MY REVIEW: I love this place. it is the best sushi you can get for the money. although my most sublime sushi experiences have been at more expensive places (U*ptown Sushi, Sushi K*ing) Ichiban is always very good. we sometimes eat here twice a week. their miso soup is fantastic. it's simple with a perfect combo of texture and flavor. i no longer have chicken noodle soup if i feel a cold coming on, i go straight for ichiban's miso soup. and unlike chicken noodle soup i actually think it works. i can't even begin to say how exceptioanl the staff/owners are.

MY REVIEW: My wife and I came on the suggestion of a co-worker. This restaurant is awesome.
The service is excellent. Since this was our first time here, we tried a variety of food. All of the food was excellent. The restaurant is small only about 10 tables. So get there early on the weekends. The place fills up fast. Their prices are reasonably inexpensive.
If you are looking for excellent sushi at reasonable prices, this is the place to eat. We will be back again soon.

MY REVIEW: I was on my way to another sushi restaurant, but this was the closer one to my work place. I'm glad I stopped in because I'm on a tight budget and this place was inexpensive. It's no K*ubos, but it does alright. The staff is very kind. I was really cold, and I didn't have to say anything to the staff, but they noticed right away and turned down the air for me and asked if it was better like that. I love how it's small and the staff is very attentive.

MY REVIEW: Casual, mom-and-pop place with great food and good price. I didn't try their sushi yet, just some spicy tuna & salmon rolls, and they were good. Very spicy! I like that they have several small (and cheap) appetizer dishes, and that the atmosphere was casual, almost like fast food. You feel like you can just swing by anytime without dressing up.
Their tapioca drinks were good, a bit sweet, but not as sweet as other establishments.
I would definitely come back again very soon to try out their sushi ($1 or $1.50 except for some higher-end pieces like fresh shrimp and white tuna). I also like the cold tofu (hiyayakko) for $2.50, a whole plate of vegetable tempura for about $5. Good place to get a quick bite on Japanese food. They also have a lot of noodle dishes as well.

MY REVIEW: Their milk tea tapioca is awesome! I get so many cravings for it. It's the right balance of tea, sugar, and milk (nicely chilled). The tapioca balls are the right consistency, they only feel overdone by the end of the night when they've been soaking for a while. The staff is friendly and the service is great! All at a great price!

MY REVIEW: Good food, friendly staff, good prices. Third visit in 2 weeks, food has always been good. Would certainly recommend this place, if you're good food in a clean mom n pop type establishment.

MY REVIEW: Two thumbs up!!! I love this place!!!
My co-workers and I eat here almost every Tuesday, since they are closed on Mondays. This tiny, but cozy, restaurant is quite clean. The sushi is very fresh. Not only is the sushi great, the soups and lunch specials are as well. As soon as we walk in the door, the staff knows who we are. They may not know what all our names are, but they know what we usually order. The service is excellent even when they are very busy (They usually are on Tuesdays). Sometimes we have a big group for lunch, we order ahead and the food is ready by the time we get there. I spend about $18 w/tip. It's worth every dollar.
So, if you're in the Sugar Land area (Hwy 6), stop in to see what I'm talkin' about. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy!
