MY REVIEW: The food is absolutley delicious and authentic. Ambiance is not the point here, I usually get my lunch to go. There are very few Greek restaurants in the galleria area and Stelio's offers quick service, great tasting food, and large portions at good prices.

MY REVIEW: I was in the Galleria area recently and started getting inspired for a Gyro sandwich. I don't know what all the fuss about prices at Stelio's is about as this sandwich was under $6.00 and there was enough meat for 2 of them just about anywhere else I can think of.
Definitely worth checking out if you like Greek food and you're in the Galleria area. Not fancy but good eats for sure.

MY REVIEW: Sorry, but the guy eating the gyro and grape leaves is right - hyper, loud and gas fumes. Cost / Pleasure ration is askewed. Too many other options.

MY REVIEW: I can't believe the review, below concerning the prices being too high. All I can say is better not go to N*iko N*ikos if price is a concern. This place really serves a value packed gyro and scrumptious. If you order a gyro, fries and a drink it will set you back about $8 and some change. That's hardly high! I always go during lunch and after I order my food, I take a seat and they normally call out the order but sometimes will bring it to you. The Greek Salad is not to be missed if you really want a good salad. I also have tried the pastichio (Greek-style lasagna), hotdogs and the moussaka (sp) and the baklava. All are very tasty and under $10, so I can't complain.

MY REVIEW: I have only had the gyro and the grape leaves in all my visits. Both were good. Prices seemed high to me, and I don't mind spending money, but I guess going to a gas station to eat, I expected prices that were not comprable to a proper restuarant. Staff at the food service side was impatient, but the lady at the c-store counter was down right hyper turning rude. Too many other options. I'll wait until they develop a sit down venue, or go when I too am in a rush.

MY REVIEW: My new favorite place to eat for a quick meal during my lunch break! Don't let the location discourage your from trying their yummy selections. The owner converted an old car repair shop into a Greek deli with fabulous results. We had the Greek combo platter and split it between two people. It was huge and delicious and gave us a great sampler of at least 7 items. Also, save room for dessert... the Greek cheesecake was perfect.

MY REVIEW: The gyro plate is AWESOME! Get a single gyro if your ar not looking for left-overs. Not knowing the portions, my wife and I both got an gyro plate and ate gyros for three days!!! Definately share one plate!!!! Fries were good as well. Only complaint...more pita bread to go with all that gyro meat!!!!!!!!!

MY REVIEW: Where elso can you get gas, a new set of tires, a beer, and plump Gyro in one place? My new fav! maybe next time there'll be a copy center attached? The Gyros beat N*ikko N*ikko's based on portion size..whopper Gyro. Didn't try the Greek salad yet, but the thick greek fries were outstanding, nice and crispy on the edges. Looks like they cut the deli meats right in front of you on their sandwiches. Friendly staff, and CLEAN!

MY REVIEW: We have eaten at Stelio's many times. The food is great and the so is the service. They Gyros and chicken pita are wonderful. The portions are huge, but save room for dessert. Steve has done a woderful job getting his deli online. Plus if you need car care you can have it done while you dine. We will continue to eat there when ever we have a chance.

MY REVIEW: I immediately knew the food was authentic Greek by taste, texture, and smell. It is rare to see authentic Greek restaurant in Texas and I was thrilled to see one. My saliva got out of control in drooling. It was so delicious. I especially love the idea of seeing Teddy working there who know signs because I am deaf myself and I was able to ask him questions about different kind of Greek food. His discussion with me about different Greek food was quite educational. I am looking forward to eat at Stelio's again.

MY REVIEW: On my first visit we almost passed Stelio's up on Richmond and we were glad that we didn't. My husband had the gyro platter. I had the hamburger and we both had baklava. The portions were the perfect size, the service friendly and quick and the food was terrific. 'Teddy' was very helpful in recommending food and drinks that would be good to try. I highly recommend this little restaurant with character to anyone looking for a good Greek or non-Greek meal.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I eat here 5 times a week! No kidding! It's around the corner from our house and since they opened, I don't cook any more. The food is THAT good and the staff is the best! We've eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner there and have never been disappointed. My favorite is the chicken pita. The chicken has a wonderful flavor along with the grilled vegetables and that warm, soft pita! Oh, my! Prices are good and even my mother would think it clean. Do yourself a flavor... go visit.

MY REVIEW: At this restaurant, the food is so delicious that one feels like coming back, again and again. The mousaka is superb, along with the potatoes; then, the pastichio is out of this world. My favorite to accompany the main dish is their Greek salad with the Kalamata and Feta cheese, so good with the colorful and tasty peppers, onions and herbs. The Souvlaki with the soft and warm pita bread is something you can't miss. For dessert one must have Baklava, Galaktobouriko and a good cup of coffee. Leftheri, or "Teddy" as everyone calls him, is a very special person, always polite, ready to offer new customers tidbits to have a taste of their delicious dishes unknown to new customers, and many times convincing them to order such dishes. So, Stelios, I have only praise for your great efforts and I pray for your continuous success. Andaxi, Stelios, Epharisto poli!! ;)

MY REVIEW: Ignore the fact that this deli is in a gas station. We have stopped going to any other Greek restaurant for carry out. If you want a gyro that will make you cry, chicken kabobs to write home about, Stelio's is the place. What a find!

MY REVIEW: This place rocks. Food is tasty and plentiful. The staff is friendly. I got the gyro with greek potatoes. The gyro was loaded with beef and the cucumber/yogart sauce they typically add was not overbearing. This was oen of the best gyros I have ever had, if not the best. I am glad I only work around the corner from this place because I will be back.

MY REVIEW: It's a complete misnomer to call it fast food. Stelio's serves up Greek delicacies that would make Zorba dance! I had the gyros plate during my first visit - outstanding! Delicious and juicy meat combined with crisp, fresh vegetables and warm pita. The tatziki sauce was incredible.
Second visit featured the chicken kabob. Some of the best I've had. Again, had a complete love affair with the tatziki sauce. Afraid I might have embarrassed myself.
Steve and his family are incredibly friendly and attentive, I felt very welcome and my business valued. This is a lunchtime jewel in the Galleria. Do yourself a favor and go. Next time I get a chance, I'm sampling some of the breakfast goodies.
Opa!

MY REVIEW: This one week old Greek deli in the Galleria area would make any other Greek restaurant run for its money!
Everything here is equally as good or even better. The souvlaki is meatier and the gyros are better. The platters are all of an ample amount, and the gyros, I must say, are the best I've had in town! The salad is even very fresh and you can pick the toppings you want as well.
They also make regular sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs to serve your American cravings as well.
They also serve breakfast -- a wide variety from tacos, eggs & bacon, omelettes, and some Greek specialties.
The only thing that they didn't have ready at the time were the Greek desserts, so I've still had yet to try those. They did have baklava and something else, but it was not made at the spot, so the quality of the desserts were not as spectacular as the food.
I hope this place stays in business as I've never had a better gyro elsewhere! The place is very clean and surprisingly is inside a convenience store at a gas station. Who would have imagined that the best gyros would come out of here?
Kudos to the skilled cook who brings his 19 years of experience from M*ykonos Island restaurant in Houston to this location and kudos to the wonderful staff who has provided friendly service!

MY REVIEW: Don't let the fact that this is inside a service station keep you away. In fact, it is much more like a deli that sells gas rather than the other way around.
On my first (but not last) visit I tried their burger. It was both large and very good. Interesting that they start by cooking it over flames and finish it off on a grill. The flavor was good and the bun large and fresh.
Will go back to try their breakfast and again to sample their Greek dishes.
