Urban Chef - Cooking Classes

MY REVIEW: My Department did a Team Building Activity here at Urban Chef ... what a fantastic experience! We had a group of 14 doing a Spanish Cooking class making Paella and various Tapas. Chara Gafford was exceptional working with us to pull this activity together, and she clearly loves to teach as evidenced by her comfortable manner and enthusiasm. Urban Chef easily tops the list of the few places in Houston to offer this kind of thing by making this activity very hands-on rather than just stand around and watch. I highly recommend them for a group or even just for a couple of people.

MY REVIEW: Living in such a large urban environment such as Houston, it is often hard to fell a sense of community. Urban Chef delivers just such an atmosphere for fostering community. The Chef, Chara Gafford, welcomes you into her kitchen and shares her knowledge of food and culture. I enjoyed learning some new recipes and cooking techniques, but what I enjoyed the most the sit-down meal afterwards and the chance to interact with others. My husband and I went to the cooking class together and it made for a fun date. We hope to go back some time soon.
