MY REVIEW: Besides the great food, what I like about Antonia's is the way they treat you from the wait staff to the management. More than the food itself, I come here because of the atmosphere.

MY REVIEW: A correction/update: the owners did offer to comp our meal and my wife's $500 tan Coach purse ruined by our waitress spilling a glass of red wine all over my wife during our last visit. We declined the offer as this would likely put an enormous financial pressure on the waitress. Accidents happen, the floor is very slippery when it gets wet.

MY REVIEW: Please don't: lower your prices and add a kid's menu...I believe both were intentional. Our waitress spilled a glass of red wine all over my wife's shirt and expensive purse and they were very gracious about it although they did not comp our meal. The food is excellent. One of our favorites...

MY REVIEW: This restaurant is amazing! I have been a frequent guest since Antonia's opened their doors. Rafael and Chef Roberto are down to Earth, caring in every aspect to service and food quality, and have fantastic food! I am one of the lucky guests who gets a phone call when Chilean Sea Bass is being served. Chef Roberto does an outstanding job with every dish. The ambiance is great for those get-away dinners with my hubby. The wine selection is phenomenal. My husband does not drink but will enjoy a great glass of Venetian wine with me at Antonia's. The only drawback is space. Call me selfish but I hope the pizza place next door moves out so they can expand Antonia's. My daughter (age 22) and son (age 13) are addicted to this place and it's food. We like to have a special day out for lunch and enjoy everything from appetizers to dessert. It's wonderful that Rafael remembers my son loves Chef Roberto's steak which is always made to perfection. My grandson loves the fact that they actually make his little chicken tenders 'just for him' and from scratch even though it is not listed on the menu. I am so looking forward to the Anniversary Dinner on the 19th of May and look forward to many more! Whenever we have special guests or business dinners we take them to Antonia's.

MY REVIEW: A phenomenal restaurant that can handle multiple orders to go at lunch and intimate dinners in the evening. The staff even remembered our name! Excellent food, service that is well on the way to being superb. The last time we were there the waiter served the wine to our specifications without missing a step. The food was outstanding! This restaurant serves kids with normal sized plates or appetizer plates and we had no problems whatsoever taking our 11 and 12 year old kids with us for a nice dinner. They loved the food! If it was too mcuh, we took it home and enjoyed it the next day! We will be back! This restaurant can easily compete with those other restaurants mentioned above. It will surprise you.

MY REVIEW: I have been to several Italian restaurants, but this one is the best! My kids loved it so much that we went twice in the same week. The staff was very friendly and corteous. People that have problem with the prices, shouldn't be going to places like this one. What is important is to enjoy a good meal, not how much you pay for it! and if you love dessert; the bread pudding is out of this wordl!

MY REVIEW: First visit to Antonia's. Nice atmosphere, something Katy can use. As mentioned in other reviews they are new and the staff seems overwhelmed. We had to request the parmesan both for our salad and meal, which they promptly brought out and grated fresh for us. We were very disappointed in the bread dip - eggplant and veggie, not the usual tasty herbs, garlic & parmesan. This dip is basically non-descript - no taste; the bread is good enough to eat alone without the dip. The chicken picatta was okay but I wish they wouldn't pound the chicken breast so thin - leave it in it's original state. It was tough and hard to cut even with a knife; the sauce was flavorful. The Caesar salad was lacking in flavor, which is why I wanted the parmesan, that helped a bit. Their Dulce Nero chocolate moussecake was delicious. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but I wasn't impressed with my entree or the dinner price. I wish them well and many seem to really like the food but I probably wouldn't choose it in the future.

MY REVIEW: EXCELLANT FOOD! Large portions. Best Italian food in Katy........great place for intimate meal after 8PM (Kids are in bed)

I think they need some small candles for ambience. A GREAT WELCOME TO KATY!

MY REVIEW: Excellent true Italian style food. Proper sized portions. The owners and waiters are very courteous. They will do very well in Katy because most of the other restaurants are run of mill chains. Anybody who knows good food and atmosphere will enjoy this restaurant. Glad there is no childrens menu, will discourage people from bringing noisy kids.

MY REVIEW: The lady who complained about the prices then suggested that one should go to C*armelos on memorial is way off base. First of all she is not supposed to mention other restaurants regardless, I found C*armelos very high. I don't think that this person is used to fine dining. I don't consider a chain type restaurant like H*asta whatever even compares to this one. There are staffing problems and tea refilling problems...so what..ask for it and you will get it. Small problems compared to the fine food that they serve.

I am hardpressed to find "childs plates" in Italy. If you can't afford it leave the little brats at home and let us adults have a nice restaurant without them. I have dined at all the restaurants this "critic" has mentioned and then I have dined all over Italy, France, Germany..I could go on and on until I bore your socks off..bottom line I have never seen a childs menu. Go figure. There are bugs..not real ones..just flaws in the service...so what? What these people offer is genuine good food and it is so obvious that they are trying very hard to please and do a quality service.

I have only been there three times and have not been disappointed. You won't some more endless tea..well go to Europe and see if you get unlimited refills and get a childs plate. Better yet if you want more water or tea simply signal any waiter and you will get it..I can't wait to go back. I wish these people all the success in the world. As for them making it..well the place seems full everytime that I go!

MY REVIEW: My wife and I have eaten here quite a bit since they opened. In that time I have come to the conclusion that you cannot order anything bad here. Everything is excellent and we have been through the entire menu, so I'm speaking from true experience. The portion sizes are not as big as your typical Texas fare, and that is a refreshing and wonderful thing, considering Americas's bulging waistline.

It is true that Antonia's doesn't have a child menu. This restaurant is more of an adult dinig experience, but I have seen children (well-behaved as a rule) a few times. Keep in mind that the food leans more toward traditional Italian so that there are no menu items like spaghetti and meatballs here.

I think that Rafael and Roberto have brought a real breath a fresh air to the Katy, Houston, and Texas dining experience. This is, without a doubt, the best restaurant I have ever been to. Please go and see them tonight. Oh yes, the iced tea glasses are larger now and the server staff kinks are on the way to being completely ironed out.

MY REVIEW: We were drawn to try Antonia's upon learning they were from Boston's North End, one of our favorite venues reknowned for their Italian cuisine. This evening we enjoyed delicious pasta dishes (Vodka and Portofino) in portions that were just the right size. We really, really loved the food. I hope they get their waitstaff to work more efficiently because service was abominable. We will definately eat at Antonia's again because of the food but I implore the owners to please work on the service. We want Antonia's to be around for a long time.

MY REVIEW: This restaurant is wonderful for a date night or something to just treat yourself. Although the food is expensive, it is delicious. I figure it is pricey due to the location of the place, as it is also a new establishment. The wine list is extensive and the owner is never too busy to come and converse with you about anything you might wish. I have had the chicken fettucine and I love it! They serve you a salad and AUTHENTIC garlic bread with the olive oil, parmesan, and tomato paste dip that is included in your meal. My only true complaint is the size of the glasses... they are way too small and you do have to request a refill when you need more. The staff is fairly new to waiting, I presume, so I give them a break when it comes to being attentive to my drink level. But with some time they will pick up these things that customers appreciate.

The atmosphere is elegant but you can go in shorts and t-shirt. I recommend this to anyone that needs a date night. But please, don't bring your kids and allow them to run a muck or scream shrilly while others are trying to relax and enjoy their meal that they paid dearly for... if you want to allow your children freedom, C*hucky Cheese is right down the road.

MY REVIEW: This is such a breath of fresh air!!No nasty, stodgy, boring Italian food here.Great wine list, wonderful and interesting menu, nice atmoshere and good service. The Ciopinno is fantastic. Great for date night or an evening out to dinner with friends, very nice for a casual lunch or a business lunch. If you do bring children they are welcomed. We are so pleased to have the brothers from Boston's Little Italy here in Katy - here's to fine dinning on our doorstep!

MY REVIEW: My hubby and I tried this restaurant last night. I compared it to my favorite, H*asta La Pasta and let's just say - don't waste your time going to this restaurant.

It's way too expensive (average price $15 per dish!). Plus tiny portions for the price you pay. ALso, they have no kids menu at all. I don't know how they will survive in a family town with no kids menu. You can, however, order a kid's portion off the adult menu and pay half the price.

Also they have no regular Italian items on their menu - like lasagna or spaghetti. Everything is very fancily named.

In addition to their drink glasses being way too small, they are horrible at re-filling tea! They weren't busy at all when we were there, and we saw many staff people standing around, yet we had empty tea glasses. Every time we got a refill, we had to actually ask for it first. To me, that is a huge pet peeve!

For the price, I would totally recommend H*asta La Pasta, or even C*armelo's on Memorial.

This place could draw more customers in a family town like Katy if they will lower their prices and add a kid's menu.

MY REVIEW: A cute place with good quality Italian food. The staff is young and a little green but prompt, friendly and earnest. They opened with just the dinner menu but quickly added a simple lunch menu.

We had the Egplant Parmisan and a Chicken & Broccoli pasta dish that were both very well done. The crab stuffed mushrooms were great. The lunch entrees came with a very nice field green salad and we were pleased with the bread accompanied by pesto, parmisan and oil.

Lots of nice little touches in an adult setting. We will definitely be back.

Lunch ~$12 Dinner ~$20
