MY REVIEW: We live on the Island and have visited this deli at least ten times since they opened. They have always taken way too long to cook/prepare our food and thus we usually do not go there for our limited lunch hour. The food though is usually pretty good and the staff pleasant. Until....just the other day we went for dinner. As usual, it took 30 minutes to prepare three sandwiches. I then made the mistake of ordering a piece of key lime pie to go. You would think it would not take long to box up a piece of pre-prepared pie, but you would be wrong. I waited 15 minutes and then asked a manager who was walking by to check on my order. She asked the kitchen staff and the person responded that it was already boxed up and ready to go. The manager then looked at the girl working behind the counter (who was responsible for handing the food to the customers). The girl defensively stated that she was busy with a large order. The manager then shrugged her shoulders and walked off. The girl proceeded to box up her large order and I continued to stand there ignored. I could actually see my box of pie sitting on the counter just out of my reach. I waited for a few minutes becoming increasingly angry. I then stalked over to the manager, slammed my fist on the counter and stated "Give me my pie!". I am usually very slow to anger and very patient with people in the restaurant business, but this was too much to take. I will NEVER give this restaurant my business again.

MY REVIEW: I was not impressed. The chicken sandwich I got tasted like frozen precooked, the food took 30 minutes to get to the table (come on now, It's a sandwich! How long could it TAKE?). The tea was good and if the tea's not good I won't go back (just a little tic of mine) and the people are friendly, I liked the atmosphere but I found it a little too high priced and not quite good enough to make me want to pay that much for some bread on meat.
