Although at other restaurants I avoid ordering sesame chicken or sweet-n-sour pork, because they will use sub-standard cuts of meat, I find only quality meats in every dish I have ordered. Their daily lunch specials are a bargain. The friendly staff is attentive and the owner shows she truly cares about her patrons. This is not your typical greasy buffet fried food. Well, when we call up there to ask if we were in their delivery radius, we got an abrupt "We don't deliver". Okay, fine. We decide to order anyway and pick it up. I got the steamed chicken and broccoli and egg drop soup. My husband got the Kung Po (yes, "Po") and hot and sour soup. This was proabably the worst chinese we'd had yet. The entrees had NO flavor whatsoever. Extremely bland. The hot and sour soup was way too sweet that it was inedible and the egg drop soup had tons of corn so it tasted like I was eating pureed cream of corn soup and not egg drop. Very strange. Anyway, sorry to say but we won't be back. We usually give restaurants a second chance but this was so bad that we don't want to waste another meal. Always fresh and hot. Teriyaki Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Shredded Pork... all fantastic. Their crab puffs are mostly cream cheese - as is the case with most restaurants. Won ton soup is fantastic. We love Red Phoenix!!
