Thibodeaux's Cajun Food

MY REVIEW: Mrs. Thibodeaux has the best Cajun food around, her Boudin, Gumbos, Boudin Balls are to die for! I don't understand the bad reviews, unless of course it is people who have no taste buds or prefer the nasty R*ichard's Cajun food located out on I-10... One more thing, Mrs. Thibodeaux keeps a clean kitchen, anyone can see this by going to Baytown's Health Department's webiste, one can view her scores there....

MY REVIEW: Just visited the new location off Normandy...great food, below average service. My husband and I waited 17 min for our Jambalaya and catfish. And when i ordered the special I was told they ran out of cornbread, and no one offered me a substitute. Instead, I payed for the "special combo" without receiving a complete meal. I totally wanted to walk out but we paid for out food before we received it. I was extremely dissapointed because i wanted to like this place! Just because Im a Cajun food lover, I will be back but for take out only.

MY REVIEW: Best Boudain outside of Louisiana. Very good specials, good chicken and Sausage Gumbo.

I don't really care for the Boudain Egg Roll though. I buy her regular Boudain and take it home to smoke myself. Always gets raves. FORGET store bought Boudain, hers is homemade.

Not fancy at all and I'm sure it will stay that way. Its not dirty, just old. The restroom is always much cleaner than most "Fancy" places you'll go to. Closes at early, really a lunch place.

MY REVIEW: finally caught this place open with eager anticipation being that I love cajun food, and although I work and spend most of my time in Houston , I live around the corner from this place. tried the gumbo.....bland, tried the hushpuppies.... they didn't suck, tried the boudain.... very average, tried the bread pudding........just a big clump of nothing special. this place is dirty, dank and looks like nothing has changed or been dusted since the mid-sventies. not worth a second trip

MY REVIEW: While this is not a place for the faint of heart, the food is excellent. The daily specials are truly special and the regular menu items (gumbo, etc.) is well worth the price. It may not be the fanciest, or the most up-to-date place to eat, but the food and service are just right!
