In the Doghouse Smokers

MY REVIEW: This place is amazing! Great selection, amazingly delicious food and the nicest people you will ever meet. Employees and the guys who run it are always smiling and laughing and make you want to come back again just hear them crack on each other. Fried okra is delicious but the ribs are mouth-watering!!!!

MY REVIEW: Best barbeque ever! Chopped beef, brisket, potato salad, fries -- it was all good! Great price for such great food! We've passed by a million times but were finally free to stop by for lunch - and, I'm glad we did. The sauce had a fantastic taste & the barbeque had truly a great flavor. The food wasn't dry or lacking in any way. We'll be back again!

MY REVIEW: I love the concept of the red trailer with the picnic tables, but not sold on the "q". I've ordered the brisket the two times i went, and had to drown it in sauce to get it down. Nothing against the flavor, just tough brisket even if it was cut from the lean. I also ordered when they had pulled pork on my last visit (love me some pulled pork). Took one bite and it was so dried out I could not finish. I'm no pro to bbq, but I do hit up about 15-20 different bbq joints on our annual bbq tour. I look for a solid smoke ring, good flavor, and ediable bbq. In my opinion, good TX brisket shouldn't need sauce at all. Sauce is for your bread (good sauce by the way).

I will give this place one more try, because I'm a nice guy and I know that everyday cannot always be your best. Doghouse, find a way to keep your product ready to plate and you got yourself a loyal customer.

MY REVIEW: Great BBQ every time I have stopped by. Love the smoke flavor of the brisket. I have had the brisket and the sausage, both very good - have not had a chance to try the ribs yet. We ordered a fully smoked brisket the week before Christmas - picked it up the day before Christmas eve at a great price! My wife loves their brisket more than the ones I smoke at home and its a lot easier!

MY REVIEW: Tender brisket, good seasoning, Pork ribs fall off the bone, and have a sweet flavor to them, Sausage on a Stick best in town, Both the chopped and sliced brisket sandwiches are great lots of meat and flavor all wrapped up in a soft warm bun. Ambiance - the great outdoors, Weak Points - not open during the week but they sure do make up for it on the weekends. All I can say is if you want real down home Texas style "Q", than the DogHouse is the place to go. You won't be sorry, just full!.
