MY REVIEW: What a great lunch today: 1/2 order Vietnamese egg rolls and the combination sandwich with roast pork, meatballs & chicken lunch meat. Their egg rolls are among the best I have found. And I've had the famous sandwiches next door at Hong Kong M*arket, but prefer Hoang My.

MY REVIEW: Great food. I haven't tried the pho yet, but what I have tried, I loved. All of the Bánh cuốn-like appetizers I've tried were good. The "spring salad", I think it's called (A-6, maybe, the one with cucumbers, jellyfish, "pork" [it's sliced pigs ear, and it's GREAT]) is excellent. The periwinkle soup was good (lots of fish oil, so if that's not your thing... well... you wouldn't be eating Vietnamese if that wasn't your thing, so never mind). I recommend.

MY REVIEW: The food at this neighborhood eatry is wonderful. It compares favorably with one of my favorite haunts in Clear Lake, NASA F*ast Food. But Hoang My has a much larger menu selection. Today at Hoang My I ordered house fried rice with charcoal pork and 2 eggrolls. That's the same dish I usually get from John at NASA F*ast Food and both places execute this dish equally well,. except the Viet eggrolls at Hoang may be even better.

This place is not fancy, but it's pleasant and super clean. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. I hear the pho soup is excellent so I will return when the weather is cooler.

MY REVIEW: I've been to most of the vietnamese restaurants in Houston, having lived in the second ward near little vietnam and having worked near midtown for years, and I gotta say, this is the best vietnamese I've ever had in Houston. Just amazing, great friendly staff, terrific prices, and the food and smoothies are just perfect. The shredded/bbq pork plate with the egg cake is a huge meal that hits on all cylinders. When a friend comes to visit from out of town, this is where I take them.

MY REVIEW: I don't think they actually know my name but I've been more times than I can count! This place is the best Vietnamese place I've ever been too. I never had Vietnamese food until I ate here and now I'm obsessed! I live in Baton Rouge, LA and I've eaten at every Vietnamese restaurant in town but none of them come close to Hoang My. I come to Houston about once a month and stay for at least a week and I go to Hoang My everyday that I am in town. The rice noodle soup with stewed beef is the best soup I've tasted in my life...no exaggeration! The charcoal pork sandwich is so delicious too! The prices are great also. The small soup is huge and can easily satisfy both my boyfriend(who has a big appetite) and myself. The Vietnamese egg rolls are fabulous. I get a smoothie with tapioca every time I go there too and they are amazing. The workers are friendly...you can tell it's a family owned restaurant. You have got to try this place!

MY REVIEW: Absolutely love this place! The restaurant is small and simply decorated, nothing fancy, but the food and prices cannot be beat. My friends and I really enjoy coming here for lunch. Everything is authentic and delicious - Banh mi, pho, spring rolls, you name it. They can even make any of their meat entrees with tofu for vegetarians). I believe it is family owned and the owner, Kim, is the sweetest lady.

Highly recommended!

MY REVIEW: Their cubed filet mignon is the best I've ever tasted and the price can't be beat. Their fruit smoothies and tapioca drinks are also excellent.
