Lots of things are good about it. I love that they roast their coffee on site and I often buy bags to take home. But the employees there aren't really trained. It's twice I've been in there when the person behind the counter had never used soymilk and was unsure of how to ring it up. You don't leave people at a place by themselves if they can't ring up the drinks. However, the manager was the most sour, rude person I have ever come in contact with. If he wants customers to continue to visit his coffee shop, he should at least be pleasant. I spend way too much time in coffee shops and like to try as many different places as I can. I feel like I know a good coffee shop in Houston, and this is the best. As the other reviewers have stated, the coffee is as fresh as you can get - and it makes a huge difference. Comfortable, and plenty of space to work on the computer etc. Good music, that is not too loud, so I can hear myself think. People who care about the quality of their coffee, not just over caffeinated teenagers. Dunn Bros is nothing like S*tarbucks or It's a G*rind. Dunn Bros serves fresh coffee and espresso drinks from coffee beans that are roasted on location. I don't think any S*tarbucks or It's a G*rind can say they do that, much less say they serve fresh coffee or espresso drinks. I frequently speak with the person who roasts the beans at the Briar Forest location and let me tell you, I've not spoken to anyone at those other coffee houses that has anywhere near the knowledge of coffee beans, roasting the beans and creating coffee drinks. Since all Dunn Bros roast their beans on location, that means I can get the same exceptionally fresh coffee drinks at any of their locations. I live in Katy and work near the Briar Forest location, so I'm a customer of both stores. The architecture is totally different in each store. That's why I don't think the reviewer "Hugh Diner" has been to any other Dunn Bros. It seems that the owners try to design the stores to fit into the communities where they're located. The bottom line is, if you like comfort with your wifi and the best coffee you can get anywhere, Dunn Bros stands out as one of the best coffee shops you can go to. If you enjoy brewing quality beans at home, then this is the place to get your coffee. Roasting the beans onsite has really opened my eyes to fresh roasting. Plus, with local artists filling the walls with art, the atmosphere is way cool. Free WiFi and they have complimentary computers ready to surf the web...NICE! Lots pastries and sandwiches (Dunn Bar is good). The only complaint is with the muffins... theyr'e full of some kind of candied fruit. Not my thing. Other than that, Dunn Bros Coffee on Space Center Blvd is my new coffee shop! Coffee beans are roasted fresh on site and the coffee is better than anywhere else I've been. Plenty of pastries, sandwiches, cold drinks and a blended coffee drink they call an Icecrema. I really like the Caramel Mocha with whip cream. Oh yea, I there right now on my laptop using the free wireless. I've been here for hours and everyone is so nice. Someone even came up and asked if I need anything else or a cup of iced water. Great customer service. One things for sure, when I can, I'll be coming back to this place.
