MY REVIEW: This restaurant is one of the best places, not just Mediterranean, to eat in Katy. Prices are good, owners are fabulous, and prices are pretty good. The babghanouj is definitely the best in town. It has a yummy roasted eggplant flavor that I haven't had in other restaurants. The chicken shwarma is to die for and the falafel is yummy too. When I walk in I am always greeted by the son with, "Long time no see!" He may not know my name, but he knows I am a loyal customer and he appreciates that.
The music on the tv is a little loud but it makes me smile to see rap videos from this part of the world! They have redecorated and it is a nice place to be. Go here!

MY REVIEW: Finally, after being a longtime fix provider for my wife's hummus habit, we had dinner at Cedar's.
First of all, the people running Cedar's are wonderful, they have always been extremely nice and genuinely happy to have us in their store. This night was no exception, even though we were there late and left right at closing time.
Their family was their eating and the atmosphere was warm and relaxed. My wife ordered the chicken kebab and I had the beef/lamb shawarma plate. My daughter had chicken strips. The food was very good and I can't wait to go back and try more. The owner was over often to see how we were doing and to chat with us and our daughter, giving her 2 lollipops because she ate all her chicken.
You can't help but love a place where the people are excited to have you there and are eager to share their cuisine with you. Even if I ever get my hummus to taste as good as theirs, which I doubt, we will still be loyal customers.

MY REVIEW: Someone noted the other day that they didn't realize there were any Mediterranean restaurants in the Katy area. We've been coming to the Cedars since it opened and have always found the food good and of high quality. The staff is always very pleasant and personable.
Believe me, you have to go a long way out of the area to find a comparable selection that matches the Cedar's menu.

MY REVIEW: We regularly grab carry-out dinner from Cedars. They provide an excellent meal for the price, and the service is always friendly. Call ahead to have your order ready. Grab a shwarma wrap for lunch the next day. Always choose lentil rice - it's very good.

MY REVIEW: I really wanted to like this place. I love middle eastern food. Falafel was great but everything else that I purchased was so filled with lemon juice that I could barely eat more than a few bites. The owners were totally nice and wonderful to speak to. They even offered us a few samples of other things. I just wish they would use much less lemon.

MY REVIEW: One of my favorite places to eat in Houston, with good food, friendly service and reasonable prices. The chicken shawarma is my usual, with the lentil rice. Always great taste, fresh and generous portions. Especially like the hummus. Got a free bowl of lentil soup on last visit and it was excellent, even though I don't usually like soup. The TV can be distracting at times, with pretty loud volume, but that's about the only thing I could possibly be unhappy with. Highly recommended!

MY REVIEW: It was terribly hot inside, placed our order at the counter, we were told it was a hot meal. It came before the appetizers. The meat was ice cold and terribly bitter from possibly bad limes. Hits you in the checks, would not mind if it tasted good but it tasted bad and I love Mediterranean food. Neither of us could eat it. The appetizer was ok but not worth the heat, the noise and the money. And, this is before the higher heat indexes from our lovely southern weather.

MY REVIEW: The food is home made. The athmosphere is very cozy. The service and the staff are very friendly. Is like been at home! I recommend all the meats, the best Babaganough in town. The Falafel is excellent too. The experience is always great!

MY REVIEW: I would recommend this place to anyone. I got the lamb shank which was absolutely fabulous. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff was extremely friendly, we were brought complimentary dessert, and the hummus was to die for. It certainly is the best Mediterranean restaurant on the west side of town. Prices are excellent and portions are large. I will certainly be back for many more visits.

MY REVIEW: The service was very friendly and warm, which we really appreciated. The shaved lamb/beef was on the dry side once it was served over the rice. The hummus was very good as well as the rice and tabuli. We would return but would probably not order the beef kabob. It was not good at this particular visit and we returned it. The owner apologized and without question replaced it with a new plate of chicken kabob which was VERY good. The atmosphere was great and the place was nice and clean, especially the restrooms!
