Beesaw's Cafe & Saloon

MY REVIEW: If a smoked filled room and frozen crinkle cut french fries appeals to you, thnk this is the place to have lunch. The fish was thin and crispy and that is about it. Soggy fries and frozen onion rings complete the picture. First and last visit.

MY REVIEW: I went for lunch with a friend on Saturday to Besaw's(that's how it is spelled on the business card) Cafe and Saloon. Don't let the name fool you, no alcohol is served. It is strictly BYOB. If you're visiting the San Jacinto Monument or the Battleship Texas with the kids and feel a bit peckish, then have no worries, you are not taking them to a bar. It is a wonderful barbecue joint. I had the sliced brisket with baked beans and french fries. The delicious brisket was piled wide and high. There was enough for three meals. Next time I'm going to have to try their buffalo burger. I'm unaware of another restaurant in this area serving buffalo. You don't have to wait until company comes to town to go see the Monument or the Battleship. Go see some wonderful local history and stop by Besaw's for some wonderful barbecue.
