MY REVIEW: Just reading the reviews before I go for their Sunday brunch. Just noted the reviews about bad service. So, it's true. We usually go to the Katy Mills and Old Katy location and always get the best service. The one time we happened to go to the Clay Road location, we did get bad service. And I was tellling my husband to be patient and be a good example for our kids, but for real, we sat there for a good 10 to 15 min and had to flag down a waiter before anybody even attended to us. It was around 2 pm, the restaurant was not busy, so, I did not understand what the problem was. Between trying to discipline my irritated husband and still trying to make our family day a peaceful one, the food finally arrived (which is always good) and the manager kept going back to our table to make sure everything was fine. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to go back to the Katy Mills and Old Katy locations (my favorite eversince and it seems like this location has the best food and service though the place itself needs some renovation, but I still love it).

MY REVIEW: This review is for the Pearland location only, we have only been to another one once, so I don't want to review that one.
We go here a lot. When I say a lot, I mean usually at least once a week. They have the best chips and salsa (red and green) that I have had at a Mexican restaurant, hands down. I have had probably half of the dishes on the menu and I have NEVER been disappointed.
The thing that I love the most about this place is that you can go on a Friday or Saturday night at 7:00 and don't have to wait for a seat. I won't go to places like o*l!ve g@rden on busy nights because you can wait for an hour just to get a seat.
Our favorite waiter doesn't work there anymore, but when he did we usually had him unless he wasn't working. Even still, we have never had bad service.
I love this place, one of my favorite in all of houston and it's within walking distance of my house... lucky me!

MY REVIEW: I have eaten here about 6 times since it is close to my office. The food is usually pretty good but some dishes are much better than others. The spiciness can vary on the same dish at different visits. The thing that bothers me is the wait staff can be very accomodating and other times it is almost like they are doing you a favor by serving you. Today was the latter. The waiter was the most unfriendly person I think I have ever encountered. The only time he spoke to me was to tell me I could move over to the next table since the table I was at was very wobbly. Never came back to check on the meal, ask about dessert, etc. And it is me or what is the deal with not giving back your coin change. They round up to the nearest dollar and do not give the correct change back. May be a way to help their tip since they surely do not deserve 15%.

MY REVIEW: The strong point to this is that it is relatively close. I have visited a couple of times. The food was just OK. The service last night was not so good. We went about 830pm wed night not at all busy. Seated immediately in a booth not far from the kitchen doors. My margarita on the rocks with salt was served ungarnished without salt and tasted like soapy water. The sizzling platter that my companion had ordered was placed on the table without warning. Burned finger and returned drink later I wondered what was up with this place. The problem seems to be that it is going the way of many of the franchised places along 290 that seem to be geared to a get em in and get em out lunch crowd mentality. We felt more like unwelcome intruders than paying guests. If the manager who was on duty had thought to stop and ask I might have told him. Unfortunately we had very little interaction with anyone outside our server who didnt really seem to care at all. Wont be back. Sad as this would be a go to place for convenience even if the food was just so so.

MY REVIEW: We visited on a Sunday afternoon after church to try something different than our usual places. The restaurant was not overly busy, but the vast majority of tables were occupied. We were seated immediately. The service was extremely slow. Not only did it take a very long time for the food to come out, but we often had to flag the waiter down because of empty drinks and when we needed our check.
In many restaurants I am willing to wait for excellent food, but here we were disappointed after the long wait. My rice and enchilada were both cold. My wife's shrimp tasted very fishy and she did not eat them. We both had fajitas and the tortillas were actually crispy around the edges like chips. You could try to roll them, but they would usually crack. I have never seen anything like it before. We had plenty of left overs and left them on the table. The waiter did not seem the least bit surprised that we declined a to-go box.
I made the mistake of using the restroom facilities and was sorely disappointed to have to stand in a puddle of urine to do so. It was nice that there was a wet floor sign, but it was obviously not wet from being mopped recently. I only wish I had made that visit before ordering as we would have left immediately.
On a positive note, the kids seemed satisfied with their quesadillas, and the fajita beef had a great flavor.
Overall, it took one hour and fifty minutes for a family of four to eat here at a not-very-busy time. We were probably only there about fifteen minutes after our food arrived. We are never going back as there are too many other excellent choices nearby.

MY REVIEW: Everytime I go here I am thoroughly pleased. This is the first restaurant we ate at after moving here (truck was still loaded with furniture) and I couldn't believe how good the food was. Over three years later it is still at the top of my list for places to eat. I don't say this lightly. Great prices and awesome food.

MY REVIEW: Great food-always delicious!!!! and consistent- and the best chip dips in town (I love the green/verde salsa)! I usually get the Fish Cancun or the Shrimp Burrito. Sometimes we stop by just to get the dip to go for a snack at home. The service is usually adequate, not usually too overly pleasant but not unpleasant either- service is usually good, sometimes we wait too long for a drink or whatnot but not too often. Again, the food is delicious- QUALITY Mexican food (no store-bought tortillas here) and priced fairly. I definitely recommend it to others!

MY REVIEW: Service good. Food needs work. Fajita burrito not served hot. Mely's Salad - salmon very strong smelling and dry. Salsa, green and red both delicious. Chips multitextured some thin, some thick. Okay, but would not go back there.

MY REVIEW: We stopped in for appetisers Saturday late afternoon just as the dinner crowd was beginning to stream in, and received excellent service. Even though the waitress knew we would not be ordering full meals, she couldn't have been more accomadating. Combination nachos were outstanding. A lady came by offering to make guacamole tableside. It was so good that we had her make another to go. If the dinners are as good as the nachos and guac, then I'd say Tomball has a good Mexican restaurant.

MY REVIEW: The only thing wrong with Los Cucos is that I am not there now! Tonight is 1.59 Margarettas and free appiitzer bar at the bar! Ground beef, queso, salsa chipgs tortillos lettus, and let us move on...My kids love it, my boy feller loves it, and my girl friends and I can stop on the way home from work, have a couple cheep, but delious margarettas, and some free food, while the kids are at camp! I feel young again.! Be there and have a great time, I have had several great visits, the one bad one...was when the waiter with the pony tail did not give me my card back, but my boy was observant and had me look for it, because he did not see the guy give it back. I looked like mad for it for 10 minits, and finaly the waiter gave it back to me. I havent seen him since, maybe he got moved on!

MY REVIEW: They have good food but the service is RUDE!!!!They act like it is a honor to serve you if that is what you call it. The waiter came to our table to take our order and when i was telling him what i wanted he cut me off when I was asking for my cheeses on the side and faced my friend to get her order. If you want a refill....good luck!! You have a better chance locating a smurf!!! Good food but service not worth it!!!

MY REVIEW: I'm surprised there is only one other review for the Pearland location because the food is really good. From the LARGE lunch menu I selected the Los Mono (think that's the name) plate which looked as good as it tasted: very tender beef & chicken fajitas smothered in white cheese, bell peppers, tomatoes and mushrooms; 3 homemade flour tortillias; a large, tasty green enchilada; tons of very good rice; excellent borracho beans. And all served on a sizziling platter with condinments of sour cream, cheese & guac. Lots of well prepared Tex Mex for $11 on the lunch meuu. Good service. Attractive building. Excellent red & green salsas.

MY REVIEW: Great food. Great service. Very reasonable prices. So many items on the menu I Haven't been able to sample them all, especially as some have the power to cause me to drive the 12 miles just thinking about them! This location has the feel of a mom and pop cafe and I was shocked to find how many locations they have. The Katy Mills location was not up to the standards of this one. The green tortilla sauce is the best I've eaten. The tortilla chips actually have substance and flavor, unlike the thin cardboard served at P*appaseita's. Definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant in Houston.

MY REVIEW: I love this place. Great Mexican food at a reasonable price. The menu is huge and everything I've had is excellent. Nice staff too. In my opinion, it's the best Mexican food in Pearland and possibly in the Houston area.

MY REVIEW: What is it that people want to rush and eat? I like the place and yeah they are slow! but I go out to eat and relax, not rush and stuff food down my mouth! I have been going here sice they moved and hey! I like it and my wife and I try many places and still come back here to eat. Why? because they make good food, service sucks because they are busy! busy! busy! must be a reason why? oh yeah the food is good! The next time you go out to eat here have two shots and relax. Remember! they are always packed at dinner, why? because they are good!!!
