MY REVIEW: Too expensive for such bland food and too slow of service. Nice building and clean. It just takes too long to get waited on and to get the food delivered.

MY REVIEW: The Firehouse is so awesome, i adore how they are more upscale than most placed in el campo...and believe me, we've tried all the restaurants here...nothing compares to Firehouse. My faves are the salads and more importantly the SALAD DRESSING, they have a wonderful freshly made garlic vinegrette, of course the burgers are great, pastas excellent, and they always have new dishes as the daily specials, they are always perfect combinations of pasta's, meats and sauces...tonight i'm having the grilled shrimp with basil pesto over pasta...with cherry tomatoes...how yummy does that sound?? They offer a good kids menu with homemade food, nothing frozen. Service is always great...and yes they are busy a lot but that's a good sign that what they have to offer is worth waiting for. My only not so good comment would have to be on the dessert, i've tried just the chocolate siren cuz i love chocolate but this wasn't up to par with the rest of the menu, the cake was dry, the filling tasted like canned frosting and it was disappoting...but maybe they will improve it. Anyways...my whole family LOVES the firehouse!!

MY REVIEW: last visit was subpar, had to wait a long time for our fried mushroom appetizer and when it finally got there, it tasted like the cook had soaked them in cajun hot sauce, sent them back. the rajun for some cajun pasta was superb as always, but on an ironic note, it's never spicy! just delicious....the waitress was very good as usual, she made a mediocre visit bareable.

MY REVIEW: If you're tired of eating the same things over and over, give the Firehouse a try during lunch. There is always something different. If it's an old standby...they give it an added touch and umph...And if you like to try new foods, they offer that, too. Antipasto plates, goat cheese, quiche, things you see in the gourmet scene. It may not be their focus right now, but small towns don't convert easily and I would guess that's their biggest clientele. I love their willingness to accommodate my food requests. Maybe this salad with that meat or etc. It never seems like a big deal to them. As for my husband and I, we like a variety of food and the Firehouse never lets us get bored.

MY REVIEW: 2nd and last time I visit this place.1st time waited 15 minutes and not one staff asked me if I wanted a drink or menu, had to leave as I was invisible to them.2nd time entered the resturant at 11:55 didn't recieve my order until 12:30 and the wife and I were the first ones seated in our section plus others that were seated later in our section rec'd their orders before us.Bill for 2 smallish Cobb salads and 2 iced teas, just under $25.00,for lunch......Guy at the bar in a straw Panama hat kept hollering for another beer.....I'll eat at D*uson's Diner from now on....

MY REVIEW: Been here twice and both times it was a meal to remember, enjoyed the Cajun pasta dish so much the first time, I ordered it again!! Delicious!!
This restaurant used to be an old fire station, so all you firefighters out there, this is your place, good food and good people, bring a picture of firefighters or a VFB baseball cap, they may hang it on their walls! They also have excellent Cobb Salad, mashed potatoes, batter fried french fries and onion rings to die for.
