MY REVIEW: I find it funny that someone says "the area is shakey" Petes isn't located anywhere near the ghetto. its on a side road that people take instead of the freeway. The burgers are so yummy and their fries are YUMMO love their okra and fried pickles....love love love petes....

MY REVIEW: Pete’s always has always produced a fresh homemade burger that is quite superior to the national-chain M*cD and B*K joints located nearby in Porter on Highway 59. Because it is located out of view from the freeway, Pete’s clientele consists almost entirely of indigenous Porter/Kingwood/New Caney residents and is clearly a local homegrown favorite.

But unfortunately, just like nearly everyone else nearby, Pete’s fries and onion rings are frozen – not fresh. If Pete’s were to begin making their fries and onions rings fresh, I think they would transform from being a good place to eat into a fantastic place to eat.

MY REVIEW: It's one of those places that scares you when you first drive up. The neighborhood is shaky and the sign looks hand drawn. But that's what makes Pete's Burger Place the best kept foodie secret in Houston! You can't get a better burger at any of those trendy new burger chains. Here you can actually taste the burger. And it's great! The toppings are more than generous. These are the hottest (temp-wise) burgers you have ever eaten. Downside? No beer- soda and tea only.

MY REVIEW: This is the greatest place for good old fashioned food, service and atmosphere. The only thing lacking is table space, but the food makes up for sometimes having to wait for a table when they're busy. The burgers are wonderful but my favorte is the Chicken sandwich which comes with grilled onions, onion rings, swiss cheese and bacon on a grilled bun with a side or their famous onion rings. It is out of this world good.

All employees are friendly, the place is clean, you can't go wrong.

MY REVIEW: I think this is the best burger joint in the area. I have always heard so much about B*ill's Cafe and their great burgers, but it wasn't until I tried Pete's Burger that I realized everything else pales in comparison. The atmosphere is great, it reminds me of a diner off of some lone highway and the cheeseburger and fries are delicious. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu!

MY REVIEW: We go there 1 to 2 times a week and love it! I have tried just about everything on the menu and it was all outstanding. If it is your first time, don't burn your mouth - the food is really right off the grill and does not sit in the window waiting to come to the table. The staff is wonderful and the food is heavenly. LOVE the cheeseburgers but don't deny yourself the patty melt - the cheese and grilled onions are beyond compare!!

MY REVIEW: Having worked in the fast food business for 15 years, and knowing a quaility burger when I find one, I must say Pete's is one of the best as far as taste, quality products, and service as you can find. This is definately not fast food, although they do get your order out fairly fast, it is truely cooked to order burgers made one at a time the old fashion way, with good fresh produce, a nice big toasted bun, and quality meat that taste fresh and well prepared. The hot dog as well is a good portion and prepared well/ Personally, I would like to see a better quality French Fry to go with the great burger, but they do offer Onion Rings as a substitute, which is worth the money. I drive around the Houston area with my work, and anytime I am going to be in the Kingwood/Porter area, I make it a point to include a lunch stop at Petes. I really think with some time, they can become the best burger in Houston.

MY REVIEW: I just moved to kingwood a few months ago and it has been a little depressing not having any good burger joints close to home like i did when I lived in the downtown area. I drove buy Pete's Burger Place a couple of times on may way to home Depot and decided one day to give it a try. WOW, what tasty burger. I would reccomend people from downtown to make the drive to porter. Very clean inside and nice wait staff. I am definately going to become a fixture on the wall.

MY REVIEW: I am one of the lucky ones. I work two streets down from Pete's. So as soon as I smelt the food so I had to take my lunch break to try it when they finally opened and I get my lunch or dinner ther st least 5 times a week. Yes they are just that good. My favorite thing is all the bread is grilled not toasted. It makes their burgers in my opinion are the best in texas if not the states. The best sandwich is there Grilled Chicken Melt (like a patty melt but on white grilled bread), I pesonally have to have my with grilled jalapenos. French fries are excellent but the onion rings are the best I've ever had. It costa .60 cents as a upcharge but are more than worth it.

MY REVIEW: My family and I discovered Pete's Burger Place this past summer, by reading an excellent review they had written up about them in the local newspaper, just the day before. We were impressed right away, by the friendly service. A very "family friendly" kind of hamburger joint...The lunch crowds are usually quite busy! Their burgers are made of Angus beef and are huge! They have a daily basket special, always cheaply priced, to choose from. They have several burger choices, hot dogs, chicken strips, grilled chicken and lots more! There is also a Kids Meal. Tonight I ordered the wings and they were VERY GOOD! They recently started offering homemade cakes and pies, too. (I will have to save room for cake, the next time I go!) The portions are large and the prices are all very reasonable. Very friendly staff and also, very clean! Worth the drive in, no matter where you are coming from! (Just on the edge of Kingwood). I believe they are only open Monday thru Saturdays, and I think they close on Sundays.
