MY REVIEW: Met a friend of mine here for happy hour one weekday evening. We were the first ones there at 5:30. We were also the ONLY ones there for the next 3 hours! I think the problem is the location (corner of a rather dowdy looking strip center), and the very dated decor. Even though the place was rather desolate, we decided to stay and drink some wine and try the food. I must say, the best thing this place has going for it is its food. Chef Baffoni (formerly from S*imposio) knows his stuff! The wine menu was also eclectic with some very reasonable prices. the owner treated us to a dessert on the house, which was gracious. The food is expensive considering the lack of atmosphere, but it is exquisite. I hope the place advertises and continues to draw people in.
Strong Points = Food, wine menu, hospitality Weak Points = Decor, location

MY REVIEW: Took customers (8)for lunch and we had the place to ourselves. Although I had read good reviews on b4, I was a little apprehensive to say the least. Then, one of the owners had to wait on us because the wait staff was home sick. After another dirty look from my boss, luckily, the food started to appear. Everyone at the table loved their food, and the lunch was a big success! I hope their lunch business picks up, because the food here is fantastic!

MY REVIEW: Beautiful restaurant and wonderful food. Great recorded music and we could have a conversation without yelling. The chef and the owner were very friendly and eager to please.
We need more nice places like this to dine in our area. I hope Lakeside folks give them a try. It is a bit high priced but I think you will be pleased with it.

MY REVIEW: Bohemia Restaurant, located on Westheimer just west of the Beltway is a new, but very enjoyable upscale restaurant - something the Westchase/ Memorial area is sorely lacking. I will definitely return - the main reason THE FOOD!!!
On my last visit, I ordered the osso buco - a veal and saffron dish. I was told this is the chef's signature dish, and it was indeed amazing. The executive chef, Alberto, comes to tables and greets costumers, making sure the meal meets their expectations. Coupled with friendly service and A+ cuisine, my experience was enjoyable, and I defiantly will return. The restaurant also features a large wine selection, all reasonably priced.
Bohemia is a great place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, or just grab an elegant meal with friends. The weekends are a bit more hectic, with more bar business and live music and dancing. The owner also doubles as the entertainment - she has a wonderful voice and livens up the restaurant into the late hours.
Just before we left on a Saturday, a belly dancer preformed a 20 minute show. It was creative and very entertaining, better than other dancing shows I have seen around town.
If you live in West Houston and do not feel like driving into town for a European - influenced, well refined meal.

MY REVIEW: Very happy to find a restaurant of this quality on the west side of town. The osso bucco and the seafood soup were as good as any upscale restaurant in Houston. The owner/chefs came out to greet everyone in the restaurant. The menu is quite varied with Russian and European influences. Some of the waitstaff are a little green but very friendly and accomodating. There was live entertainment later in the evening with the owner singing. She has an amazing voice. I plan on returning soon to try other menu items that sounded interesting.

MY REVIEW: New restaurant, but bound to be a big success. Executive Chef is Alberto Baffoni - He used to own S*imposio, but left a year or two ago. Alberto will come to your table and greet you personally. He offered to specialize any dish we wanted, which was a great touch.
Menu is great. Seafood is a must (muscles were excellent and the fish is very well seasoned, very fresh and well prepared). If you like veal, there are number of delectable European style veal dishes. The tenderloin also looked very appetizing.
Good wine selection, all reasonably priced. There is a full bar as well, but we did not order anything from it.
Nice decor, very elegant but not over the top like some places. But the view does remind you that you're in a strip mall.

MY REVIEW: Great Menu has strong diversity. Food was seasoned well has flavor but accents brings out the flavor of the dish. Try their dessert you will not find it anywhere else in Houston. Reminds me of dining in Europe
