MY REVIEW: This is the first Indian restaurant I ever tried almost 6 months ago, since it right down the street from my work. The lady working as the hostess/waitress was extremely helpful in explaining and recommending dishes to try. It was so delicious, I have tried close to 15 other Indian restaurants in town to see which is the best. The clear winner is India-Grill.
I absolutely love the lunch buffet, I go at least once a week. I have only been once for dinner and it was extremely good, but I prefer the buffet at lunch because I get to try everything. And you want to try everything because it is ALL good. This place is never that busy though, but has a pretty consistent flow of customers and it seems word is spreading because it's never completely empty like some times in the past.
I highly recommend India-Grill, the family that owns it are very nice and helpful. Easily my favorite Indian restaurant in Houston.

MY REVIEW: This was my first visit to India Grill and my family was the only group of customers there, but we shouldn't have been. The food and service were amazing and I highly recommend the restaurant to everyone. My brother and sister-in-law go there at least once a week. They deliver too!!

MY REVIEW: Very nice people and very good service. We have been eating at a different Indian restaurant on 249 about twice a week and we will not be going back to them. India Grill has all our favorites and it was the best we've had. We tried the Lamb Saag, Chicken Vindaloo, Lamb Skeek Kabob, Garlic Naan and Mango Lassi. These were awesome. The price was good and the service was so much better than I have had before. We are not Indian but love Indian food and will definitely be back.

MY REVIEW: This India Grill Resaurant is the best Indian Restaurant that I have ever been to. It is small and comfortable. The food is excellent and the hostess, "Pinky" is very sweet and helpful. My husband is from India and is very particular when it comes to Indian restaurant food, and he was thouroughly pleased with the selection and taste. Everything was very fresh including the naan, which they bring to your table so fresh and hot. We will definitly return often. You can't beat it!!! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an enjoyable dining experience in Houston Texas!!!

MY REVIEW: I recently went to their lunch buffet, and Wow was it good! Hot fresh naan, great food, a wonderful experience! The hostess was very nice, drink refills came promptly and she would carry around the naan fresh out of the kitchen to make sure everyone had a piece. The curries were wonderful, perfectly spiced. The rice pudding was amazingly good also.
The price was quite reasonable for a non-vegetarian buffet, and I will definately return!

MY REVIEW: I went there for the first time due to a coupon in the mail. It was surely worth it. The lady that seated us was very, very helpful in explaining the dishes and the best way to eat them. The chicken tikka, onion pokora, nan bread and sauces were delicious. She mentioned a lunch buffet, so I will go back to try that again soon. I enjoyed it.

MY REVIEW: One of the best Indian restaurants that I have been to. The service is great and the food is awesome. The Naan is the best that I have ever had. They are soft and hot. We had been to dinner and it was one of the friend's bday and they helped us set up the cake and made it a great evening. Been to lunch a couple of times and its just been tasty always. The BEST part is EVERYTHING on the buffet is tasty. Will surely be going here often and would be doing more of take-outs from here as well. The Hostess is surely the best that we have come across and she treats us like family and the food..I have said it all.

MY REVIEW: Finally, a good local curry house near my home!! Everything we've had from India Grill has been excellent - Chicken Tikka Masala, Rogan Josh, Butter Chicken, aloo chaat, the okra is to DIE for, the naans are very good (although I'd like a bit more stuffing in my Peshwari naan, but at least they HAVE Peshwari naan)... We've gotten take out from them four times now and it's been wonderful every time. Give them a try, let's support this good restaurant in our community!

MY REVIEW: I've eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants in Houston, and this one easily ranks in the top 5. The ambiance is "nice dinner," with cloth table covers and napkins and floral centerpieces, and the soundtrack is (my best guess) Indian contemporary vocal music. For a small facility, their menu is extensive and impressive, including over 20 vegetarian entrees and a dozen different types of bread. The red (tamarind-based?) sauce served with the complimentary pappadums was notable; normally I make one token taste of pappadum sauces and then eat them plain, but this one had me going back for more.
My date had Navratan Korma (vegetables in spicy sauce) with naan, and I had Kadai Chicken (boneless chicken, tomato & onion in tomato-based sauce) with paneer kulcha (naan with cheese & herb filling). Entrees are served with Indian-style basmati rice; we stuffed ourselves and there was plenty enough to have leftovers to bring home. One caveat -- my chicken entree was described as "in mild sauce", but proved to have a healthy addition of chopped jalapeno peppers; the sauce may have been mild, but the dish overall packed quite a kick! People who don't like heat may want to ask some questions.
One of the true tests of an Indian restaurant is their kheer (rice pudding), and this one passes with flying colors -- tender morsels of rice in a sweet milk sauce, accented with slivered almonds and golden raisins but without the ground-pistachio topping that some restaurants use.
Total for a sumptuous dinner for two, including an extra order of rice to bring home for the leftovers, less than $40. This place is definitely on the "bring visiting friends" list; I predict that they will outgrow their present quarters within a year.

MY REVIEW: I cannot vouch for consistancy as this was our only visit. We had the lunch buffet ($7.99) They offered 4 meat dishes and many vegetables. The sagg paneer (sp) was excellent. It was very, very, close to what was served at the T*aj Mahal. The tandori chicken was excellent, even the white meat was moist and tender even though it was fully cooked. The pakoras (3 types) were the best ever. The curries were good but I have eaten better (my personal opinion). The other chicken dish (in a spicy red sauce) was very good. The nann was very good and served hot. The style of dall served was the best I ever ate.
Now the best part. There were 2 deserts. I only had the fruit dish in what I can best describe as chopped up fruit in a melted mango custard blended with somethin akin to melted Blue Bell Homemade Vinilla ice cream. (I have no idea weather it was a custard or had ice cream as an ingredient) I think this was the most wonderful dish I have ever eaten. The service was excellent. We will be back.
