MY REVIEW: Was curious since hearing the radio ads - ordered a large smokehouse & cheddar sub and a bowl of chili to go. First thing out was the chili - not prepared to go - and they did not even attempt to pronounce my last name - told the server there was a sub, too and all of the order was to go. It took another few minutes for the sub and packaging. When I go t home - major dissappointment -- soggy sub - could not taste any cheese (added my own). Chili had a good flavor, but needed to be reheated - BUT, it had beans - beans in Texas chili?? and there were WAYYY too many. Glad the prices were right, but will not return.

MY REVIEW: Great Subs!!! My family and I eat here at least once per week. The kids love it and I love that kids eat free on Sunday when I buy a medium combo meal. My favorite is the Turkey Bacon Ranch and Italian, my husband loves the Steak and Cheese. The decor is cute with a firefighter theme, which my kids really like. The people here are very friendly.

I've also used this Firehouse for catering - they do box lunches, which are great, as well as platters; the subs were a big hit with my sales team and office staff. Oatmeal cookies and brownies are also worth mentioning - very good.

MY REVIEW: Firehouse recently expanded out to Sugar Land, and it is now my favorite place to get a sandwich. Folks are friendly, prices are competitive and the food was great. I ordered the New York steamer and it was great. The brisket sandwich and broc/cheese soup are also tasty. I also liked that it was clean.

MY REVIEW: Excellent service, employees upbeat and friendly. I dine here every Sunday with my family and have never been disapointed. The food is always fresh and staff helpful and smiling. Will keep coming back again and again. Thanks Firehouse!

MY REVIEW: My Italian sub was dreadful. Do you really need mayo, mustard, and another sugary sauce on any sub, let alone an Italian sub? Yuck. Otherwise the rest was just OK at best. The steamed meat concept is unnecessary unless you like damp meat. My sandwich was a runny mess.

MY REVIEW: I have been trying to find a good cheese steak grinder / sandwich since moving to Houston (1 year ago). I was excited to see that Firehouse had one to offer. To summarize my visit..when I walked in the door the two “gentlemen” behind the counter were entertaining themselves by mocking a customer waiting for her to go order as she had a thick accent. They then proceeded to poke a little fun at me while ordering. Nothing unethical, just unexpected and not necessary. I asked for a large steak and cheese and a medium steak, cheese, and onion. The order I received was incorrect. The large had steak only and no cheese and the medium had a huge pile of onions on one side and no cheese also. The bread was stale and soft. The steak seemed like it had been sitting dry for hours. Possibly leftovers from lunch? Worth noting there was no line or rush. There were only two customers and I was one of them. They were playing around so much they messed up two orders. While waiting for my order I noticed they had a donation / charity they sponsored. I can't recall the name of the charity but in short, the sign said to donate two dollars and it helps fire fighters save lives. If you donate Firehouse will give you one of their 5 gallon pickle buckets. The bucket seemed odd but it was the donation to a good cause that I wanted to participate in. When I mentioned to one of the jokesters my desire to donate he looked at me like I was speaking another language. I repeated myself and he called someone else out to assist me. The employee that assisted me was very kind and took my donation while one of the jokesters made fun of how old he was.... Horrible first impression, horrible food quality (even though it was the wrong order the taste was flat at best), horrible experience. I will never step foot into this location or any others with this name again. The only good thing out of this visit was their sponsored charity and the nice man that took the donation. To close, for those who have read Chris’s and Robin’s story on their web site I can tell you this. They completely failed on their missions for the product, the customer, and the heat….they did well on the theme.

MY REVIEW: The last time I went to eat at Firehouse the place was packed. That in itself should tell you something. My family loves this place. We drive pass S*ubway and Q*uiznos to get to Firehouse. My son has never been one to eat sandwiches and his new word for these subs is "delicious". I highly recommend this place!

MY REVIEW: Definitely a unique sandwich shop. The food wasn’t bad, wasn’t anything to cheer about either. They have large selection of hot sauces lined up you can put on whatever sandwich you order. They make the sandwiches behind a rather large counter w/ no way to see what they are doing. I don’t like the personal attention they’ll give you; at the one particular shop on memorial Dr (Not listed on here) they call your name when the sandwich is ready. I don’t like that. I also don’t like how the drink section is crammed into the back corner of the building making it impossible for two people to be there at once. The whole concept is firefighter terms and marketing. So the sandwich menu and insides are accordingly. Id give the place 3 of 5 stars.

MY REVIEW: My family loves this place. We have been there numerous times and there have never been any problems. They put alot of cheese and meat, lettuce, and tomato. The service is great, and there are many hot sauces and barbecue flavors for extra flavor. We recommend it to everyone.

The establishment is usually very busy during lunch hours, so if you want really good food and service, it's best to go around 3 or so when the lunch crowd clears out. Also, parking is an issue, so if you do go during busy hours, be sure to scope out a space as soon as you can!

MY REVIEW: If you like tons of mayo and bread, this is the place for you. However, if you like alot of meat and cheese, don't bother. The pictures used in their ads are very misleading. Very disappointing.

MY REVIEW: If you like sandwiches then this is the place to eat. The subs are out of this world! The bread is tasty and warm, not to dry, not too wet. They give you plenty of meat and veggies and the service is actually very good for a sandwich place, especially compared with a S*ubway or Q*uiznos. Once you've had one of these sandwiches you will forget about all others.
