Manuel's Mexican Restaurant

MY REVIEW: Manuel's is a hidden gem in the Summerwood area. We come here (too) often for a weekend breakfast treat. Everything is hot, fresh and tasty.

The taquitos (chorizo, bacon, potato are some of the choices) and are generously filled past capacity of the poor tortilla. The chilaquiles are the best I've ever had (but beware of the *fresh* jalapenos inside). Great huevos rancheros, too. Make sure to get an order of their wonderfully crispy bacon.

Can you tell we love Manuel's for breakfast? We take all our out-of-town visitors here and they always request a return visit to Manuel's.

And if the whole family isn't ready for a breakfast outing, just call ahead and they'll make your order to-go. SO-O-O much better than picking up donuts.

MY REVIEW: We just recently moved into Summerwood and decided to try the local restaurant, not expecting too much.

We were pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. The fajitas were quite tasty, the quesadillas were very good and the tacos were just so-so. The prices were lower than in most Mexican restaurants. All in all, a great experience. We will definitely make this a regular stop.

MY REVIEW: We love this restaurant, and will reccommend it to everyone. They are always quick with chips and salsa, getting drinks, and your food comes out quickly. Sometimes it can be loud or too cold. You have to try the queso and margaritas. If you don't live near W Lake Houston, it's worth the drive.
