MY REVIEW: WONDERFUL!

We've lived in Copperfield forever and we're actually bummed we haven't discovered this place sooner. Manny is great and so very friendly. We talked about the restaurant, his family and his home in Greece.

We ordered: Half order of hummus, Favorite gyro, Chicken pita, fries and chips. Manny suprised us with drinks on the house and a Greek salad with homemade dressing. EVERYTHING was delicious.

The restaurant is very quaint and nicely decorated.

The prices are amazing, the service is amazing and the food is amazing. You won't be disappointed.

We will be going back and will soon be able to upgrade to "Everybody knows my name..."

MY REVIEW: We go almost every Friday, and make quite a bit of noise. Let me just go ahead and apologize if you're there on a Thursday or Friday when our group shows up. Anyway, everything I've had is pretty darn good. The Gyro Club is great to share with someone.

The best, by far though, is when Manny introduced me to his Fire Fries last week. Fries with tsatsiki and hot sauce!!! Awesome!!!

Ask Manny for a suggestion from his menu, and it's usually pretty good.

MY REVIEW: The Gyros are the best I have had in Houston. I love the Hummus which is very fresh and flavorful. Manny is a great guy with lots of personality.

Highly recommend.

MY REVIEW: The Gyro is to die for, easily the best Gyro in town. I promise you it is better than any other Greek restaurant in town.

The food and service is great, it is such a breath of fresh air going to a small, privatively owned restaurant out in the suburbs than going to the restaurant chains.

MY REVIEW: This has become a favorite spot for my family. We love Greek food and Manny's is a great place to get it. Our last visit was this past Friday night. The food was well-prepared and hot. The small wait staff was polite and attentive, and the place (including the restrooms) was clean. Manny seems to have a big take-out business as we watched many folks come and go with to-go orders.

My only "complaint" is the hours of operation. 7pm is an early closing time and we do wish he would stay open at least another hour or so. Folks would then not feel pressured to eat so early.

MY REVIEW: WOW! Is how I feel everytime I eat a gyro from Manny's :) He wasn't there when I visited last, but he usually has been. It's just the kind of mom and pop place this side of town needs. I'm glad to see it's still around.

MY REVIEW: I hadn't been to Manny's in a long time. It was just delightful. A wonderful calm atmosphere, wonderful food and Manny walking around talking to everyone! The Greek salad was better than ever and his homemade lemony dressing was just perfect.

MY REVIEW: This place is great!!! I have not had one bad item. Tonight I had the Veggie Pita and it was as good as the Gyro. Manny is very nice and pleasant no matter the time of day. Both my husband I love this place and are so pleased it is so close to our home.

MY REVIEW: They have very good gyros and dolmades. The yogurt dips are good, too. I wish they were open on Sundays and stayed open a little later on Saturdays. We always get the takeout. Good food. Too bad there aren't any real nice Greek restaurants in the Copperfield area, but this will do for now.

MY REVIEW: If you want a fancy restaurant with atmosphere and high prices go elsewhere. If you want good Greek (and Italian) food at reasonable prices in a plain cafe try Manny's. I had the gyro club, which was enough for two people and it was excellent. My wife had the appetizer plate which she liked. She has some dietary restrictions that Manny (the owner) graciously accomodated.

Even though we got there a few minutes before closing (not realizing it) Manny served us without saying a thing about us being late. After locking the front door Manny sat down at the next table and talked with us for awhile. He's a great host and serves great food. He said he does most of his business at lunch. They will start staying open later starting this month. I'm sure I will be eating there a lot in the future. Try it, you'll like it!

MY REVIEW: Go with a friend, and get the BIG gyro plate. Good luck saving some room for Baklava or the half-dozen other deserts! Don't miss the coffee and espresso drinks. There are 3 other Greek restaurants within ten miles, but if you like good food and attention to detail, you'll end up here as often as the others combined!

MY REVIEW: Wow! What a great place! I went with relatives who suggested that if I wanted the best Greek food, that this was the place to go. They were right! It was spectacular. The homemade sauces, warm pitas, rich coffee and delicious desserts were every bit as wonderful as they described. If you haven't been to Manny's you should definitely give it a try! Whenever I want Greek food now here in Houston, I make the drive to Hwy 6. Also, if you haven't met Manny himself...this is a must. He makes the dining experience there that much better. Warm and friendly and welcoming, like you're part of the family! Highly highly recommended!!

MY REVIEW: As I Chicago native, who grew up going to Greek Town (S. Halsted St.) restaurants from childhood, I know Greek food. This is my new place to go for Gyros in the Copperfield area. The place down Highway 6 in Bear Greek has fine Gyros, but it's such a dirty and run-down place, and it doesn't have as good an overall menu as Manny's, and Manny's is such a personable fellow. I wish his all the best, hope his business increases, I think it will.

MY REVIEW: I come here every weekend and I love it...... Manny is friendly, welcoming, the food is great, decoration is spot on, the food is a bit expensive such as a meal with a gyro, fries, and a drink, which is like $10 (I wouldn't pay $10 for that). Just a gyro is about $5 which I think is worth it because it tastes great. Anyways, if you haven't tried Manny's you have to, it's the best place for authentic Greek food and the service is great too.

MY REVIEW: Outstanding value for a small shop. Manny is a real person with an interesting story. Get to know his story. Get the gyro club for lunch - feeds two people very very well.

MY REVIEW: Manny's is one of our favorite places to eat. It is owned by Manny Yiakras, a native of Greece. We would put his food up against any other Greek restaurant in town! The classic meal is the Gyro sandwich, a warm grilled pita filled with yummy Gyro meat, onions, tomatoes, and made-from-scratch tzatziki sauce. It is awesome! Manny makes all of his hummus, tzatziki, pasta sauces, and desserts fresh and from scratch.

If you haven't eaten here before, it is certainly worth the drive!
