MY REVIEW: The food was really good, as was the service. We had crawfish and an appetizer of cajun clams that were delicious!
The crawfish were really nice and spicy, but the beer was kind of pricy for plain old miller lite.
Will go back, maybe at happy hour to get better prices on the drinks.

MY REVIEW: We didn't make it past the first 5' inside the door. A beautiful Sunday at 11:45 we walked in and asked to be seated outside. We were told that there was no service outside until 12, "but, here are some menus, you can serve yourself from the bar" and the gentlemen walked away.
This was early in the day, so there were numerous waitstaff floating around, none too busy. I feel that if I have to convince someone to allow me to patronize their business I probably won't be appreciated or well served. Dissappointing. Fortunately there are other restaurants within walking distance of Floyd's.

MY REVIEW: My experience was so BAD I felt compelled to write this review the same day. We were having a going away thing lunch. Called up in the morning to ask if we could reserve a table because we had a big party (12). The host told us to just come on in, it wouldn't be crowded during lunch. We got there pretty early, 1125, and found the place was packed.
We talked with the manager, told him the situation with the phone call, he said he'd try to do something. We got seated at a table so small that three in our party would have to eat in their laps, they were basically seated in an aisle. They declined to order until an extra table besides could be cleared to accomodate. By this time, it was already 45 minutes into the lunch hour. An extra table wasn't cleared until fifteen minutes later. Food didn't arrive until fifteen minutes after that, some of it already cold (soggy fries, blech).
One person in our group was so miffed that he decided to walk to the subway nearby to get his lunch and by the time he got back we were finally getting out food. By checkout time we were already thirty minutes over the lunch hour. The waiter, not asking whether we'd like the check on the same or different ticket just crammed everything on one even though it was lunch-time and we all looked like we came from work. The waiter gave us a pen and told us to write our names next to what we'd had even though the ticket collapsed multiple orders into one line and there wasn't any room. Nothing got sorted out, of course, for another half an hour. Total time for lunch 2:15. Gratuity given: 18% automatic.
I saw the manager walking around out front, seemed like he was trying to avoid our table. If this was Floyd or his son, then, well, I don't know what to say to somebody who could ignore 12 dissatisfied looking customers. Was the food worth it? Absolutely not. Hardly better than A*be's or S*artine's. Maybe worse, and defintely more expensive. Nobody in our group will be going back, even those who have been there before.

MY REVIEW: We are frequent Flyers at Floyds and have rarely been disappointed. The crawfish busque kept me alive after oral surgery (the only thing I could eat that tasted good). Manuel always shucks the freshest oysters and the staff attentive! We have been going since Floyd re-opened at this location and will continue to, provided we don't fall off our barstools. Sometime we even bring the kids and sit in the dining area...

MY REVIEW: I love this restaurant! My first visit was probably 5 - 7 years ago; and I've been back at least 2 dozen times. I haven't lived in Houston in many years and cried when my m-i-l moved from south Houston. But, if I'm in a 50-mile radius of Webster, I go! I eat there first and order more Seafood Court Bouillon to go. It could be my last meal and I'd die happy. My dining companions usually order other dishes, (I've seen grilled seafood, seafood platters, fried catfish -Oh! that was good! Thank you, son, for sharing! - gumbo, shrimp creole, etouffee, etc on our table), but the court bouillon was the first dish I ordered on my first visit and I'm not over my love affair with it yet! I've eaten there by myself and with groups of 4 - 6 and we're always pleased. I don't recall service being slow or unhelpful, but then, when I'm eating there, I'm not aware of much except that plate of pure bliss. Okay, it's midnight here in DFW... thank goodness I have some court bouillon in the freezer to get me through the night.......

MY REVIEW: Back again (this time grandaughters in tow). Floyd's continues to impress. All 3 grandkids are 12 and under so we ordered 2 crawfish bites and a chicken strip meal @ $3.99 Big enough servings to satisfy most adult appetites. In fact I heard some adults have caught on and try to order from child's menu, but staff does not allow. Can't blame them. Kids were starving so I ordered 3 appetisers: fried pickles, boudain balls, onion rings. Man, these are good! So much food that we all spoiled our appetites and no one finished their meal.

MY REVIEW: Tried Floyd's for first time, had coupon. Will return even without any coupon and try some other menu items. Wife had grilled flounder topped with lots of fresh lump crab meat accompanied with a ton of grilled potatoes and veggies. Excellent. I had fried seafood platter----a good buy @ $15.99; for .99 substitute tasty onion rings for fries. Two large pieces fried catfish, very good. Oysters and shrimp were ok, but could've been bigger. Tasty frog leg. And, contrary to earlier review, I actually thought the crab cake and stuffed shrimp were better than most places, could see and taste pieces of lump crab along with good breading/stuffing.
Waitress was pleasant, but crackers arrived after most of the raw oysters appetiser was consumed. Kitchen was slow, but place was crowded.
Looking forward to returning to try some of their cajun offerings such as etouffee and gumbo which looked good at tables around us.

MY REVIEW: Just had some of the best boiled crawfish there the other night. As usuall, our servicer was attentive. It's a nice place to take the family. Also enjoy going with just the wife and sitting at the horseshoe bar. We enjoy having Manuall schuck fresh oysters for us, drinking cold beer, and watching the Astros games.

MY REVIEW: After reading "SweetsLover's" diatribe, I had to check-up on the Two-Floyds @ IH-45 & NASA-1 for myself; so four of us went for early supper.
I found a mixed bag. The boiled crawfish were still pretty good even by Louisiana standards. Service was slow but friendly. Some items on the fried seafood platter could have been better. The iced tea was fine, as always. Prices very fair. A very big crowd was there, having a good time.
Verdict: Has been better but still the best Cajun-style place in Houston metro area. SweetsLover is just a complainer. Try it yourself !

MY REVIEW: We ate there on the recommendation of someone in Kemah who said this was the best place in the entire area for seafood. We were very disappointed. Service was outstanding. Ambiance was cajun, sports bar, fun. The gumbo had very few chunks of anything but actually it was the highlight of the food. I had the fried seafood platter for $15.99. Most entrees are $10.99 to $15.99. The oysters were soggy due to not frying them in hot enough grease. The catfish was fresh and good but I've had better many times and a dash of salt to the batter would have gone a long way. It was bland. All the items that used stuffing: stuffed shrimp, crab cake - tasted as if the crab was not fresh, and just didn't have any zing to it. Mostly it was a huge plate of french fries. We all agreed that although it wasn't a bad meal, and that we've had far worse (the other location for example) there was nothing memorable about it and we won't go back. We also felt very ripped off over the tea. We complained to each other throughout the meal regarding how awful the tea was: Was it the water? Was it instant? Was it just old? But didn't complain to our waitress because it was drinkable with enough sugar and lemon, and it wasn't spoiled. But then when we got the bill, they charged us $1.95 each for tea. Who charges $1.95 for iced tea? There are too many other places to go than to visit here again.

MY REVIEW: I frequent floyds every so often, and everytime i do the food is outstanding. The cook time for food is alittle long but this time it was rediculous. I ordered crawfish from our waitress who didn't seem to care how long it was taking. I wanted to to talk with a manager on duty and asked several times for him and he never showed up. Finally after paying for my bill i asked again for a manager and found a short portly man on his cell phone talking. I tried to get his attention but he brushed me off. What kind of establishment has managers on phones in the main dinning room brushing people off when they would like to speak to them. This is the last time i ever dine there. I was completely disgusted and i will be sure to tell everyone of my horrible expierence.

MY REVIEW: My Family just loved this place. The Crawfish is great, The fried shrimp is great and the atmosphere is great. If you like cajun food, then you will love this restaurant. Even if you have never tried it, give in a try, I promise, you'll be back time and time again. The wait staff is great as well, Hats off to the kitchen crew who work so hard to make the food just right. They also have catering, I HIGHLY suggest them for your catered event.
Floyd Landry and Bret Floyd worked so hard to get this place up and running, Hats off to a job well done.

MY REVIEW: Ca ici c'est le vrais chose! This is the real thing! Don't miss it. An oasis of real 'Cajun food in a desert of pretenders. Just like in Lafayette, Abbeville, and Thibodaux. Much better than most of N.O. imitations. Was born in Acadia; lived in Lafayette, BR, NO, and Thibodaux; so know the real stuff. Try the fried shrimp but ask for remoulade or tartar sauce rather than the red stuff.

MY REVIEW: Went here the other day for the first time and was very impressed! The food was excellent! There was a wide variety of cajun & seafood items. Everything we ordered was fresh and good. We ordered a dozen fresh oysters and fried calamari, fried shrimp & french fries, jambalaya, and a grilled seafood platter, and everything was excellent. MUCH better than Craw*daddy's in Kemah!
Service was decent.
My only complaint might be the atmosphere, or lack thereof. It's basically just a bunch of wooden chairs & tables - not much to look at.

MY REVIEW: Visited with my wife for our 5th Anniversary, since she's from La. and loves crawfish, well we went on a recommendation from Co-Workers and must admit we were well pleased, especially with the owner himself , the guy is just be yourself Sweet Ole Crazy Cajun Louisiana, come on in and take your shoes off and relax, we loved it and plan to take friends when we re-visit. The food was great as well , as for the wife I had to get 2 lbs of crawfish to go ! Great Louisiana food !

MY REVIEW: I had to put my review here because the whole experience was great. I first walked in and was approached by the Big Man Floyd, he was loud but extremely welcoming into his resturuant. I sat at the bar up front- neat little set up you can see everyone and everything going on around you. The bartender Michelle (I think was her name) was so excited to help us. She approached with smile and asked if we would like to start off with a appetizer. She had great things to say about everything and told us we had to try the Floyds Oysters. We did and wow I was so immpressed with them.
For my entree Michelle told us to try the Grilled or Fried Seafood Platter and that would give us a chance to try a bit of everything. So we did. Grilled and it came with the most amazing stuffed shrimp, grilled carb cakes, shrimp embrouchette, and to be honest I can't remember everything, but I can say that everything was great.
I am not one to say that I enjoy every outing - but this one I am giving a 10!!

MY REVIEW: Best cajun food I've ever had. Makes me think I'm sitting right in the heart of Louisiana. Big Dawg (Floyd Landry) and Brett Floyd make you feel right at home from the minute you open the door. I'm still working my way through the menu!!! The alligator is my favorite so far...the sauce is to die for!!
