MY REVIEW: Best Korean restaurant around. Everything is good. The homey atmosphere that others mention is real, they'll even sometimes play with your baby while you eat. If you get the spicy cuttlefish, beware, it has some serious heat! Overall fantastic, we're regulars.

MY REVIEW: This is a gem in the Clear Lake area. My husband and I have visited numerous times, and it is one of our go to places. My husband is half Korean, and is very familiar with Korean food as his mother always makes it. The food is just like homemade Korean food, fresh and delicious. There are always lots of Asian patrons who bring their families and are regulars. I think for a Korean restaurant, that is a good sign.
The restaurant is family owned and it is just charming. They are more than willing to point out the popular selections if you are not familiar with Korean food. I get the BBQ beef, which is basically thin strips of Korean BBQ beef w/ rice... simple but tasty. The steamed duplings are so great as well. Also, every table gets little dishes of vegetables and other items to eat w/ their meal. It's traditional Korean service, and its nice because everytime you get to try something different as the dishes are changed frequently. Also, the hot tea is served in charming little ceramic tea pots and tea cups.
This is a great, inexpensive, traditional Korean restaurant. I encourage people to stop by and give it a try. You will be pleasently surprised.

MY REVIEW: Ate at the restaurant while visiting the folks over the holidays. I have to say that despite not expecting much, I was still disappointed. The food was woefully under-spiced which I didn't think was a possibility in a Korean restaurant. The only half-way decent dish was the bibimbap. The bulgolgi was disappointing. The only positives were that the owners/servers were much more accomodating than I often find in Korean restaurants and the prices were decent.

MY REVIEW: Wonderful little Korean restaurant in the Southeast part of Houston! It doesn't have much of ambiance, almost none, but if you want to try some delicious Korean dishes and freidnly service. This is the place you must try. Highly recommend Korean BBQ for those who have never tried Korea food. You will be pleasantly surprised.

MY REVIEW: This is one of my favorite places to eat. When I first tried Korean BBQ, I was skeptical because I have never tried Korean food. Whether it is authentic or not, I am not sure BUT I have not tried anything on the menu that was not truly delightful. I cannot rave enough about the food. Everthing is made from fresh vegetables and each dish is made fresh when ordered. On a busy day, it may take a little longer than the average restaurant but well worth the wait. Not only is the food WONDERFUL but Mia, the owner, is very friendly and is sure to make everyone feel at home. I agree with those who stated it has a down home feel to it. Mia, treats everyone like family. She is also willing to tell answer any questions you may have about the dishes and make special accommodations to her dishes if you want something changed. This is a great place to eat for either lunch or dinner and children are welcome.

MY REVIEW: Awesome Korean restaurant. I lived in Korea for a year. This food is the same that I would have gotten there. Very authentic!!! The service is great. The owners really strive to meet and greet all the customers.

MY REVIEW: I'm of asian background and have a love for Korean food. I know all the Korean places in Houston. I was not fond of this place. The bulgogi was not what I expected. It had a lot of vegetables and not enough soy sauce and the meat was of poor quality. Bulgogi is suppose to taste like barbeque not taste like stir fry with liquid reserve. Will not go here again.

MY REVIEW: I love my Korean food!!!! This place is great!!!! The bulgogi and kalbi here is the best!!!! I have taken friends and family here. I first learned of this place by searching on the internet for Korean food in Houston. There really isn't much around here but this place is like heaven. I loved it since the moment that I walked in and I will continue coming here.
I agree with what the other's have said. It definitely has a home feel to it!!!! Anyone out there that loves to eat authentic Korean food or doesn't mind exploring new flavors should try this awesome place!!!

MY REVIEW: Our favorite Korean restaurant in the Houston area (one of the few outside the Beltway). What makes this place a gem among Asian restaurants is how welcome everyone feels. They are very accommodating and communicate with us entirely in English. They gladly explain the dishes and ingredients for the curious.
Besides the extremely friendly service and very clean surroundings, the primary draw is the authentic home-style cooking with emphasis on the very tasty but accessible (not exotic or adventurous, that is). The "standards" are executed wonderfully (see other reviews). They have also made special menu items, which makes the kids feel even more welcome. Lunch deals are terrific and we've even gone with more than a dozen folks (it's a small place with a half dozen booths and several tables).
The only downside is that they close on Sundays. We're a Korean-American family and go (way) out of our way to eat here because it appeals to our Eastern and Western sides.

MY REVIEW: You gotta try both the steamed and fried dumplings! Also tempura veggies are great. Don't know if it is a menu item, but we sampled beef fried rice that was very different from any fried rice I've ever had and by far the best!

MY REVIEW: This is the only Korean food for 40 miles and what a pleasant place it is on Eldorado, just a couple blocks east of Gulf Frwy. Food is always fresh and the place is kept spotless. "Mia" is owner and does most of the cooking. She tries to come out of the kitchen to personally greet each customer who then becomes her friend. Nice as she is, the real reason to come is for the food. I took a couple there who grew up in South Korea and they pronounced the fare as tasting like mom's home cooking. There always seems to be large Korean families there whenever I go. For me, who doesn't know alot about Korean food, that's a good sign that Korean BBQ is doing something right!

MY REVIEW: Korean BBQ Restaurant represents a 'hole-in-the-wall' place. It's a small restaurant located within a shopping center that offers wonderful tasting authentic food and quaint atmosphere. My coworker and I have been a couple of times and will be going back for more. Personally, I have only ordered the lunch boxes. They are cheap and there is plenty of food: main course (bento-box style), two different types of rice, kimchee, and fruit, along with the norm side dishes that you would get at any korean restaurant. Service is very friendly with a gigantic smile and the chef comes out to personally greet you as well! Overall, absolutely a gem of a restaurant hidden away in Clear Lake.

MY REVIEW: Here's a review from our second visit. We went on a Monday night and it was not crowded. The same wonderful atmosphere was there. Service was fast and friendly. The owner took time to talk to us again. This time we had the spicy pork. Wow was it good! I highly recommend it. The other dishes were good too. This place is a gem for good Korean food on the far southeast side of Houston.
We'll be going back!
A couple of other things to share: first, the restaurant is closed on Sundays, so don't try to visit it then. Second, the place does not serve alcohol. The owner joked to me that I could bring in my own beer if I wanted, and I think she was serious. :) She's a really nice lady.

MY REVIEW: We live in Clear Lake and love Korean food, so we were happy to see this place open up on Eldorado Blvd. this year. We visited it in the hopes of finding a good, close alternative to driving all the way over to west Houston.
The restaurant is very small, but it is clean and decorated with a quaint style. It feels asian without being TOO asian, if you know what I mean. It has a rather 'homey' feel, and the owner/manager came to wait on us personally and offer her suggestions. She also informed us that her kimchee is home-made, and none of her food contains MSG. I asked her why none of the tables have grills to let the diners cook their own meats (which is popular at the other Korean restaurants in Houston). She replied that it was too expensive to put in the required ventilation for table-grills. So don't go to this restaurant expecting to be able to cook your own meat at the table.
However, I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The menu is not overly big, but what is offered is prepared well. We had spicy beef and bulgogi, and it was good. The main courses come with all the little side dishes (just like the bigger Korean restaurants). The kimchee was excellent and we had seconds of it.
The price was not bad; comparable to what you will pay over in west Houston at the bigger Korean restaurants.
We left the restaurant happy and full. We plan to go back. I recommend this place, especially if you are new to Korean food. It's also great for those of you who live in the Clear Lake/Friendswood/Galveston area.
P.S. This place also offers $7 lunch boxes if you want to stop by for lunch.
