushi.

We don’t eat out much, but this will definitely be a place we revisit and recommend!

MY REVIEW: This is a very nice buffet. The food is good, though the desserts need tweaking. The decor makes you feel like you're eating in a very classy and contemporary establishment, and the service is usually very good. I have been in there once when they were very busy, and the service was lacking, but have not had the experience since. If you're looking for something different than the norm, this is the place to go.

MY REVIEW: strong points: both the restaurant and bathrooms are VERY nice and extremely CLEAN!!, decor had a slight pleasant effect, nice flat screen tv displayed high for those lone eaters [thank god it wasn't set on soaps.. but on major newstations ex. CNBC, MSNBC, etc.], lots of meat selections were suprisingly tasty[LOVED that peppered chicken], small salad bowls already set up to pour desired amounts of dressing, very alert servers [another cup of soda is offered when your current drink is at 25% capacity], i must agree the fried fish is a bit tasty [i don't normally care for fish], the calamari is pretty good! a bit oily.. but very good! as well as the mussels with a thick brown sauce =9

weak points: although some foods are oily, which is expected at many asian buffets, their selections are done with a bit less oily than the norm, wish there were a bit better choices for desserts, although the fruits were very satisfying, even though the sushi looked a bit tasty, but at the presentation of the section, i felt that maybe it should have been placed in a bit of a lightly fridgerated area, since we're dealing with RAW sushi.. i was just a bit weary of it..

overall a VERY happy experience, you can bet i'll be going there again VERY soon.. and again.. and again... and again.. and again.......... =]

MY REVIEW: All the food is reccomened. Nothing is bad. A place for the family. When you go into a chinese buffet you think it might be a little trashy. This place is the opposite. The first chineese buffet with a waiting list. The general tso's is great. Cost is only $7 for each person. buffet includes sushi bar with no extra cost. Ive done the carry out well over 15 times. I would even reccomend reserving the back room for a wedding dinner. Its that good.

the ambiance is amazing. Fresh wood walls, granite counter tops. Sleek stainless steel accents. The restrooms are even worth eating in, thats how clean and nice everything is. Plasma screen tv's showing the news incase your alone and need to be occupied while you eat. Great service and staff. No complaints.

MY REVIEW: Great food. Great prices. Fairly good selection. I don't care much for sushi, but Sushi fans will LOVE it! Hopefully they can expand the dining area in the future as the crowds tend to be large. I recommend this place to any chinese food lover.

MY REVIEW: I LOVE this place. Their food is the best in town. I loved the atmosphere the friendly staff and the prices. A buffet INCLUDING sushi is around $9,and the selection is huge. They make the BEST fried fish and tao chicken. And even carry out buffet is at a good price about $3.99 a pound and you can fill up as much as you so please. The restaurant is exceptionally clean and nice as far as tables and chairs and whatnot. I would eat here at least ONCE a week if I could afford it. It has become my FAVORITE Chinese spot in ALL of Houston. I'll always frequent the E-Star and would recommend everyone else to go as well.
