MY REVIEW: The best Chinese food hands down in Katy and most of Houston. You can order it how you like it too! If you don't like a certain veggie, just ask them to leave it off. My favorites are Sesame Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Garlic Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Egg Foo Young, and Hot and Sour Soup to name a few. I am allergic to seafood so I couldn't tell you about that. Great food and great service! You won't be disappointed! They have fast delivery too especially if you live close by.

MY REVIEW: Good Chinese food is hard to find. But in Katy, Texas there is Chang's. I tried it today and was so pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, especially the Egg Rolls. Seems as if making good Egg Rolls is a lost art in most places. They seem to purchase the pre-made ones from some vendor. Virtually no taste and terrible texture. Chang's are very tasty, crunchy, and so very delicious. The service is very attentive, the dining area is clean and nice, and the menu has variety without being too fancy. Their fried rice is very good and the portion is huge. Overall, I will would recommend Chang's to anyone that loves good Chinese food and wants a value for their dining buck.

MY REVIEW: Really good fresh food.Big portions,at least when dinning in the restaurant. We ordered pick up as they do not deliver? The food was good but half the size of what you get when you dine in. Not sure I would order pick up again. The tables could be a bit bigger, we order a lot of food and there is never enough room to fit the food on the table. Also I really wish they would add some duck to the menu! Overall we would rate it 4 out of 5 stars!

MY REVIEW: Ok soooo I can't tell you how the food tastes because I ordered delivery service LITERALLY an hour and a half ago and I STILL don't have my food. I called them twice and they say, "Thank you for your patients." Hmmm sounds like they have had this problem before more than once!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOO

MY REVIEW: OK Changs is hands down one of the best chinese food restraunts around. They are awesome dine in or take out. The people there are really friendly and I have never had a problem 1 with service. I have always been treated like family any time i have eaten there. Ive seen in other reveiws that people say bad things about this place so why are they going back (ie i usually eat lunch there?) I think because their full of it and just want to give a really great place a bad name or just wanting to have somthing to say. regardless this place is the best chinese fod around peroid.

MY REVIEW: We order delivery or take out from Changs at least once a week. They have wonderful thick brothed hot and sour soup that in my opinion is very close to PF Ch*ngs. Their egg rolls are to die for (which in my opinion makes or breaks the chinese restaurant) and what we really like is that they have dinner specials similar to other places lunch specials where you get soup, egg roll and fried or steamed rice included. When you try to buy all that stuff seperate you get a heafty bill. Changs is reasonably priced and everything is made to order and always delicious. I have no complaints about this restaurant.

MY REVIEW: I have been to Chang's numerous times and have never had a bad experience. The egg rolls are awesome! All dishes have come out hot and in goodly portions. It is a bit loud in there - not the best for a quiet dinner. But the food is well worth the noise.

MY REVIEW: I usually go for lunch. The food is pretty good however the service is so-o-o bad. All the wait staff run around like chickens with their heads cut off. They are not friendly and throw the plates down on the table. You never get tea refills unless you ask. Last time I went, 3 tables that got seated after me were done eating their meal before ours was even served. No one seems to know what's going on. I don't think I will go back anytime soon.

MY REVIEW: We arrived about 8:00p.m. Very few people in the restaurant, but we had to wait while the waiter argued with a waitress over a problem with another table. Food came quickly, and initially tasted good. However, we were suddenly overcome by the fumes from disinfectant in the kitchen. We always thought taste and smell were linked. Apparently that's not a concept this restaurant understands. The meal was ruined. We could not taste the food. The manager's response was to tell us that the floors have to be cleaned before the restaurant closes at 9:30p.m. This is now 8:30??? We will never eat here again and would not recommend it to anyone. Awful experience.

MY REVIEW: After not visiting for a few weeks, I decided to give this place another try. The first thing that happened was two of the waitresses starting fighting (in Chinese) over my table. Simultaneously, neither of them waited on me. When I finally got a chance to ask for an iced tea, a water was dumped on my table and I was forgotten for a while. I then had to get the attention of a 3rd waitress to order. The soup came out simultaneous to the entree, which was left to sit and get cold. This visit was my absolute last.

MY REVIEW: After reading the reviews about the service dated back in 2007, I wanted to update the discussion. Having been there a few times now, and taking others with me for lunch, service has improved considerably. The waitress was very attentive - maybe they are reading these reviews and trying to improve on this. The food is always FRESH and quick. The price for lunch is reasonable and you get more than you need at that time. I especially liked the chicken asparagus - so crisp and fresh!

MY REVIEW: I think the food is pretty good. I've had better. But I would recommend the "Moo Shee" (they spell it this way on their menu), the egg rolls and ribs. The one problem I have is the rice. The food portions are good for the price, but the rice is never enough to go with the food. It's also never cooked properly. It's hard. The correct way to serve rice with any Asian dinner is to serve what is called "sticky rice." It's hot, not hard, and it sticks together. Chang's rice reminds me of uncooked Uncle Ben's. Anyway, if they could change the rice, it would be a nice place to eat.

MY REVIEW: I have been to Chang's a number of times and was at first impressed how the flavors of the soups and sauces exploded in your mouth. But lately, not so much. It seems to be getting a bit more bland and pastuerized. Now, the crab puffs did seem to have a little something extra (mint?) for a finishing flavor, but the hot and sour soup and the sesame chicken just weren't as flavorful as in the past. Still pretty good, just not as good. I don't see any problems with service or friendliness. They were very busy last Friday night but they were attentive to our needs.

MY REVIEW: I'm still in withdrawals from my neighborhood favorite (H*ong Kong) closing in October, 2007. I've tried Chang's 5 times since then. Mostly with work associates, but once solo for lunch. The atmosphere is very noisy. The acoustics are terrible. Not a good place for conversation and "settling in" for a good meal. Twice, I have risen to locate the pitcher of tea to pour it for myself. Once you order, they forget about you. The entire scene seems rushed. The manager NEVER SMILES and NEVER makes eye contact. The staff does not interact with the clientele at all; they just go through the motions of serving and clearing the table for the next paying customer. I have never been greeted upon entry or exit. The ONLY reason I continue to return is that other restaurants in the area cook with cabbage or celery, which have distinct tastes of their own, and which, in my opinion, are not as good in chinese dishes as bok choy, which is a chinese cabbage. Chang's is the only place I have found that uses bok choy in their dishes. Again, I miss H*ONG KONG desperately!

MY REVIEW: We live around the corner from Chang's so we had to try it out. My son liked his General Tso's chicken and I had a beef/chicken/shrimp combo that was above average. Two dinners and two waters, our bill was just over $15 - not bad! We both commented that the egg rolls were very good.
Lots of complaints here about bad service but we had a nice smiley Asian lady who was very attentive (only three other occupied tables during our visit). Having travelled to Asia, the smile-less-ness of the staff could be a cultural thing. There was a tall beautiful older lady at the door who NEVER smiled as far as I could see ... Maybe they'll warm up to us white folk some day!
Since we had a good experience, we'll likely be back.
