The crawfish is off the chart. They are always great size, spiced just right and reasonably priced. The other menu items are awesome as well and you can tell it is "home-made". It is worth a trip to Deer Park no matter where you live. You can expect a clean casual restaurant with good crawfish and good service. The pricing was average. Inside and covered outside seating (picnic tables in the bay area). They now have beer. The bad, the Pistolette is small and you only get one for 4 dollars. Ice tea only in cans, so no refills. Water only in bottles, no tap. Overall a nice experience. Our friends had been telling us about this Great Crawfish place in Deer Park, we had not been able to go.....WELLLLL let me tell you, we went Saturday and were making plans to go again....it's great Flavored Crawfish...we ordered extra spicy and my lips were on fire...it was AWESOME!!!!! Best Crawfish in the Houston area..You gotta try the Pistolettes...they look like a Kolache stuffed with Cheesy Fondue with Shrimp, Crab and Crawfish....DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! There is an inside dinning area and one in the "shop area" with 2 big bay doors open. We chose to eat in the shop where large fans kept us cool and kept the flies at bay. We ordered spicy crawfish and a bowl of gumbo. For my taste the chicken and sausage gumbo was a little light and a little thin and a little salty, however it was edible and defiantly home made. By far not the worst I've had in Houston. The crawfish was off the hook good. We ordered spicy when asked (regular/spicy/extra spicy). Absolutely the largest, spiciest, most flavor and best value I have ever had in the Houston area. 5 lbs for 19 bucks and better flavor than any of the others I have tried in Houston. As the other postings said, the spice is in the water and soaked into the crawfish, not just sprinkled on top. This was well worth the trip out from the heights. And my lips burned all the way back to 11th street. They don't sell beer but you are allowed to bring your own (or wine or whatever). We had bottled water. And a last piece of advice, I plan to take a claw cracker next time ad the claws where huge. Warning to all from inside the loop, once you have been there you may not be willing to go back to your local spot.
