The place is clean with decent decoration and light music. The owner is waiting the tables herself every night, talk about service! Rest assured you will be taken care of and be prepare for the bonus. The owner lady brings out bonus dishes at NO CHARGE from time to time. MY REVIEW: We were introduced to this place by a friend and was pleasantly surprised! What makes it even nicer is that we live fairly close to the Richmond/Rosenberg area so it's a hop, skip and a jump from where we are! The decor is nice and the service has been pretty good the few times we have visited. But what really makes this place shine are the prices and the amount of food you get for your money! The Bento boxes are huge! The portions are generous and you always leave feeling pretty full! The sushi has always been fresh and well presented and the Udon was a big treat! I love those big fat noodles and the hot warm soup is perfect for these cold weather days we've been having. Since we live so close this place will most likely be a regular haunt! It's been awhile since I've reviewed any restaurants on this site but this particular one stood out! Before discovering this place about the only decent place to get good sushi in the Sugar Land area was K*ona Grill. I love K*ona but what attracted me to J & K is the friendly service and the quality of the food..but most especially the price! For your money you can't beat it! The manager always knows when I come in and asks where my mom is b/c I look so much lik her. Our eyes are always bigger than our stomachs and we ahve a great time. The place has a great feel about it even if it is located in Rosenburg (which can be a down fall). My boyfirend is a super sushi lover, I mean 15-20 pieces of sushi every time was go and he has never once had a bad piece!! Great palce for a family dinner...just in time for Lent season!! Enjoy!
