MY REVIEW: Very impressed with my visit. Good selection of beers available including a few on draft. Huge portions. My wife and I split the "Barn Yard Feast" and ordered a cup of the Goulash soup. The "cup" turned out to be a good-sized bowl of meaty, nicely spiced soup, not thin like I've had in some other German restaurants.
The various sausages in the platter were excellent -- full of flavor, and not at all greasy. The red cabbage on the side was just right, with a hint of sweetness. We were too stuffed to eat dessert, but ordered a piece of the Black Forest cake to go. I'd rate this as adequate, though not exceptional.
Prices were very reasonable considering the portions and the quality of the food. I'll definitely be back.

MY REVIEW: My wife and I are not experts on german food, but we have found some excellent places on our trips; our experience at Wurst Haus is no among the top ones. We both had schnitzel, hers with jagger saucer and mine stuffed with ham and cheese; compared to our favorite O*ma's Haus in New Braunfels, the food at Wurst Haus felt heavier. The sides were good, and for dessert, the vanilla ice cream was actually better than the appfelstrudel, which was disappointing. Service was friendly, no complains in that area.

MY REVIEW: Just so-so. As fans of the old Wurst Haus, we were looking forward to this new one that we asssumed was run by the same people. It isn't and the food is not the quality of the original. It's ok, just not "wow!" like the original was.
I've had their beef rolls (ok) and reuben (a little better than ok) and will probably opt for their sandwiches from now on. I also tried their chicken salad and it was very heavy on the mayonnaise.
My husband has tried 3 of their sausage dishes and said they're all ok but way too salty sauces on them.
The desserts are very good, but the serving sizes are very small. Not enough to share between two people.
We tried the beer battered mushrooms and were disappointed that, for the cost, all we got were 6 small marble sized mushrooms.
