MY REVIEW: We were not very happy with a recent visit. We had the lunch buffet the other day and had the pancit (rice noodles) for our first serving. But when it was time to go back for seconds, the buffet table had barely anything left to serve guests. I asked the server where the rest of the food is and he plainly said "sorry, we're out" and then goes back to watching TV. He didn't even have the courtesy to stand up and try to help us. We were looking forward to a a satisfying lunch but ended up having to leave right away because we were so pissed. And when we were about to pay on the counter (I can't believe they actually charged us full price) I had to get his attention because he was glued to the TV. Also while this was happening several customers came in the restaurant and he didn't budge from his seat. So much for customer service!
Do yourself a favor and do not go to this place. I know we are not - ever.

MY REVIEW: Urged the wife that we needed to warm up the 'vette'(not driven in the rain) before the battery goes dead again so we chased Hwy 6 from where it starts in Galveston county and headed north. I've seen a lot of ads about the Pinoy Kusina on print and online and wanted to check it out. We've eaten at L*oleng's(it's gone), G*odo's, F*ilipiniana and B*oracay. I'll skip the first 3, B*oracay shouldn't use the name -it sucks. Just about ready to smash the over-rated GPS when I decided to heed the female robotic voice that eventually took us to Mason Rd. Driving up to the parking lot, the business setting reminded me of B*anana Leaf on Bellaire - a real good but expensive Malaysian restaurant. The place is small-good, clean-good, restroom is clean-good. It's 12:30 but where's everybody? Its just me and the wife-not good. Just sat down and started eating my soup-I was told it was sinigang na baboy but tasted more like bulalo sans bones, when a couple came in and the wife immediately started pointing at what she wanted for lunch while the husband sat down and was eating a s*ubway sandwich-not good. The food was good but nothing stood out that'll make me drive 50+ miles unless I happen to wanna go to Bass Pro Shop in Katy Mills. That would be good-not good, great!

MY REVIEW: This small restaurant has the Filipino atmosphere which makes me feel like I am in the Philippines. The staff and other customers are friendly and happy. The food they serve are very tasty, fresh, and varies from day to day. Once you taste the Filipino food they serve, you will come back frequently. What a nice restaurant to hang out with nice ambiance. I would recommend this place to everyone who like to eat Asian food.

MY REVIEW: Very good food and very friendly and helpful staff. Sinigang na baboy was a little on the salty side, but yet very good. The Menudo was excellent (just like my Filipina girlfriend use to make it). I closed my wonderful dining experience with delicious Lechon and masarap I would definitely come back again and again.

MY REVIEW: Even if the restaurant is under new management, the menu stays the same. The decors have some Filipino spirit and pizazz. The foods are palatable. Pinakbet, paksiw, chicken adobo, and dinuguan are my favorites. Taste better than before. The place is clean and the Filipino TV channels are entertaining while eating the tasty food. The staff are friendly.
I would recommend this place for all the Filipinos residing in Katy area.

MY REVIEW: I will not come back again. I was charged too much for a side dish of paksiw and green beans. $11.99 for 2 small bowl of side dishes. I couldn't even finish the green beans because it was too salty. I got charge a total of $15 including a halo halo at the end.I was not even full. When I got to katy mills I had to eat something else because I am still hungry. If you're the only customer eating out there there is something wrong.

MY REVIEW: Very good food. We arrived there late in the day, but the food looked pretty fresh and still very appetizing. The dinuguan, chicken adobo, and pork binagoongan were very good, but the palabok (sp?) was a bit soggy and not too tasty (probably because it was sitting out most of the day). We are from Maryland/Washington DC area visiting family in Houston. I would definitely rank this little restaurant up there with the best I've eaten in the DC area, where many choosy Filipinos reside!

MY REVIEW: The food here is really good and tasty, they offer alot of dishes that other filipino restaurant in town dont have, the price is a great value for the food you get and the people who manages this place are very friendly and accomodating, the service they provide is quick and courteous. Place have a clean and simple ambiance, you can call in advance to pick up your order which is great. Having this place allows me to have delicious, hot filipino food available whenever I want it. BTW, they have these things that I think only they have its called "Uberon" which is turon with banana and ube filling and the Crispy Binagoongan ROCKS!! Thanks for catering to our filipino taste and needs in the Katy area.

MY REVIEW: I've been to this restaurant for several times and I really like their food specially their 'dinuguan' and 'kilawing papaya'. It seems like this is the only restaurant in houston that serves these special delicacy. But there's one thing that I don't like about this restaurant, they closed early in the evening like 7PM. I always have to beat the closing time to get my favorite food.

MY REVIEW: Attended their grand opening and was impressed with how they handled their unfortunate situation. The electricity was out and yet the Pinoy Kusina crew handled the situation very well. There was a long wait but the food was very good. I will recommend this to my friends in Katy. I live in Austin but happened to be at the PinoyGrocery store to buy my hopia and the store manager said to try the new Filipino Take out place and I am glad I did. I will definitely drop by again when I am in Houston.
