MY REVIEW: I eat here often. I love the food, sure I've tried a couple of dishes that I didn't care for but overall the food is good. I've always had good prompt service.

MY REVIEW: I reviewed this restaurant negatively back in 02/2008 and in all fairness, wanted to give it another try. The decor and the choices on the menu did appeal to me on the first visit and I'm glad that I went again. This time I had the spring rolls and the cashew chicken both of which were very good. The chicken was very nicely sauced and the portion was very generous. I will go back again.

MY REVIEW: I bet most people order to go here. The place is clean, relatively quiet with 80s music in the background, and 2 small flat screens. Service is mediocre. The large hot and sour soup came out in a large bowl, enough for four. The waitress couldn't give me much description about any of the dishes. His shrimp in garlic sauce had large shrimps and fine sauce -- just really challenging to get another bowl of rice. I ordered the Singapore noodles -- not a good choice -- very dry thin rice vermicelli with tiny shrimp an very dry chicken. It was hard to get chopsticks. Better than most fast food Chinese joints. May return in the future for lunch (available until 4PM!).

MY REVIEW: Strong points: The interior was very nice, cozy and clean.

Weak points: The food was not very good, at least what I ordered. I ordered the barbq ribs and received four ribs, one of which had absolutely no meat on it. The meat was very tough and the ribs were covered in a sweet sauce that was not very good. I also ordered the lemon chicken. It was pieces of chicken fried in a spongy batter with the lemon sauce on the side. It was not very good either.

In all fairness, there are several good reviews here, so I might try it again but probably not.

MY REVIEW: This place serves the most amazing food!! We eat here about 2 times per months for the last 5 months. So far we have not had a bad dish. The spicy crispy shrimp is great--served with a fantastic sauce. The crispy asparagus is so tasty and so are the noodles. My only caveat is to be specific about your spice levels because if you don't say anything the spice levels will vary tremendously in your dishes from visit to visit. GREAT PRICES, GREAT PLACE. Service is just ok--but its a really nice white linen setup.

MY REVIEW: This place is a gem! We went on the suggestion from other reviews and they are right! Every time we go we try something new and we have not been dissappointed once. I only have one warning: Do not go too hungry because they prepare to order and so there is a little bit of a wait, but trust me it is worth it.

MY REVIEW: Outstanding! I first met the owner when he was at K@m's on Montrose. 3-6-9 Oriental Bistro is his newest restaurant. The freshest ingredients expertly prepared make this the best Chinese in the city. Cozy atmosphere, very reasonable prices, and an owner who makes sure everthing is right. The fried asparagus in spicy jalepeno sauce is an amazing appetizer. The wonton soup in my favorite in the city. Try the the Tropical Shrimp, very lightly battered shrimp with peaches and pineapple--its amazing. 3-6-9 Oriental Bistro serves wine and beer, no liquor. Looking for the best Chinese inside the Loop? You just found it.

MY REVIEW: What's not to like about this extraordinary eatery? The atmosphere is top-notch and the food and service are excellent. Having eaten there many times and trying just about everything on the menu I can only say nothing disappoints. Quite the opposite, as even the simplest dish is far better than expected. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially for the quantity of food. The service is perfect: attentive but not intrusive, friendly but not overly so. Be sure to try the Crispy Spicy Asparagus, a great way to start the meal.

MY REVIEW: Very good food. Went on sunday for lunch and was surprised by the low prices and high quality/amount of food. Lunch special included a soup and an appetizer. Had very good general tso chicken. Nice looking dining room and very quiet. Highly recommend.

MY REVIEW: Small is good. Cozy is good. Good food is good. And cheap prices are always good. 369 is one hole-in-the-wall that hasn't been discovered yet, candle-lit, and right in the heart of Montrose. Sounds corny, but try the General Tso's with Basil...or the Udon. The family is Chinese, but they break boundaries with a few dishes that turn out to be very, very good. You'll pay a lot more at K*am's down the street, and get nothing more than 369.

MY REVIEW: Great neighborhood place with reasonable priced dishes and good food. Lunch specials are a real deal. Eat in or take out. Family owned and run by nice people.
