MY REVIEW: strong points: The restaurant is clean, open until midnight, service friendly, and the prices are reasonable.

weak points: The food was kind of bland. I had a samosa, saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, and paratha. The food wasn't bad at all, it just wasn't as flavorful as it could have been. Also, the saag paneer was a little more "spinachy" in flavor than what I'm used to (but this might be a good thing to someone else).

overall: Worth a try if you're out late and desperately want Indian. There were several other things on the menu to try which may have been better (including chinese food). I give it a 3/5.

MY REVIEW: This restaurant replaces a nice Vietnamese restaurant that was previously in the same place. Bombay Garden has really made the space look a lot more inviting and nice, however small it may be.

The food was quite good. Some dishes were lacklustre, such as the potato pancake appetizer (a nice sauce is needed to make it better) but otherwise the main dishes were flavorful. My wife and I would have preferred the dishes to be a lot hotter too, but we'll ask them specifically to up the spicy heat level next time. One thing about this: the menu has no Madras, but it does have a Vindaloo, which we think of as unfortunate.

Similar to the previous reviewer, we were pleased with the mix of Indian and Indian/Chinese dishes. I don't like Chinese food but enjoyed the chicken chili my wife ordered. Similarly she isn't a big fan of Indian food of late and liked the Chinese oriented alternatives.

Another strong thing about this restaurant is that the staff were wonderful. The waitress entertained the children at the next table over for a few minutes when they were starting to get a bit unruly. She did a good job.

MY REVIEW: I have eaten lunch at the Hillcroft location at least 20 times since it is close to my place of work. The Mason road location just opened and my wife and I tried it since it is only about a mile from our house. (As a side note I find it odd that after 12 years of living in Cinco Ranch without any Indian Restaurants in area two opened about the same time only a couple of blocks from each other. I hope there is enough business for both restaurants to prosper.)

The people operating the restaurant are very friendly and the service was very good. I enjoy the Chinese-Indian "fusion" style of cooking very much. My wife is not a big fan of Indian food, but she enjoyed the fresh nan (flat bread) very much and did not find the entrees too spicy for her taste. The entrees are about $10 each.

I am told they have a lunch buffet at this location that is similar to the Hillcroft location. I recommend your trying this option if you are able. This gives each diner a chance to try >10 dishes at a price less than $10. My personal favorite is the chicken lollipop.

The decor of the restaurant is pretty nice for a "strip shopping center" restaurant.
