MY REVIEW: The first thing that caught my attention was how small this place was compared to the other Alma Latinas. I soon found this to be a plus since it helped contribute to the feeling of peace and calmness that allowed me to enjoy the great food in peace while finishing up some work. I ordered the "parillada mixta", it was delicious and something that i would expect to pay twice as much for. This is a great place with a great atmosphere and i am now a life long customer. This is an ideal place for people that are looking for a nice quiet place with great food.

MY REVIEW: Really good service, and nice restaurant considering its in a rundown neighborhood , portions are HUGE I have never seen a plate of enchiladas that almost spans from one end of the table to the other! A little pricey but overall good food.

MY REVIEW: My husband had the QUESADILLA LATINA SHRIMP W/ SALAD & AVOCADO. The salad was a DAB of pico de guillo and the avocado was a DAB of quacamole; the french fries were soggy. I had the grilled PLATO LATINO (Combo of shrimp, oysters & fish). The rice tasted like converted white rice; there was a DAB of pico de guillo. The portions of seafood were unbelievable SMALL and not very tasty. We have NEVER left a Mexican restaurant hungry, but we did that evening. The food quality and value are definitely not at Alma Latina Taqueria.
If you want great tasting seafood and great value, go to M*ambo's on I-45.

MY REVIEW: We have vistited the Alma Latina on 1960 and Champions Forest twice and were extremely satified on both visits. The Menudo was great as was the barbacoa tacos. The huevos rancheros were perfect. On oue second visit we tried the chile rellano. The beef was perfectly seasoned. The pepper was not over hot so as to kill the flavor. We are looking forward to returning to try more items. This is truly one of Houston's best true Mexican resturants...if you are looking for a tex-mex restaurant you are better off going to p*appasitos.
