MY REVIEW: They were open for lunch a few days in Decemeber, so we brought a lot of money and stopped in. The steak was absolutely melt in your mouth and cooked perfectly. Service was excellent and the dessert and sides were also superb. Strangley, the blue cheese caesar and soup were mediocre at best. A mixed review, but with dinner prices at lunch I expected perfection.

MY REVIEW: I had a reservation for 7:45 PM on a Friday night. Place was modestly busy - I noticed a private party but the main dining room was about 50% full. I was disappointed by the service here despite this Morton's being open for a little over a month. We were seated and our waiter seemed to disappear for minutes at a time. It left us looking around at other tables. It is frustrating to see other couples come in after you and get seated, have their orders taken and get drinks before you do. For the price you pay at Morton's and the relatively high reputation it has for service and food, we weren't keen on the fact that we had a tray of used dishes that were cleared off of another table near us placed right beside our booth.

Food: The bisque was amazing. I enjoyed it greatly. I had a filet 8 oz I believe and it came out medium rare instead of the medium well I had asked for. I think you can get a better steak a couple blocks away at V*ic & Anthony's or even S*triphouse.

The management was attentive after we voiced our concerns and offered us a few complimentary appetizers and after dinner drink selections. They were very professional and I think genuinely concerned with our criticisms. This may have been new restaurant jitters but I do hope that they smooth some service issues over b/c downtown patrons expect a higher level of service.
