MY REVIEW: I love the fact that we have this awesome family owned greek restaurant in the middle of Sagemont! Even if you have never tried greek food, if you are not up to experiencing new things, there is something for everyone. My son LOVES going to eat at Deno's. He loves the burger, steak, gyro, and new fav is the chicken gyro. I noticed someone mentioning that the pita bread was not fresh, it is intentionally grilled to add to the flavor. My favorite is the yia-yia chicken soup, chicken salad is fantastic, and the pork chops are out of this world. My family loves the desserts as well, especially the key lime pie, bread pudding (I never would even try it until Deno's), and the baklava is sinful... The business if family owned/friendly and the staff are quick with our orders. A hidden bonus is that they have a private dining room available that we have taken advantage of several times for a birthday party and a baby shower. The cool thing is, you don't have to rent the room! I am a dedicated Deno's customer, and can't wait till they start selling beer and wine. If you haven't tried them before, check it out, it beats driving across town to settle for a mediocre meal for more money, when we have such a cool place here in our backyard!

MY REVIEW: We LOVE Deno's, we have been going there since it opened and love everything on the menu. They have the best steaks at the best prices anywhere. The Spinach Artichoke dip with pita bread is my wife's favorite appetizer, I love it all. Great atmosphere, great staff, a great place to bring family and friends. Oh yeah, they let you bring in your own beer or wine at no extra charge! Can't beat that!

MY REVIEW: Once i Head about Deno's I had to check it out. It is set in with its surroundings, a great small resteraunt. The service is great, not loud and can carry on a good conversation.
I tried my favorite and ordered the shrimp, it is now my favorite place for eating shrimp. I ordered it fried and usually is covered in bread and doesnt taste good. But at Deno's it is just right and you get a delightful taste. Deno's is a perfect small town setting in a large city.

MY REVIEW: This was my first visit so I may have gone at a bad time. We ordered the gyro sandwich and the stuffed grape leaves (dolmades). The pita bread was oily and must have been heated on a grill. It was not fresh. The dolmades were very mushy. Sorry for the bad review. I have tried many Greek restaurants in Houston and did not realy care for this one. May try back on other items in future.

MY REVIEW: I love Greek food and I've been to D*roubi's, Yia Yia Ma*ry's and others.
I was ecstatic to discover Denos and their food is excellent and BETTER than the ones I mentioned above. The food is consistently good. Great gyros, family dinner, soup, salads and more.
Additionally, this family-owned restaurant provides friendly and prompt service and the ambiance is small and cozy. It's a great place as you can actually carry on a conversation there and hear yourself think (it's not a loud restaurant, which seems to be the trend these days).
If you live in the Southbelt area and love great Greek food, this is the place to go!

MY REVIEW: This restaurant has many strong points. They are all focused on the excellence of their food. The, keftedes(sp), gyros, cucumber sauce, salads etc....I have yet to order something that i didn't like. They have to make the best gyro bread ever. This bread is absolutely devine!!!! The only problem I have, is that i continue to order the same thing over and over again, not giving the other items a chance. The ambiance is always a delight. The music and the nice deck in the front is always relaxing. You can even bring your own bottled wine with you for your evening dinners. This was a BIG PLUS for us...
My fiance is a meat and potatos man and previously refused to even enter the place. His claim is that "salads are not a MANS meal". Guess who adores Deno's now? My finace and I frequent this place at least once a week. He loves the gyro meat! Just loves it! And the salads??? No complaints anymore. He can not get enough of Deno's.

MY REVIEW: Went there for the first time yesterday and was thoroughly impressed. Not just great Greek food, but sandwiches and burgers too. Deno's presence looms large over the restaurant, his name is everywhere. It's sad this place doesn't get more business, it's excellent.

MY REVIEW: I found this restaurant at b4-u-eat.com and was very surprised that there was a Greek cafe so close to my home!
My wife and I went there today and in our opinion, this is our new favorite restaurant. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the staff were wonderful. We went there around 2pm on a Saturday and were surprised to find it nearly empty. I would suggest the owners add "Greek Cafe" to the name on the sign and in the phone book to let people know what kind of cuisine they sell, as this would more than likely increase their business.
The food was superb, my wife and I shared a Greek Salad, followed by the tiropita (excellent!). We both had Gyros sandwiches, her with fries, and me with oven roasted potatos. My only regret is that we were so full, we could not sample any dessert!
I would recommend this cafe to anybody, and already find myself wanting to return for dinner.
*they also deliver with a $25 minimum order*

MY REVIEW: My husband and I and our kids love Deno's food! Their gyros are GREAT, the cucumber sauce is addictive, and they have the best pita bread! Their salads are also excellent and the Greek dressing is also great! You would not be disappointed with this place! Their chocolate amaretto cake is to die for! We always get the food to go because of having small children, but the atmosphere inside the restaurant is very pretty and inviting. Deno's is consistently GREAT and never disappointing!

MY REVIEW: The restaurant is small, but has the best Pita's I've ever had. I love their gyro's!!! For those that don't know, they also have a catering business, and when i got married nearby we used them for the food and the cake. IT was all delicious, their oven roasted chicken (also on the restaurant menu) was the best chicken i've ever had. I can't wait for my anniversary so i can eat my cake again!

MY REVIEW: This place is wonderful!!!! Even if you don't live in this area, you need to make the trip!! Being a big fan of N*iko N*iko's, I was glad to see a Greek restaurant closer to my home. The food is better than N*iko's in my opinion. They have the absolute best baklava I have ever eaten. Make sure you save room.
The first time we went, my husband and I shared the Great Greek dinner. It was fantastic! Tonight we got the gyro plate and the vegetarian plate and shared our dinners. It was just good as we remembered. Our 8 year old walked over to the waitress to ask her to tell the cook it was the best hamburger (children's menu) he ever ate.
Please make an effort to try this clean, quaint restaurant no matter what side of town you reside. Your trip will be rewarded with good food, great service and a comfortable atmosphere.

MY REVIEW: I went with the previous reviewer to try out this restaurant and it's as good as the review says. I had the vegetarian gyro, which was seved with a mound of crispy hot fries. The pitas were the best I've ever had and the hummus was delicious. Creamy, well-seasoned, and a portion size that's big enough for three people to share as an appetizer.
There was only one other diner there the day we visited, which, considering the high quality of the food, surprised me. The interior is clean as a whistle, not fancy but welcoming, and our waitress was great. I hope more people eat here and keep this place in business for a long time to come.

MY REVIEW: I've been curious about this restaurant and decided to give it a go this afternoon while driving by. The non-descript white exterior hid a warm, friendly atmosphere which felt very clean and well-maintained. We were immediately greeted by our fantastic waitress who gave us the best service I've experienced in a long time.
My girlfriend and I ordered the Gyro lunch combo for $6.95 to test the waters as I've had quite a few Gyros and thought it would be a good gauge of the restaurant. We also ordered the hummus that was great - no skimping on the tahini here. Everything came out quickly and was piping hot. The fries were perfect and the pitas were to die for. I've never eaten a pita like this. Fluffy and warm - you just have to try it to appreciate it. The menu boasts "Off and On Since 1957" but you can tell there is a rich Greek heritage at work behind this food. Pleasant traditional instrumental Greek music played at a perfect level as we feasted on an ample sized portion of gyro heaven. All of the deserts are made in the restaurant - no Cisco pre-packaged cheesecake here.
I plan to go back very soon and try some of the real meals on the menu. I'm sure they'll be as delicious as everything else we've tried. Overall I'm very happy to have discovered this place. Two thumbs up!
