MY REVIEW: We just tried Paciugo for the first time because we had a Groupon. Wow, it was excellent. I've been to Italy and enjoyed gelato there, and this is a nice reminder of my trip to Europe. The owner was raised in Italy, so this is authentic stuff. They have a great selection of flavors, and their signage states that it has 70% less fat than ice cream. Somehow it still has an incredibly rich, creamy texture. I got the medium-sized cup, and they'll let you fill it with up to 4 different flavors. I love that you get to enjoy a variety. I had a combo of dark chocolate, roasted cashew and banana, pistachio, and peanut butter. Really wonderful, and the service was very friendly. They'll let you try samples before you order. My husband had the affogato, but since he's not a coffee lover, they made it with chocolate instead of coffee. He loved it. The interior is cute and has seating available. There are several other flavors I look forward to trying. They change their flavors daily, so there's always something new available. We'll definitely be back.

MY REVIEW: After having the best gelato of my life in Rome I was thrilled Paciugo was coming to Houston. My hopes were soon dashed after actually tasting their offerings. I have now been here half a dozen times, each time hoping that it will get better. It never does. The sorbetto is edible, but the gelato is tasteless and in some cases tastes completely artificial to me. If you must go here, stick with the non-milk (sorbet) offerings.

MY REVIEW: It's like the gelato you'd get in Italy...at the sorry touristy places, where no Italian steps foot, happily avoiding volume-made stuff from a factory.
The production values are here at Paciugo (to a fault, I say) but good-quality gelato? Well, you won't find it here. And you'll pay a lot to discover that. Better bets: B*lack Walnut (avoid the food) or N*undini on Shepard (try the sandwiches and buy some cold-cuts).
Note: Paciugo is a slight step up from that other 'gelato' franchise, P*iccomolo, which lingers in the Houston suburbs, shaming forever the word gelato.

MY REVIEW: This was my first time in Paciugo and I really liked it! Now I am not a gelato connisseur but as far as ice cream goes-this was delicious to me! The girl behind the counter was so friendly and told us about everything & also was more than happy to give us many samples! There was so much to choose from-gelato, sorbet & sugarfree, dairy free things as well. I got a small cup & my friend got a small cone & the price was $7.57. So it wasnt bad at all. The place was very inviting to me & I cant wait to go back & bring other friends & co-workers!

MY REVIEW: Sorry to burst the bubble--decor, help outstanding, but the gelato is just not that good or authentic, lacking taste and texture. I would go back because Houston lacks a better place.

MY REVIEW: When I read some mixed reviews on this place, I was skeptical. But after trying the gelato, I loved it. I am pretty picky about gelato, having tasted some of the best in Rome, but this hold up pretty well. I have tried the pistachio, hazelnut (nocciolo) and several types of chocolate and caramel and all have been really really good. Stay away from the lowfat/no sugar stuff and you will be OK.

MY REVIEW: OH my God, I love this place. I lived in Europe for 7 years and all our ice cream over there is gelato and I missed it so much. It tastes so much better than regular ice cream and it doesn't give you that heavy feeling after you eat it because it is made with milk instead of cream.
I went there first time on Monday and it was so good that I went back again on Saturday and I don't live close to oit. You can try 4 or 5 different flavors in one cup and you can sample them before you choose too. I always get the Straciatella (chocolate chip) and one or two of the water-based ones. The passion fruit and the wildberry are awesome!!!
The staff is nice and friendly, and I love this place and I love gelato, please go there.

MY REVIEW: I may be the minority but, I was really underwhelmed by the gelato here. I had gone with great expectations, as I had been reading about this place prior to its opening. But the gelato is not spectacular. At best, it is just okay.

MY REVIEW: I had anxiously awaited the opening as I was a regular in Dallas where this started. (Central Market in Dallas has a Paciugo counter.). You owe
it to yourselves to try this. It is fantastic! They let you try samples to determine what you want--I've never been disappointed. 10 stores are slated to open in the Houston area. Thank goodness it is 5 miles from my home or I would be as a big as a house!!!

MY REVIEW: The best part of a trip to Italy is the gelato, but until this shop opened it has been impossible to find good, authentic gelato in Houston. P*iccomolo is just awful - this place ROCKS! I stumbled upon it by accident one day, and now I'm telling eveyone I know about it! Delicious real Italian flavors like torrone, stracciatella, and all the fruity flavors I loved in Italy (especially the melon and green apple - YUM)! Line was OUT THE DOOR at 10pm last Saturday night - don't let that deter you, stand in that line. Let's hope they open a few more branches in Houston - I live in Jersey Village so this place is a trek for me, but worth it!

MY REVIEW: When I read the reviews of this place I was convinced the owner or an employee wrote them all. But as someone who loves gelato I decided to find out for myself. It was wonderful!!! Smooth, rich, creamy, and with a variety of unusual and fun flavors! I thought it was great and can't wait to return. I had the hazelnut mocha.

MY REVIEW: I had heard about gelato from a Fox26 spot last week and went to try it. I was thrilled to see the beautical case displays of the gelato. My favorite was strawberry and basalmic vinegar. I was skeptical at first but the owner, an Italian, pursuaded me to try it. Wow!!! Wonderful and guilt-free! It was a water-based gelato and completely fat-free. You have got to try this place--in the Kroger shopping center at Buffalo Speedway and Westpark. You will love it--take the kids too--they have something for everyone! A+++

MY REVIEW: If you have never had gelato you MUST try this place. My husband and I saw a segment on Paciugo with fox news and decided that very day to go try it. We did not realize it was not opening until the next day on July 4th, however the owner was very friendly and welcomed us in to sample some of thier delicious gelato. The show case was beautiful, very colorful. ALL the flavers we sampled were wonderful Some were very exotic and unusual, some were traditional Italian and American flavers. Paciugo is owned by a family from Italy. This is their first location in Houston, We will be going back soon!!!

MY REVIEW: I was in HEAVEN!!! They have the best Gelato in town. I heard about this shop on Fox26 News and had to see for myself. I am originally from California and they have gelato shops everywhere there. Every new city I visit, I like to try their local gelato shop just to compare which ones are the best, so I can recommend to my friends and family. I have been looking for a real good gelato shop in Houston but have not come across one yet, until I came to Paciugo Gelato. I came on July 3rd, they were not official open yet but I did get a chance to sample their gelato. The gelato was smooth and velvety, the flavors were rich and intense. They have an aray of exotic flavor that I can't wait to try. Your tastebuds will definitely "thank you". Once you go gelato you may never go back to ice cream... I strongly recommend Paciugo Gelato. A+ rating
