Profile Description: Mint Cafe is an intimate family owned restaurant located one block from the galleria that specializes in authentic home cooked lebanese cuisine. We offer an incredible diversity of lebanese and mediterrenean grill dishes prepared fresh daily and served with distinctive presentation and wam lebanese hospitalty in an impeccable, elegantly decorative, cozy cafe enviroment.
MY REVIEW: I love the food at Mint Cafe. I'm a vegetarian, so it's hard for me to find restaurants with enough choices to make a meal (other than a baked potato). Mint has many offerings for me, but I love the lentils/rice and grape leaves.

MY REVIEW: Fantastic food. Superb Service. Attractive ambiance.
I had read about Mint Cafe some time ago in the Chronicle, but just hadn't made time to go there. I wish I had not waited so long to try it out! I will definitely be becoming a regular.
Try the Labneh (yogurt dip) and the beef kabob (so juicy and tender).

MY REVIEW: I really like this place. The food is very authentic, so it might not be what you are accustomed to. That being said, the food is very very good-and very healthy too. When you arrive you are given pita chips and minced olives, similar to getting chips and salsa at a Mexican food restaurant, which I loved. Their Lentil soup is great, unique b/c it is pureed, but my favorite lentil soup I have had. Another unique menu item is the Hummus with beef and pine nuts, which was fabulous. In short, I will definetely be frequenting this spot.

MY REVIEW: What an amazing place! I took my parents - who are very harsh critics of food - and they absolutely loved it. This is some of the best Mediterranean food in the entire city. The owner is very friendly and enjoys talking to the guests. It was a wonderful experience. I'll definitely be back.

MY REVIEW: I think the food is some of the best in Houston. Their beef and chicken kabob are great, with excellent spicing and good sauces. The fatoosh is chunky and fresh and the fried cheese, haloum and gyro are also excellent. The owner is friendly and knowledgable and enjoys feedback. Great decor/location and hours make Mint Cafe one of my favorite places to go late.

MY REVIEW: The location of the restaurant is great, a new shopping center across from the Galleria. The cafe itself is simple but clean. Very friendly people and good service. However, I find their menu very priced comparing it to, for instance, M*ary'z on Richmond. I ordered a Gyro which is my favorite but it was a very different Gyro than at any other place. It did not have much meat and the meat was extremely thin to the point it looked like Bacon. They did not use the regular pita that I'm accustomed to when it comes to Gyros. They used the regular thin middle easten pita and it was not great at all. I like Hummos, that's about it. I ordered Mango juice and my friend ordered Strawberry and they were very watery. I felt like I was drinking water. Again, comparing it to M*ary'z juice or F*adi's juice I was not impressed at all.
I think they need to make some pricing adjustment and offer some quality food because the competition is fierce and to continue operating that way, I'm afraid that people will not think that they are getting good value for what they paid for.

MY REVIEW: I had a Fatoush Salad that was awesome. Light, fresh and great tasting. Lentil soup was good as well, but it was a puree instead of an actual soup where you can see the lentils. The hummus was really good as well.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is minimalistic, clean, well decorated and still feels cozy. I felt like I was in another city (Chicago, San Francisco). I loved the presentation of the food and portions were very generous. Fodd seemd to be very fresh and not cheap ingredients.
I noticed they offered BYOB, but the cork fee is $4.99. I found that a bit pricey, considered most BYOB don't charge or charge a $2 cork fee.
Nevertheless, MintCafe seems to be a great little restaurant and I can't not wait to go back again and take my in-laws.

MY REVIEW: Best Mediterranean food in town! Try the fried cheese, it melts in your mouth. Also a very friendly atosphere along with a clean, crisp, trendy setup.
Highly recommended.

MY REVIEW: Highly recommended. Good food, clean and aesthetically pleasing restaurant, and a convenient location.
The food is very tasty and authentic, and is also presented well. Not many places stop to think about giving you condiments on the side, or being flexible about what sides with your meal. These details can make the difference sometimes, and certainly add to the enjoyment of the meal. The menu has all of the Lebanese favorites, and the daily specials are also great if you're looking for a meal that tastes like it was home-cooked by someone who knows what they're doing. I also recommend trying the juices!

MY REVIEW: Mint Cafe is by far the best Mediterranean restaurant in the city! The food is fresh, authentic, and served with a smile. The decor is clean and modern and there is a covered patio with music where I can enjoy my fresh squeezed juice and homemade hummos. I will definitely become a regular customer.

MY REVIEW: This is neat new place! I had the Greek Salad on my first visit and was very favoribly impressed. It is large with lots of feta cheese and the balsamic dressing was really good. In looking at some of the plates being served, their Lebanese food looks really good and the customers seemed to be very pleased. Mint Cafe definitely warrants more visits.

MY REVIEW: This is a new and welcome addition to our little corner of the Galleria area,
I have yet to find anything on the menu that is not an absolute delight, lentil soup, shwarma, gyros, felafel all first rate, and I do not know where the tomatoes come from but they are the most flavorful I've ever eaten the service is fantastic, and down home friendly. I Always feel more like a favorite visiting relative than a patron.
