Well I disagree ... they have GREAT food! Five of us ordered different lunch items and of course one ding dong dessert. Everyone was going mmmm and sharing bites,and then we had the ding dong .... Bravo Bake Shop! Friendly, moderately priced and great food. Next time I review I will be able to select the "everybody knows my name" box. We haven't made it to the food yet - just can't get past the Ding Dong Cakes. But, all the served food we noticed looked and smelled sooooo good. I think we're scared to try to the food before Ding Dongs because the portions of food looked huge. Afraid to spoil our appetite before dessert. The owners are the friendliest people in town. If you want to celebrate someone's birthday, pick up some solo Ding Dong cakes. You CAN'T go wrong. They are huge! We were turned on to these cakes by a friend and everyone we have shared these cakes with can't wait to get some for themselves, family and friends. So good I have had them cater lunches at my law office. However, the reason to go is to have Vic entertain you. Take your young child or grandchild and you won't be disappointed. My wife gets the chicken and dumplings everytime we go. I've had most everything else. As Vic would say, his crew of grandmothers in the back are really good cooks. Enjoy! Their lunches are great and I've also taken one of their (frozen) you-bake-it casseroles home for dinner. My husband was impressed. But, the best part is that EVERYONE is treated as though the owners and staff have known you all your life. I highly recommend trying this eatery, you'll see why after one vist. The cheesecake is out of this world, but must be ordered in advance. I only treat myself to cake a few times a year, and when I do, it's got to be from the Bake Shop. Their staff is friendly and all their baked goods are just delicious. The Ding-Dong Cake is one of their signature cakes. My girls always request it for their birthdays. I have also eaten in the cafe a few times and the sandwiches are fresh and made to order.
