The Path of Tea
2340 W Alabama St, Houston, Texas 77098
MY REVIEW: First Visit. Order: Kagoshima Sencha, Ancient Tou Cha Black, and Sparrows Tongue.
Experience: Just amazing, the atmosphere was was calm, quiet, and peaceful. I personally love tea above any other kind of beverage and this place is perfect for someone like me. The owner was extremely knowledgeably, but that is to be expected from a certified Tea Master, she also recommended all three tea I drank that day. The tea was great, amazing really, and the fact that there all organic is the best. Two thumbs up, I well absolutely be back.

MY REVIEW: I love the Path of Tea. I have visited alot of other tea shops but this one is the only one I go to on a regular basis. It is clean, beautiful, peaceful, uplifting, and has the best selection of tea I have ever seen. It is important to me that the teas are all organic. The owners are knowledgeable and helpful. I love the people who frequent this place. This is more than a tea shop. It is community. We need a place like this to go and be accepted for who we are - all while we have the best cup of tea in town. You gotta go!

MY REVIEW: I love this tea house. The tea is wonderful and there is such a large selection. I love the sniffing bar that they have, if you're not sure what you want, you can go to the sniffing bar to help you make your final selection. I also love that it's right next door to a lovely vegetarian restaurant where you can order food and get it taken over to the tea place. Staff is very helpful and know their teas. Love it!!

MY REVIEW: This is a unique little place, a wonderful respite from the crazy world. I had a pot of tea and a lemon bar, and if I'd known about the vegetarian restaurant next door (I think it's F*ield of Greens??), I would have ordered a meal. The veggie restaurant has an agreement with the Path of Tea; you can order your sandwich at the restaurant and then go next door with it. Have a sammich and then a pot of tea and dessert! People there seem to strike up conversations spontaneously...it's like Cheers for the tea crowd...what could be better...I'll be back!

MY REVIEW: The Path of Tea is a welcome respite in Houston's overrated coffee-house scene. One could give endless accolades to the quality and variety of tea presented in a sniffing bar, the unique 'pick your teacup' wall, or the homemade desserts (especially the unbelievable lemon bars).
But what makes The Path of Tea unique is the serenity you find in this simply laid out tearoom. The owners will surely learn your name on your first visit, and likely be one more reason you find yourself ‘swinging by’ after work. If you don't remember what blend is your favorite, don't worry, they keep a log for you.

MY REVIEW: i have always said that with all the coffeehouses we have here in H'town we need a teahouse............the path of tea is lovely and there are many varie'teas'...however the atmosphere does not quite allow for the sipper who wants to relax over a book or chat with friends............nor do we have the pleasure of the perfect tea service as perfected by the Japanese geisha....i can still hope

MY REVIEW: I went in to buy tea seats as gifts. They had a very nice selection and the owner was very friendly, knowledgable and provided personalized attention. The atmosphere is very serene as a tea shop should be compared to the clamor fo your typical coffee shop. I loved the warmer that the tea is served in.

MY REVIEW: The Path of Tea is wonderful. All the teas are freshly brewed. There is a tea smelling station to help you chose what tea you would like. I tried the White Chocolate Truffel Tea, which I highly recommend. DELICIOUS!! A husband and wife own the shop and are extremely helpful and nice. They also carry specialty chocolates and deserts.

MY REVIEW: I find A Path of Tea very calming. I have taken several friends there just to relax and enjoy each others company. The teas are all fresh and they have a tea bar of which you may smell the teas to decide on which flavor you would like. A great idea. The owners are very friendly. They have fresh baked scones everyday.

MY REVIEW: Open one week only and we have visited four times. Peaceful, quiet, Oriental Tea Room with over 150 varieties of tea, none are "name brand" teas. Condusive to quiet conversation (no cell phones, please.) Tea by the cup, the pot, or bulk to go, standard or customized blends from the varieties available. (It puts "calm" back in a "dot-com" world....
