Come Taste Tradition...   Add Review PROFILE     MY REVIEW: I have enjoyed each visit to Gumbalaya's. The portions of food are HUGE! If you have a BIG appetite, you won't be disappointed. On my very first visit, I tried the bread pudding and it was DELICIOUS (almost as good as my mother's). The smothered pork chops were good and tender, the gravy was really good. I love their fish and shrimp, seasoned just right! There's not too many places that have good HOMEMADE cobbler, but they have some really good HOMEMADE peach cobbler, it too is almost as good as my mother's. I enjoy the ambience, very laid-back but yet classy atmosphere. The service is good and the staff is friendly, I love that! A couple of the times I had gone, they were offering line-dancing and a couple of my friends that were with me joined in on the fun. It's a restaurant that TRULY makes you feel at home. The flavor of the food is seasoned to taste. I have had the opportunity to try almost every dish and appetizer on the menu. I must say I've throughly enjoyed each dish. The gumbo is one of my favorite appetizers. As for deserts, the banana pudding gets two thumbs up. Note: I did not eat bananna pudding before trying Gumbalaya's...now it's the dessert I order.
